Seen him? Of course.
Figo had been to Loguetown when Roger was 5, and again when he was 12.
The coincidence of being here when the future Pirate King Roger and his first mate Rayleigh were about to set sail was planned. Figo looked at Rayleigh and said, “Want to join the marines? It’s a good idea. Come with me to Marine Headquarters later.”
Rayleigh’s eye twitched, and he laughed it off, replying, “You’re a marine…”
“Huh, a marine?!” Roger jumped. “Oh, I remember. You were in the group escorting those captured guys just now!”
Figo finally looked down at him and asked, “Why do you want to turn the world upside down?”
Rayleigh suddenly felt a bit nervous, looking at Roger. Fate is strange; maybe it was just Roger’s simple comment about “two people can’t sail this ship” that made Rayleigh feel a connection with him, making him worried for this guy.
Since you saw him escorting so many pirates, don’t talk nonsense!
Roger paused, looked up at Figo, then grinned.
“I can hear it, you know, this world crying!” he said, pressing his straw hat against his head.
A faint aura spread from him, making time seem to slow down and space freeze. Everything else faded away, leaving only the smiling Roger!
Rayleigh was astonished, looking at Roger.

Suddenly, there was a faint click.
The air started flowing again.
“Hey, hey, uncle, why did you cuff me to you?!” Roger exclaimed in surprise.
Figo smiled, “The world is crying? You can cry for me first, kid.”
Is this guy… dumb?
Rayleigh cursed internally.
“Uncle, let me go, let me go!”
“Hey, hey, I won’t be polite.”
“I really won’t be polite!”
Thud! Roger’s free fist hit Figo’s arm heavily!
“Put more strength into it, Master Roger,” Figo said, dragging Roger onto the slaver ship while quickly reviewing the prison files in his mind.
Yes, this counts as capture.
A long time ago, Figo realized it was inconvenient to activate the prison files only by locking prisoners in cells. So he sought more flexible methods.
Unable to find the “Cage-Cage Fruit” or similar, he considered carrying a portable cell to assemble and lock enemies in, but that was too cumbersome.

While Roger was throwing ineffective punches, he still had the curiosity to ask questions. When Figo dragged him to the cage on the slaver ship, Roger finally got anxious.
“I really won’t be polite!” His heavier punch hit Figo’s face with a thud.
Then…
“Ouch! It hurts! Why did your face suddenly become so hard?!”
“This is Tekkai, a martial art technique that only marines can learn. Of course, you won’t have the chance to know this.” Figo’s fingertips flowed with Haki as he unlocked Roger’s cuff and pushed him into the cage. “Want to turn the world upside down? Get in there!”
As Roger fell into the cage and Figo was about to lock it, a figure suddenly dashed from the side, heavily “knocking” Figo “off guard” and preventing the cage from locking.
Of course, it was Rayleigh.
He pulled Roger up, “Run!”
“No!” Roger refused, grabbing Rayleigh and moving his wrist, “I’m finally free. Thanks, Rayleigh. Haha, this uncle is really strong. Let him be our first opponent after setting sail!”
Damn, what a fool.
Rayleigh felt like an idiot, too, watching Figo warily. “Don’t be stupid. We can’t beat him. Run!”
“Didn’t you want to become a marine? Why are you saving him?” Figo asked.
Rayleigh smiled bitterly, “I don’t know.”
“I see.”

Neither saw it clearly; they just felt Figo’s speed and voice were synchronized. As soon as he finished speaking, he slipped between them and cuffed Rayleigh with the cuff on his wrist!
Damn it! Rayleigh panicked, drawing his sword and slashing, but hesitated slightly, reducing his strength midway.
“You even held back against me?” Figo smiled, flicking Rayleigh’s sword away, then casually grabbing and tossing Roger aside.
Unlocking Rayleigh’s cuff, Figo pushed Rayleigh into the cage as he had done with Roger.
The result was the same; at the “last moment,” Roger desperately “knocked” Figo “away.”
After several back-and-forths, the two were exhausted and disheveled. Roger finally realized Figo wasn’t someone he could defeat now, and he and Rayleigh jumped off the ship onto the small boat Rayleigh had rowed over, quickly rowing away!
Water splashed everywhere as the small boat moved like a speedboat. Figo “couldn’t stop them” and watched them leave.
“Uncle, I will defeat you!” Roger yelled, looking back at Figo standing by the ship’s edge, then quickly ducked and rowed even faster.
Figo stood silently, arms crossed.

Partly, he had considered recruiting Rayleigh into the Marines, but meeting him today, Figo knew it was unlikely. Rayleigh also yearned for the sea and freedom. Even if Figo forced him, he’d eventually become like Luffy or Ace under Garp’s tutelage.
On the other hand, Figo was here to “set a marker”! In the “escaped” status, no matter where they were, Figo could always find them!
