Marvel Princess Chapter 65

Spiders Arrive

Chapter 65: Spiders Arrive

Leaving the town and the highway, away from areas of human activity, they first felt the heat, followed by the endless sand and desolation.

The next moment, a few Indians with painted faces jumped out of the sand. Bella wouldn’t have been surprised; the place was truly desolate.

With a bit of a mischievous streak, Natasha yelled into the wilderness.

“Want to shout too? It’s great for relieving stress!”

Bella rolled her eyes. “With my beauty, what stress could I possibly have? If there is any, it’s you guys who aren’t as great as me.”

“When you get old, you’ll have stress.”

“How could I? As long as I keep a good mindset, I won’t age even in a hundred years!”

After their usual banter, they sped past a few boys on motorcycles with the speed of someone rushing to a car crash.

The boys seemed to shout something about joining them, but they ignored it. Natasha was speeding wildly while Bella was contemplating how she’d save herself if they crashed.

They didn’t crash. They stopped when they reached a gas station by the roadside outside town.

Bella couldn’t stand it anymore. Her high heels were filled with sand, and her toes were buried in it.

Natasha watched Bella leaning against the gas station wall, shaking sand out of her shoes and laughed so hard she clutched her stomach.

“Hahaha! This is killing me!”

“You must have done this on purpose. You’re jealous of me!”

“Yes, yes, I’m jealous. I admit it. Oh, hahaha…”

Knowing this might strain their friendship, Natasha quickly complimented her, “Just wash it off when we get back. By the way, you have really nice feet.”

Bella nodded, satisfied. “Good eye, but you need to be more sincere next time.”

“Run! Run! Run!” The boys on motorcycles shouted frantically at them. Suspecting a prank, Natasha stayed put, and Bella continued emptying her shoes.

Two seconds later, both girls realized the seriousness of the situation. A dozen calf-sized spiders appeared on the horizon, moving swiftly and leaping impressively. The boys on motorcycles were tackled, webbed up, and dragged away by the spiders.

Bella gauged their strength and stopped Natasha from running, “Don’t run, we need to help them!”

Natasha looked skeptical. Bella didn’t seem like someone who could fight giant spiders.

“Trust me!”

“Okay, what do I need to do?”

“Get your motorcycle ready. We’re going to save them! Wait, you need to hold my shoes. Christian Louboutin, they’re $1,100!” Bella handed her shoes to Natasha and began searching for a weapon.

While holding the heels, Natasha wondered where to put them as she needed to ride. She cleverly used her shoelaces to tie the heels to the handlebars. Whether they’d stay was a concern for later; the spiders were closing in fast.

“Hurry up!”

“I’m coming! Now watch me!”

Bella found a steel rod over half a meter long inside the gas station. After testing its weight, she decided it would make a good makeshift sword.

As Natasha started the motorcycle, Bella took a few strides, jumped lightly, and landed on the back seat.

Standing on the rear seat, Bella adjusted to the speed and balance. The designer at Saint Laurent likely never considered someone fighting on the back of a speeding motorcycle. Her outfit was not suitable for combat—the skirt was too tight, limiting movement. Despite the challenges, she twirled the rod, signaling she was ready.

“Wow! That’s amazing! You can do that?!”

Natasha was impressed. Balancing on a speeding motorcycle was no easy feat, and she doubted she could manage it without practice.

“I’ll control the speed. If you can’t hold on, we’ll flee!”

Natasha drove skillfully, occasionally glancing back.

Bella adapted to the bumpy ride, swiftly practicing moves with the rod.

“Let’s go!”

“Hold tight!”

Natasha, who loved adventure and excitement, knew all the boys in town. She wanted to save them if possible.

“Steady, steady, not too fast! Watch my distance from the spiders. Don’t let me face more than two at once.”

Bella’s instructions annoyed Natasha, “Stop nagging! I’m not an idiot!”

Natasha’s instincts and understanding in combat were astounding.

Their initial coordination was a bit rough, but after Bella’s lunge pierced a spider’s head, Natasha grasped her attack range and style.

Bella’s first impression was of comfort.

Natasha handled mobility, leaving Bella free to focus on not falling and attacking.

The motorcycle weaved around the spiders, kicking up clouds of sand. Natasha’s driving was stable, her timing perfect, ensuring Bella never faced more than two spiders at once.

Using her superior physical skills and decent swordsmanship, Bella only needed to stab the rod into the spiders’ heads.

On the limited space of the back seat, Bella executed a variety of moves: straight thrusts, lateral thrusts, lunges. She moved within the confined area, attacking and dodging, killing five spiders in under two minutes.

The remaining spiders, finding this prey troublesome, charged at them.

A “Pirates of the Caribbean” theme would have been perfect! Standing on the back seat, Bella swung the rod, imagining herself battling on a ship’s deck.

Weaklings! Not a single decent opponent!

Poor strength and dynamic vision matched the spiders’ impressive jumping ability.

Bella didn’t sense any magical influence; they seemed naturally grown. She thought of the waste barrel Samantha mentioned. Was it really a waste?

Bella, not a biologist, couldn’t figure it out and blamed Natasha’s bad luck for attracting trouble!
