The Viper of HYDRA, relying on her body’s durability, intended to withstand Yasuo’s attack, hoping to create an opportunity to use her venom.
Seeing an opening, Yasuo didn’t hesitate. His sword pierced the Viper’s abdomen.
Wounded in her stomach, the Viper grabbed Yasuo with one hand, her eyes turning yellow like a snake’s, mouth opening to reveal sharp venomous fangs and claws aiming for Yasuo’s neck. She intended to take him down in one swift, desperate move.
At this critical moment, a massive explosion sounded from afar. The ground trembled slightly, debris flew, and a large cloud of dust rose. Yasuo’s heart tightened with worry. He ignored the attack and threw a powerful punch at his enemy.
“Bang!”
“Snap!”
Two sounds echoed simultaneously. Yasuo’s passive skill, “Way of the Wanderer,” triggered a barely visible shield at the moment of the attack.
Yasuo’s punch struck the Viper’s face, the force distorting her cheek.
Accompanied by a woman’s scream, the Viper’s body was sent flying over three meters, with her special venomous fangs shattered.
Yasuo glanced at the Viper’s fallen body. Her face, caved in from the punch, twitched slightly. He wasted no time, turning and leaving the scene. The massive explosion had left him uneasy, sensing the ambush was more complicated than it seemed.
R. Giyera noticed Sharon Carter breaking free and triggering the trap, watching his partner Kebo engulfed by the explosion.
The formidable level-nine agent from S.H.I.E.L.D. indeed proved challenging. Using his telekinesis, Giyera checked Kebo’s vital signs. Despite severe injuries, he still had a faint breath. Recovery was only a matter of time.
After triggering the trap, Sharon Carter, injured, quickly concealed herself. She knew another enemy lurked in the shadows, still unnerved by her earlier loss of control.
While hiding, she analyzed the situation. Yasuo’s whereabouts were unknown but she wasn’t too worried. Stephen was gravely injured, his fate uncertain. The burly enemy took the brunt of her bomb trap; she doubted he survived. The telekinetic enemy remained hidden, her priority was to locate him, hide, and await Yasuo’s support. Patience was key.
R. Giyera, having lost sight of Sharon, stood amidst the chaotic aftermath of the explosion. The cunning woman had hidden again. He knew her intentions but remained confident.
Giyera, a former marine, carried his own pride. Brandishing a knife, he stepped forward.
“Come, level-nine agent. Show me your strength!”
Giyera walked boldly, first checking on Kebo. His partner, severely burned, had a large rock embedded in his abdomen, intestines spilling out. Giyera administered an injection to stabilize him.
After tending to Kebo, Giyera taunted Sharon, heading toward Stephen. Grabbing the rookie by the hair, he scanned the surroundings.
“This kid has tough luck, surviving such an explosion.”
Sharon faced a dilemma: reveal herself to save Stephen or continue hiding, waiting for Yasuo’s rescue.
“Ah!”
Giyera dug into Stephen’s back wound, waking him with excruciating pain.
Stephen, racked with pain, coughed violently, peering at the unfamiliar man, steeling himself for the end.
“If you don’t come out, I’ll have to say goodbye to this poor rookie.”
Giyera held a knife to Stephen’s throat, intending to lure Sharon out and then use his telekinesis to kill them both.
“Let him go!” Sharon’s voice rang out. One hand pressed against her wound, the other aimed a gun at Giyera.
She couldn’t bear to see Stephen die. Her gun was empty, but she could bluff.
“Impressive courage, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s ace agent, standing up even now. I must admire you.”
Giyera hadn’t expected her to appear, sacrificing herself for a rookie. His telekinesis activated, targeting Sharon. His attack could penetrate the brain, a move he had used successfully many times. He envisioned Sharon’s head exploding, brain matter blooming like a flower.
Absolute peril!
Switching perspectives to Yasuo, he hurried towards the explosion, hoping nothing had gone wrong. His keen hearing picked up a man’s taunts and Stephen’s screams.
Stephen’s cries intensified Yasuo’s urgency. His new girlfriend was clearly in grave danger.
Reaching the scene, Yasuo saw a man holding Stephen by the hair, a knife at his throat, clearly baiting Sharon.
As Yasuo prepared to attack, Sharon’s voice rang out.
This foolish woman, appearing now of all times, causing trouble! Yasuo cursed inwardly.
He saw an invisible energy spreading towards Sharon. In the nick of time, Yasuo used “Flash.”
Yasuo appeared in front of Sharon, a severe dizziness overtaking him as his mind felt like it was exploding. The Marvel world was indeed deep, with strange abilities emerging constantly. This unknown enemy posed a significant threat.
Seeing Yasuo in front of her, Sharon tackled him to the ground to prevent further harm.
Giyera’s expected outcome didn’t materialize. Seeing the biggest threat, Yasuo, appear, he instinctively planned to escape. With the Viper absent, it indicated a failed mission. Now, he only needed to secure his retreat.
However, witnessing Yasuo stand before Sharon and take his full telekinetic blow, clutching his head in pain, Giyera felt a surge of confidence. His ability could turn even powerful mutants into cripples.
The Viper, despite her reputation, hadn’t completed the mission. It was up to him.
