Marvel Rise of Lord God Chapter 16

Stan's Conspiracy

“Alright, you and Aje continue to interact with Tony, and based on further interactions, I’ll decide whether or not to bring those others in,” Qiyun nodded to Qiqi.

“Yes, Lord,” Qiqi responded proudly, holding her head high.

After Qiyun left, Qiqi slapped Aje on the head, “Can’t you pay more attention when speaking to the Lord? Look, your chat with Tony Stark went smoothly enough.”

“Thinking is necessary when talking to outsiders, but not so much with you guys. It’s too tiring,” Aje chuckled in response.

Hearing this, Qiqi smiled.

“Alright, alright, you keep training. I must observe Alice; bringing her in might also be effective.”

Meanwhile, back in the Marvel Universe, besides contacting Pepper, Tony began reviewing the footage of what happened during his absence with JARVIS.

After watching the entire video, Tony looked slightly tense. Although he had already experienced the power of the Main God Space, seeing it on video made it even more tangible.

“JARVIS, perform a full network scan. I want to see how many others in the world have also been chosen by the Main God Space,” Tony immediately instructed JARVIS.

From just the Resident Evil world alone, Tony felt the terrifying threat of the suitable candidates.

If a suitable candidate returned with the T-virus and released it into this world, the consequences would be dramatically severe.

Without any preparation, the Marvel Universe might survive the crisis due to its far greater resources than Resident Evil, but the number of casualties would undoubtedly be high.

The Mad Titan’s plan to reduce the population might just skip Earth, as after a bioterrorism event, it’s uncertain if even half the population would remain.

Moreover, Tony couldn’t be sure whether the Main God Space had any restrictions on similar large-scale weapons of mass destruction, as he didn’t possess any.

However, being prepared could never be wrong.

Sharing his concerns was the head of Hydra within S.H.I.E.L.D., Alexander Pierce.

One of Pierce’s agents had recently been chosen by Qiyun to join the Main God Space.

After returning, this brainwashed Hydra agent decisively reported everything.

He was then punished accordingly, stripped of all his gains from that mission. Furthermore, his next mission was designated as a punishment mission, with the difficulty increased by two hundred percent, and the mission time was moved up to seven days later.

This punishment came because the agent had only told Pierce.

After thinking for a long time in his office, Pierce stood up and left S.H.I.E.L.D.

Before this, he had managed to send Sitwell on a field operation through some maneuvers, as some matters still couldn’t be done within S.H.I.E.L.D.

Pierce knew Nick Fury well; despite having promoted him, Pierce knew that Fury was suspicious of everyone.

Pierce was confident if he did something suspicious that didn’t fit his profile, Fury would suspect him. Then, the information about Hydra’s involvement could no longer be hidden.

Arriving at a Hydra safe house, Pierce, now in disguise, knocked on the door using a specific frequency.

After waiting a few minutes and repeating the knock, the door finally opened.

Pierce walked in, and Sitwell was sitting on the sofa.

“Sitwell, how are you feeling now?” Pierce asked.

Sitwell shook his head, “I still can’t control the sudden surge in strength very well.”

The shredded bedding around him confirmed his words.

Pierce sat across from Sitwell.

“Tell me more. What do you feel?”

“A sudden increase in power limit brings a sense of expansion,” Sitwell began slowly. “However, after testing, this feeling quickly disappears. After all, I can only crush a cup with my bare hands, and the harder materials are still beyond my reach.”

Pierce nodded, “Have you discovered any information about your next mission?”

“No,” Sitwell recalled, “I think my permissions aren’t enough to access such information. In the Main God Space, I mostly encounter newcomers and haven’t heard of anyone else who has to undergo a punishment mission like me.”

“By normal timelines, I should receive the details of the punishment mission in three days.”

Listening to Sitwell, Pierce’s mind raced. So far, he had not discovered a second person who had entered the Main God Space.

Regardless, Sitwell now could not die!

“Don’t worry, I will fully support you through this,” Pierce reassured him, patting Sitwell’s shoulder. “Contact me immediately if there’s any new information. In the meantime, don’t discuss anything about the Main God Space with anyone else to avoid increasing the difficulty of your mission.”

“I understand,” Sitwell replied, hesitating slightly.

“What’s wrong? Is there another problem?” Pierce asked, noting Sitwell’s grave expression.

Sitwell nodded seriously.

“During my inquiries, there was a concerning piece of news. It seems someone obtained the T-virus from a mission.”

“What?!” Pierce’s brow furrowed.

“How reliable is this information? Is it from our world?”

“I’m not sure,” Sitwell shook his head.

Both men fell silent. They were Hydra, yes, wanting to rule the world, but that didn’t mean they wanted to wreck humanity.

The time you were ticked by slowly.

During this period, the things Tony and Pierce were worried about did not happen.

The Marvel Universe remained relatively calm; the Resident Evil crisis had not unfolded in this world.

Tony’s recent speech at a press conference was the most attention-grabbing event.

Tony had not shut down Stark Industries’ weapons manufacturing but instead introduced stricter purchasing restrictions than before.

The restrictions weren’t on the quantity purchased but on the buyer’s identity.

Following the speech, Stark Industries’ stock, which had just begun to recover, started plummeting again, the drop sharper than during Tony’s disappearance.

Bang, several smashed objects could be heard coming from Stane’s office.

Employees outside made a wide detour; this had been happening for several days. Tony’s decision greatly impacted Stane’s interests.

But that wasn’t what made him angriest; what infuriated him the most was that Tony had made this decision after only discussing it with Pepper, consulting no one else.

“Am I less important to the company than that girl?!” Stane vented furiously for a while, then growled.

Sitting on the sofa for a while, Stane seemed to make a decision. He pulled a silver case from under his desk.

Staring at the case, Stane was silent for a long time, then slammed his fist on the desk.

Tony Stark! You forced my hand!
