Dragon Ball: I Will Become an Angel As a Saiyan Chapter 131

Broly Seeks Help Across Time

Broly Seeks Help Across Time (Part 1)

“Lord Merus, Lord Ren, let’s head back,” Gowasu suggested. “Zamasu, you’re coming too!”

Zamasu said nothing, but the Babari warrior’s rage-filled eyes glared at him, screaming and cursing. Zamasu’s killing intent grew stronger.

Smack!

Zamasu extended his right hand downward, and a glowing purple energy blade appeared.

“Zamasu, what are you doing?” Gowasu shouted in alarm.

The Babari warrior let out another savage roar, charging toward Zamasu like a wild beast.

Zamasu calmly raised his energy blade, preparing to strike.

“Zamasu, stop right now!” Gowasu commanded sternly.

With a swift motion, Zamasu swung his energy blade, slicing the warrior cleanly in half, from head to waist. The Babari warrior’s eyes went wide in disbelief, unable to comprehend his brutal end.

Zamasu grinned, his face twisted in satisfaction.

“You… Zamasu… Do you realize what you’ve done?” Gowasu gasped in horror.

This is a disaster, he thought to himself. He’d heard that Merus was the Grand Priest’s son, and now, Zamasu had done something so outrageous right in front of him.

If the Grand Priest found out, how would they explain this?

“We’re going back!” Gowasu’s face darkened even further.

Zamasu glanced at Gowasu, confused. He thought he had just saved the trainee angel. If he hadn’t intervened, perhaps Merus might have been harmed by the human. Though unlikely, it would have been humiliating for a human to strike an angel, right?

And yet, I’m being scolded for it?

“I’m terribly sorry, Lord Merus, Lord Ren,” Gowasu quickly apologized.

“No need to worry, Lord Gowasu,” Merus replied with a smile, not too concerned.

Merus was focused on training his own Supreme Kai and wasn’t inclined to comment on Gowasu’s apprentice. After all, Merus wasn’t one to meddle too much in others’ affairs.

“Let’s head back,” Gowasu suggested.

“Agreed,” Merus nodded.

Whoosh!

In the next instant, Gowasu transported Ren and the others back to their original timeline and used Instant Transmission to return to the Supreme Kai’s world.

Universe 9, Outer Space.

Having absorbed Broly, Majin Buu pushed his speed to its limit, leaving a bright trail across the cosmos.

Mosco followed close behind, but soon realized to his dismay that he was slowly falling behind.

“How is this possible? Why can’t I catch up with this guy?” Mosco was stunned.

Whoosh!

Sidra flew up from behind, stroking his red beard in amazement. “These two have really surprised me. By using this method, they’ve increased their power to the level of a God of Destruction!”

“They’ve reached the level of a God of Destruction?” Mosco’s mechanical face twitched with shock.

“Maybe even stronger than you,” Sidra speculated.

“That’s… that’s impossible! Absolutely impossible!” Mosco protested, unwilling to accept it.

“You should face the facts, Mosco,” Sidra laughed. “If he weren’t wary of me being here, he would’ve probably fought you to the death by now.”

“Tell him you won’t interfere!” Mosco gritted his teeth. “I refuse to believe I, an experienced God of Destruction, can’t defeat two combined trainee gods!”

“Are you sure about this?” Sidra snickered. “Don’t come crying to me for help if you lose.”

“I won’t need your help! I absolutely won’t lose to him!” Mosco declared. “Besides, they didn’t fuse with Potara Earrings. They merely combined bodies, so their power has only doubled or tripled at most!”

“Alright, I’ll let him know,” Sidra chuckled before accelerating his flight.

Whoosh!

Sidra swiftly overtook Mosco, closing in on Majin Buu.

Sidra’s speed was remarkable, and he rapidly gained on Buu.

In terms of power, if Broly’s purity of angelic energy was rated at 50, Sidra’s would be 51. Though the numerical difference seemed small, it created a significant gap, akin to a video game level boost.

This slight difference allowed Sidra to lead in speed by a considerable margin.

Majin Buu, sensing Sidra closing in, turned to glance over his shoulder.

Whoosh!

Buu opened his mouth and fired a green energy blast.

Smack!

Sidra extended his hand, his purple-red energy flashing as he nullified the blast.

Majin Buu’s face contorted with alarm as he hastily increased his speed again.

“What did Broly say I should do after absorbing him?” Buu muttered to himself as he flew. “I remember he told me to run… but what was I forgetting?”

As he pondered, Sidra called out from behind.

“Hey, Buu, listen to me! I won’t interfere in your fight with Mosco. In fact, I think you can beat him,” Sidra’s voice echoed from behind.

Majin Buu ignored him, continuing to speed up.

“I’m serious! I won’t get involved. This is between you two!” Sidra called out, laughing.

Majin Buu turned and made a face at him.

“Don’t you want revenge? Mosco, or rather Mule, gave you quite a beating earlier, didn’t he? Don’t you want to strike back?” Sidra taunted with a smirk.

Majin Buu hesitated, his triangular eyes gleaming with interest.

Whoosh!

Seizing the moment, Sidra caught up, flying side by side with Buu.

“I mean it. I won’t interfere. This is between you two. Settle your grudge here,” Sidra said, grinning as he glanced at Majin Buu.

Buu hesitated, unsure of what to do.

“What? You don’t believe me?” Sidra chuckled, his smile growing wider.

Just as Majin Buu was about to agree, a voice echoed in his mind.

“Don’t trust him! Don’t trust him!”

Buu snapped out of it.

It’s Broly! Buu realized. Even after I absorbed him, he can still speak inside my head.

“I don’t believe you!” Majin Buu made another face at Sidra and clenched his teeth, accelerating further. He raced through the vacuum of space, leaving a bright trail behind.

“Ungrateful fool!” Sidra growled, quickly chasing after him.

Boom!

Sidra struck with a powerful palm, landing directly on Majin Buu’s shoulder.

Buu’s shoulder twisted out of shape, and his entire body flipped wildly through space.

However, Buu quickly recovered, transforming his body into a large parachute-like sheet of flesh.

But in the vacuum of space, with no air resistance, his attempt to slow down failed.

At that moment, Mosco finally caught up, delivering a harsh kick to Majin Buu, sending him spiraling uncontrollably.

As Buu came to a stop, Mosco and Sidra blocked his path from the front and back.

“You’re not escaping this time!” Mosco sneered. “You gave me a beating earlier, and I won’t let you off!”

“I’ll say it again: I’m not getting involved. This is between you two,” Sidra snorted. “But if anyone tries to run, don’t blame me for stepping in!”

With that, Sidra backed away, stroking his red beard, watching the scene unfold with amusement.

Majin Buu glanced between his two foes, realizing escape was no longer an option. He would have to fight.

“Contact Ren! Contact Ren or Merus!” Broly’s voice suddenly echoed again in Buu’s mind.

Broly Seeks Help Across Time (Part 2)

“Uh… how do I contact them?” Majin Buu muttered, scratching his head.

“There’s a communication device for Ren on the armor. You can call him!” Broly’s voice echoed in frustration. “Right now, I can only communicate with you mentally, but I can’t control the body.”

“Uh… I can let you control it,” Majin Buu suddenly had an idea.

“Really?” Broly was surprised and overjoyed.

Majin Buu nodded firmly.

“Alright, I’ll take control,” Broly responded decisively.

“What? Are you still thinking about how to escape?” Mosco sneered. “You’re being naive. There’s no way you can escape!”

Just as Mosco finished speaking—

Whoosh!

Majin Buu’s body quickly began to change.

In the blink of an eye, Majin Buu’s pink form melted and reshaped itself, transforming back into the steel armor.

Boom!

The steel armor gleamed with a dark green aura.

Seeing the armor again, Mosco’s expression grew darker, and his eyes filled with hatred.

“Tell me, where did you get that armor?” Mosco demanded coldly.

“Found it,” Broly replied calmly.

“So, you’re Broly again?” Mosco was taken aback. “That pink blob is quite something. He’s letting you control his body now, isn’t he?”

Broly didn’t answer, immediately using the communication device on the armor to contact Ren.

In Universe 10, the Supreme Kai’s Realm.

After returning from 1,000 years into the future, Gowasu was extremely displeased with Zamasu’s behavior, especially because he had acted so recklessly in front of the son of the Grand Priest.

Gowasu’s face was full of disappointment as he scolded Zamasu: “Why did you do something so unnecessary, Zamasu? We could’ve just returned without doing anything!”

“Those humans are worthless. They’ll only destroy their planet’s environment. They’re trash on their world,” Zamasu argued. “Besides, if that human had struck Lord Merus, it would’ve been an insult to the gods! That’s why I killed him!”

“Actually… he wouldn’t have hit me… I could have dodged it,” Merus said, somewhat awkwardly.

Zamasu: “…”

“A god… dodging a human’s attack… doesn’t that go against what a god stands for?” Zamasu said, genuinely confused.

“I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Not every attack warrants retaliation. Besides, they probably thought we were invaders,” Merus explained earnestly.

Zamasu began to feel that this trainee angel seemed quite naive.

“Humans are inherently worthless!” Zamasu protested weakly.

“Nothing without value exists,” Gowasu responded, calming himself down with a deep breath. “Even earthworms help enrich the soil or serve as food for other creatures. Everything in nature has a purpose.”

“But earthworms aren’t trying to become humans,” Zamasu countered.

Gowasu: “…”

Gowasu wiped the cold sweat from his brow. Had he taken in a disciple who only knew how to argue?

Merus also quietly wiped away some sweat, thinking, No wonder the Grand Priest said Zamasu wasn’t suited to be a Supreme Kai. Today, I’ve learned my lesson.

Merus couldn’t help but glance over at Ren.

“Why are you looking at me?” Ren asked, confused. “What does this have to do with me?”

Merus didn’t respond. I’m looking at you because you were the one who said Zamasu was stubborn. But how did you know he’d be this stubborn? You’re always ahead of me.

“I was just giving an example, Zamasu, but…” Gowasu sighed, feeling that Zamasu was being too rigid in his thinking.

At the same time, Gowasu wondered if he had been too harsh or if Zamasu was just emotional after losing the tournament. After all, Zamasu, a god, had been defeated by a human, and that must have hurt his pride.

“Zamasu, why do you hate humans so much?” Gowasu asked, his tone softening.

“Humans, once they gain intelligence, almost always destroy their environment and the precious planets we created,” Zamasu replied. “They are the trash of the universe.”

“It’s true that we created the planets, but they are not our personal property,” Gowasu explained.

Zamasu suddenly didn’t feel like talking anymore.

This old man is too good at arguing. Are you trying to persuade me or just out-argue me?

“So, you plan to ignore the humans of Planet Babari?” Zamasu asked, holding back his frustration.

“We will simply watch from afar. Things that are destined to be destroyed will eventually destroy themselves,” Gowasu sighed.

“Then, what is the job of the Supreme Kai?” Zamasu asked, still agitated.

“Do you still not know? Our job is to maintain peace and balance in the universe. We must ensure that those who disrupt that peace and balance, be they planets or humans, return to their proper course,” Gowasu answered sternly.

“Don’t you think that’s too passive? We should be more proactive, using force to suppress evil. There are far more disobedient humans than planets,” Zamasu countered.

“That’s the job of the God of Destruction,” Gowasu clarified.

Zamasu: “…”

Maybe I should apply to be a God of Destruction’s disciple.

“Zamasu, having a strong sense of justice is admirable. But being too rigid can make your mind inflexible, like a perfectionist. Sometimes, only with a broad and tolerant heart can we achieve true peace,” Gowasu patiently advised, hoping his words would help Zamasu understand.

Zamasu was speechless.

What kind of logic is this? Why should I, a god, have to be tolerant toward these vile humans?

“So, you’re saying… we should just pretend we don’t see anything?” Zamasu asked, lowering his head.

“Zamasu, I admit you have the power to conquer evil,” Gowasu continued, “but you must not let pride and arrogance consume you, or you will pay for it eventually. The work of a Supreme Kai requires not strength in battle, but a peaceful heart to protect everything. Do you understand?”

Zamasu lowered his head even further and muttered quietly, “Then, what was the point of all the power I worked so hard to gain?”

“Think of it as a way to bring peace to your own heart,” Gowasu replied after a moment of thought.

Zamasu said nothing.

At that moment, he felt incredibly alone. Not only did his master not understand him, but even the trainee angel didn’t get it. And that wretched human was just standing there, enjoying the show.

Zamasu raised his head and glared angrily at Ren.

Ren: “???”

What the… I haven’t said anything this whole time! Why are you glaring at me? Is it just because I’m human? Do I not deserve to become a god?

Ren felt his frustration rise.

While he had a calm heart, Zamasu’s constant provocations were starting to wear on him.

I haven’t done anything to provoke you from the start.

Ren couldn’t help but miss Broly. If Broly were here, he’d probably tear Zamasu apart by now.

“I understand now… I truly apologize,” Zamasu said with a deep bow, though hatred had already taken root in his heart.

“Hmm, well, this old body of mine is tired after traveling 1,000 years through time. Zamasu, make us some tea. I was only criticizing your actions, not you as a person,” Gowasu said, trying to ease the tension.

“Yes, Master,” Zamasu replied, bowing again and heading off to make tea.

After crossing into the world of Dragon Ball, Ren became a Saiyan of Planet Vegeta. At the start, he traded a simple starchy sausage made of technology and hard work for Whis's simplified version of Ultra Instinct. Unexpectedly, he ended up cultivating the power of an angel.

From then on, Ren strived to become an angel.

Years later.

All the gods sat together at one table during the 88th convention of the Universe's Gods of Destruction, Supreme Kais, and apprentice angels.

Beerus suddenly stood up: "Ren, stand up for a moment."

Ren: "????"

Beerus: "Just stand up, it'll be quick."

Ren stood up, puzzled.

Beerus: "I wanted to say that everyone here is trash!"

Ren: "Beerus, sit down. I want to join in too."

Beerus: "You're an angel, why do you want to join?"
