The Pirate: Dark Admiral Chapter 9

Tina

“Slavers… slaver ships…” Rougishu Hyuga’s eyes became unfocused, and his killing intent surged. For him, these words were an absolute taboo.

Seeing several iron balls launched into the air, Rougishu lightly stepped on the Sea King beneath him and coldly commanded, “Dive into the sea… destroy the ships.”

The Sea King’s massive, grinding wheel-sized eyes showed human-like fear as it immediately submerged its giant body into the rolling sea.

The gunners of the Jacks Pirates couldn’t believe their eyes. What was happening? Did that Sea King dive into the sea before the cannonballs could hit, or did it have human-like intelligence?

If it was the former, they could accept it. But if it was the latter… the gunners didn’t dare imagine what would happen next!

“Captain, Captain…” The pirate who had delivered the orders approached the captain cautiously. “That Sea King dove into the sea, and our cannon fire missed.”

Jack didn’t care much, considering it was just a bonus. “Did it run away? Lucky Sea King. Forget about it. Everyone stay alert. Don’t let Louis burn the ship out of desperation. Those war supplies from the Kingdom of Hisca are the real prize!”

Seeing the messenger pirate still lingering, Jack said irritably, “Stop dawdling. If you have something to say, spit it out.”

“Captain, we’ve observed that the Sea King seemed to sense danger and dove into the sea. If it really has intelligence and plans to ram our ships from below, we could be in serious trouble…”

“Idiot, did a fish eat your brain? How could such a beast have intelligence? Besides, my Black Phantom is built with…” Jack smirked cruelly, reaching for his weapon, ready to draw his large, black gun. But then the ship began to shake violently.

Each collision against the hull sounded like thunder, striking the pirates’ hearts. Cracks spread across the ship’s structure, mirroring the growing fear in the pirates’ minds.

“It’s here! That Sea King is back for revenge!” cried a terrified pirate, collapsing on the deck.

“Hold steady! We can win…” Jack shouted, trying to rally his men, but the sudden sound of the ship splitting made him panic. Clinging to the mast, he screamed for help, “Idiots, get the other ships over here! I’m a Devil Fruit user! Do you want me to drown?”

Jack’s reputation still held some sway. The other ships quickly moved to assist, but a massive tail suddenly emerged from the sea, shattering the approaching vessels instantly.

Unlike the flagship, the ordinary ships couldn’t withstand a single strike from the monster, forcing the remaining ships to retreat rapidly.

“You…” Jack was almost apoplectic with rage, starting to believe the Sea King was seeking revenge.

Seeing himself abandoned by his men, Jack made a desperate decision. Clinging to the floating mast, he drew his pistol and fired into the sea.

The bullet, enhanced by his Amplification Fruit, pierced the water with unimaginable speed, heading for the shadow beneath the surface.

This was the power granted by the Amplification Fruit, a lesser version of the Moa Moa Fruit used by the legendary pirate World Breaker Byrnndi World. However, while the Moa Moa Fruit multiplied power, the Amplification Fruit only added to it.

Although the bullet penetrated the water, it was no stronger than a pebble by the time it reached the Sea King.

The next moment, the Sea King’s massive tail descended like divine retribution, smashing Jack’s last foothold to pieces in his despairing eyes.

The remaining pirate ships scattered like frightened birds, not daring to linger.

In the distance, Louis’s fleet could hardly believe their eyes. What was happening? The formidable Jacks Pirates had disintegrated instantly, and their savior was… a Sea King?

Of course, Louis’s fleet did not lower their guard. Such a fierce beast didn’t distinguish between friend and foe; they could be next.

“General Louis, what should we do? Should we kill that Sea King while it’s still on the surface?”

The consensus was clear: Sea Kings were invincible in the sea, as proven by the Jacks Pirates’ fate.

“No, don’t provoke it!” Louis took a deep breath, making a difficult decision.

He wasn’t confident they could kill the Sea King before it submerged, so he chose not to anger this sea demon.

“This big guy is a Sea King? The sea is so different from the island!” A soft, sweet voice came from behind, making the usually composed Louis’s face change dramatically. “My little angel, why are you out here? Go back to the cabin!”

The cute little girl with short pink hair pouted. “Tina isn’t a child anymore. I watched the whole sea battle. Dad, you’re really lame!”

“Lame… lame… lame…” The words echoed like a curse, leaving the doting father devastated. For any doting father, such words hit like a thousand blows.

The “fierce” Sea King approached, its massive shadow covering most of the ship. Louis’s fleet’s soldiers were drenched in sweat, their discipline barely keeping them from acting rashly under immense pressure.

Seeing the Sea King open its maw wide, seemingly ready to swallow them whole, the soldiers’ hearts sank. Louis’s hand moved to his sword, ready to strike the beast down before it could submerge.

At that moment, a figure leaped from the Sea King’s mouth, landing steadily on the deck before them.

The “fierce” Sea King then lowered its body to the deck’s level, its vicious eyes showing a human-like desire to please. It made cooing noises that reminded Louis of a dog waiting for its master’s praise.

“Good job… you can go now!” Rougishu nodded. As the first Sea King to escape him, it could boast about this for a year.

The Sea King chirped happily, its massive tail slapping the water as it swam away at top speed.

A person worthy of being called the kingdom’s guardian wasn’t a fool. Louis had roughly guessed the situation. Although he didn’t know how this boy tamed the Sea King or why he helped them, it didn’t stop him from expressing his gratitude.

If not for this boy, he couldn’t imagine what would have happened to him, his fleet, his country, and Tina!

Standing next to Louis, Tina blinked her big, cute eyes. Could this boy, who looked just a few years older than her, tame a Sea King?

How enviable! I want to learn that, too!
