“Warden Figo!”
“Senior Figo!” Noticing that the shockwave from Figo and Kong’s clash had dissipated, the marines on the battleship emerged from the cabins, enthusiastically greeting him.
Figo waved back at each of them, “Long time no see. Thanks for your hard work again on this trip.”
“No problem at all.”
“As long as we can have some of Warden Figo’s roasted Sea King on the way back, it’s worth it!”
Roasted Sea King? Garp’s mouth watered, the image forming in his mind making him momentarily forget the awe from the clash between Figo and Kong.
Kong had no words for the marines’ enthusiasm towards Figo. Unlike his weariness, the marines benefited from chasing Figo.
The storms Figo created greatly trained the marines’ ability to handle extreme weather. Those who had been on his ship were later heavily relied upon, especially in the unpredictable weather of the New World. Marines from his ship were sought after by vice admirals.
Additionally, Figo’s roasted Sea King was unforgettable after just one meal.
After exchanging greetings, the marines returned to their posts and maneuvered the battleship towards Loguetown. Figo asked Garp, “Did you bring any donuts on the ship?”
Garp instantly became alert, “Ate them all!”
Figo chuckled and turned to Kong, “Anything major happen in the last four months?”
Seeing the special treatment Figo gave Garp, Kong nodded, his expression serious. “Rocks’ bounty has increased again, now over 2 billion. He just defeated the second of the New World’s Six Kings. The other four kings are on high alert, starting to move and ally together. A major showdown is likely not far off.”
“He’s quite capable,” Figo remarked.
The so-called Six Kings of the New World were the six strongest pirate crews that rose after the previous pirate kings, Zebrus and the Gluttonous King, were captured by Figo. The Gluttonous King’s crew disbanded due to old age.
They were like monkeys claiming the throne in the absence of tigers. These Six Kings were probably at SSR2 or SSR3 levels, which a single admiral could easily suppress, even handling two at once.
But they were tricky to capture.
The Six Kings subtly supported each other, maintaining balance in the New World for over a decade.
But three years ago, the Rocks Pirates, rising in the New World, swiftly defeated one of the Six Kings, shaking the entire pirate world!
The fall of an old king naturally led to the rise of a new one. The remaining Five Kings acknowledged Rocks as the new king. But Rocks’ recent moves to crush another king indicated he wanted to be the sole ruler of the New World pirates!
And he had the strength to vie for that sole position.
As a transmigrator, Figo naturally knew about Rocks. The one who once led Big Mom, Kaido, Whitebeard, and Shiki was the sole king of an era. He was extremely brutal and infamous throughout the pirate world. He even threatened the World Government’s rule until Garp and Roger teamed up to finally take him down.
Figo had been keeping an eye on him.
Pirates like Roger and Rayleigh, more adventurers than criminals, contributed more to fighting evil pirates than the chaos they caused. Even though the anime mentioned Roger destroying a country’s army for his crew, Figo believed the country wasn’t innocent, referencing Luffy’s Enies Lobby arc.
In Figo’s view, many countries in the pirate world shouldn’t exist.
And at least for now, their crime index didn’t warrant capture. So Figo chose to set a marker on them and let them venture out… they couldn’t overturn the world.
But for the notorious Rocks, Figo had considered capturing him early.
However, unexpected situations arose.
He discovered two things when he first learned about the Rocks Pirates over a decade ago.
First, Rocks was once one of the children adopted by Blue Sapphire.
Second, the Rocks Pirates were incredibly united and righteous. They protected lands from pirate invasions and struck the slave trade with thunderous means, making the World Government detest them!
‘Why did such changes occur?’
If Kong and the big pirates in Impel Down’s files had not confirmed it, Figo would not have believed it. His curiosity had built up for years, and now he planned to see it with his own eyes in the New World!
“Since he can defeat two, the remaining four allying won’t help much. Looks like the pirate world will birth a true king again.” Figo mused, then asked Kong, “Any reaction from the World Government? Rocks Pirates destroyed many underground slave markets; some must loathe them.”
Kong nodded, “Indeed. Chacamos has been leading a team in the New World searching for them. But the Rocks Pirates don’t stay in one place, and the World Government’s intelligence agencies can’t devote too much to finding him… I heard CP0 lost someone recently.”
“Lost someone? How?” Figo showed great interest.
Kong sighed, “Lost as in wandered off. I just heard it. CP0 found a child with the potential to become the strongest CP0 ever. At ten years old, she already had near-admiral-level strength, highly valued by the World Government.”
Figo laughed, “Says who? Kong, you didn’t beat her up? Are they looking down on you?!”
A ten-year-old near admiral, even fantasy novels wouldn’t go that far, treating admirals like nothing.
Kong shook his head, “I can’t believe it either, but that’s the report from the government. Supposedly, on her first mission or training, she got lost near Maruti Island in the New World. The government suspects pirates lured her away due to her naivety. Yes, it’s a girl named Charlotte Linlin.”
Figo: “…”
His expression turned strange. If it was this name, having near-admiral strength at ten wasn’t entirely impossible?

How did she become CP0?
Oh, right, I captured the nun. She died of old age in Impel Down.
Maybe she aged fast from hunger.

‘She seemed a simple and cute child. Whether she became CP0 or a pirate is a pity.’
As Figo pondered, he suddenly said to Kong:
“I won’t go ashore with you. Keep an eye on the slaves I rescued and the seized slaver ship. Don’t come after me; you won’t catch me. If Raoul asks, tell him everything, including where you suspect I’m heading, tell him and the World Government.”
Kong was stunned, watching Figo jump into the water and speed away on the surface.
Beside him, Garp was dumbfounded, and the marines who saw this scene asked in surprise, “Admiral Kong, why did Warden Figo run off again?”
Yes, ran off again… Kong watched Figo’s receding figure, his expression growing solemn.
For 25 years, Figo and the World Government maintained a tacit understanding. Though Figo should have been “imprisoned,” he would escape Impel Down once or twice a year, but after finishing his business and being caught, he’d return, so the government tolerated it as his annual leave.
In 25 years, there had never been a precedent of Figo escaping again after being caught!

Kong thought gravely, “The world’s strongest, missing for 25 years, is finally returning to the spotlight?”
“The world… is about to be shaken!”
