The scene was a wasteland. Most buildings on the grand Whole Cake Island were destroyed, including part of the enormous Whole Cake Chateau. Fortunately, the damage was only partial, but given its importance, the residents were deeply disheartened.
The culprit behind all this was believed to be Mihawk.

That bastard Mihawk had written a book, causing Big Mom (as the residents called her) to go on a rampage due to her craving fits, demanding to eat Mihawk. Since he wasn’t there, Whole Cake Island suffered.

A giant figure lay among the ruins. This huge figure, believed to be a giant, was even more powerful and terrifying.
She was one of the Four Emperors, Big Mom, the queen of Totto Land.
She had once had a child with Kaido, another Emperor, named Charlotte Kakei. Unfortunately, the child, who inherited the parents’ formidable strength, drowned during a battle and died.
A tragic story.
Big Mom and Kaido had a child because Kaido begged Big Mom to help him escape his perpetual singlehood. After Kaido knelt and begged like a groveling dog, Big Mom agreed. They fell in love but didn’t take precautions, resulting in the birth of Charlotte Kakei during their time with the Rocks Pirates.
Kaido owed Big Mom a lifelong debt for this.
Of course, this was a story from one of Hals’ novels. Hals’ exquisite writing made readers feel as if they were there, experiencing the tragedy.
Wait, something’s off with the tone here.
Ahem, that’s also why Big Mom was always angry.
The descriptions were explicit, praising Kaido and Big Mom’s stamina.
In Totto Land, Hals’ book had become a banned item, impossible to trade even on the black market. To get a copy, one had to go outside Totto Land and smuggle it in, reading it in secret.
In Wano, Kaido and the Beasts Pirates, known as a wild zoo, were clueless. When someone foolishly asked Jack the Drought about it, Jack cut them down immediately.
Since then, no one dared mention it.
Kaido now hunted Mihawk for a fight, but either couldn’t find him or couldn’t win.
Kaido had high offensive power and defense, but Mihawk was agile and had higher offensive power than Kaido’s defense.

Magellan reluctantly left Impel Down. Though it wasn’t permanent, and he wasn’t attached to his job, he feared the prisoners might escape, especially after one already escaped and cut off his legs.
But orders were orders, and Magellan had no choice.
Forget it, it’s paid vacation. Time to enjoy.
For Hals, the system update still needed a few hours, but he wasn’t concerned. It would be over soon.
The ship was ready, and Hals packed up. The vegetable garden, unfortunately, would be unattended.
