Marvel Rise of Lord God Chapter 67

The Mysteriously Missing Scientists

At Tony’s home, the ninja and Rambo were receiving comprehensive treatment. Thanks to Tony’s impeccable reputation, Anna and Annie felt comfortable leaving their battle-worn companions in his care.

In a private room, Tony took the opportunity to ask a question he had been curious about. “Ladies, if you don’t mind me asking, when did you first enter the Main God Space?”

Anna and Annie exchanged glances before Anna replied slowly, “Less than a month ago? With two missions in such a short period, our sense of time has become a bit skewed.”

“Two missions?” Tony was surprised. The number of missions these two had completed was the same as his. Could it be that his recent focus on designing and building his factory had taken more time than he realized?

“Yes, the Main God Space has indeed brought significant changes to us, but the mission intervals are extremely tight,” Anna sighed. The interval between their two missions was less than a week, leaving them constantly on edge with insufficient rest.

“Ha, you’ll get used to it,” Tony laughed awkwardly. He felt like sharing his own experience might get him into trouble, as his last mission in the Naruto world had been almost two months ago.

“We came here not just for the urgent mission but also to establish contact with you,” Anna continued.

“Contact me?”

“Yes, Tony. Given that you revealed your identity to the public, you must be a seasoned participant in many missions,” Anna said with a hint of admiration in her eyes.

“Indeed, we even looked into some of Stark Industries’ products, especially that new missile. It’s from Umbrella Corporation, right?” Annie asked curiously.

“How could you say that?! It’s my intellectual creation!” Tony jumped up from his chair, feeling insulted by Annie’s remark.

“Don’t say such things, even if they’re true,” Anna scolded her sister playfully.

“Oh, sorry about that,” Annie apologized with a smile.

“You… I… whatever, think what you want,” Tony replied, feeling a bit exasperated. This was the first time he had been caught off guard like this.

“Don’t be mad. She just doesn’t think before she speaks,” Anna said cheerfully, moving closer to Tony.

“Stop! Let’s get to the point. What exactly do you want?” Tony asked, stepping back a bit.

“We want to know if you have any information about other mission worlds that you could share with us,” Anna said. “And we were hoping to buy some suits of armor from you. We don’t have much money, but could we use points for the purchase?”

“Of course, I only accept points,” Tony replied seriously, pleased to earn more points for future purchases.

“What about information on the worlds? Could you give us a discount?” Anna’s eyes sparkled, hoping to negotiate.

Tony felt a bit helpless, knowing he couldn’t really help in that regard. However, admitting that upfront didn’t serve his interests.

“How about this? You tell me about the worlds you’ve experienced, and we can exchange information,” Tony suggested, sipping his drink.

“That makes sense,” Anna agreed, signaling to her sister. Despite their innocent appearance, they clearly knew how to negotiate.

While Tony and the sisters were having a productive conversation, chaos erupted at Oscorp in New York. Norman Osborn was furious.

“I was gone for just a few days, and you’re telling me several of our scientists have disappeared?” Norman roared at his assistant.

The assistant was terrified but had to relay the information.

“Yes, according to our records, four scientists have gone missing. Three are members of the newly formed Gamma Particle Research Group, and one is biologist Dr. Connors,” the assistant explained, clutching the report.

With a loud crash, Norman threw his cup against the wall, his rage palpable. The disappearance of these scientists was a serious blow.

“Any leads so far?” Norman asked after a long pause to calm himself.

“None yet. Both the police and our security have reviewed the footage. The scientists left the building on their own without any external interaction,” the assistant reported.

This incident caused panic within the company. Many researchers halted their work, fearing for their safety, and retreated to their homes.

“Send the surveillance footage to my computer. I’ll review it myself!” Norman demanded.

“Yes, sir.”

The assistant carefully left Norman’s office, relieved to escape further wrath. Norman’s temper had been volatile lately, but at least he hadn’t been fired on the spot.

Harry Osborn, standing outside, intercepted the assistant.

“How’s my father?” Harry asked quietly, having heard his father’s angry shouts from outside.

“It’s just some company issues. There’s nothing to worry about,” the assistant reassured Harry. Norman preferred to shield Harry from the company’s problems.

“Alright, I’ll go check on him,” Harry said, nodding.

Entering the office, Harry found Norman at his computer, engrossed in something.

“Dad, you called for me?” Harry asked.

“Harry, come, sit down,” Norman said, smiling as soon as he saw his son.

Harry sat down, puzzled by his sudden summons from school.

“How’s school been?”

“Good. Dad, what did you call me here for?” Harry asked impatiently.

Norman ignored his son’s impatience, understanding it as typical teenage behavior. He pulled a box from his drawer and placed it on the desk.

“What’s this?” Harry asked, curious about the futuristic-looking box.

“Inside are some special treatments. Take one every day after lunch. The lock can be opened with your fingerprint,” Norman explained.

“Medicine? Shouldn’t you at least tell me what’s in it?” Harry asked, confused by his father’s request.

Harry wasn’t opposed to taking medicine; after all, he had spent his life surrounded by various treatments. Yet, despite becoming a walking pharmacy, his health remained poor.
