Vir noticed that both sides were planning to team up against him, but he didn’t feel any tension. He simply told Bepo to fly up again or find some weak pirates to practice on.
Bepo flew into the sky, seemingly disinterested in fighting and unconcerned for Vir’s safety.
“You guys, what kind of freaks are you? The World Government teaming up with pirates? Hey, big-chested tomboy, I’ll give you a chance. Leave now, and I’ll pretend you don’t exist,” Vir said, initially not intending to fight Charlotte Lounie since he had a good first impression of her.
But Vir was a bit naive.
“Why can’t the World Government work with pirates? As long as you’re strong, you’re justice. I’ll give you a chance too. Leave now, and I’ll pretend you weren’t here,” Charlotte Lounie replied, also not wanting to fight Vir, given she didn’t know his strength.
Apollo Burnal, seeing the two sides were considering peace and noticing Vir’s persistent interest in the Sea Prism Stone, attacked directly.
Covering his metal gauntlets with Armament Haki, Apollo Burnal charged at Vir at full speed.
Vir saw Apollo Burnal rushing at him and thought even less of him.
Without further words, Vir drew “Intent Blood.”
It had been a while since he had a good fight, and he wondered if these guys were up to the task.
As Apollo Burnal charged, Charlotte Lounie didn’t join him in attacking Vir. She planned to observe first.
With black Haki and silver-blue lightning covering his dual swords, “Intent Blood” looked even more menacing. Already a demon sword, “Intent Blood,” enhanced by Vir’s lightning and Haki, was nearly indestructible.
When Apollo Burnal’s Haki-covered fist swung at Vir, Vir found him too slow and was disappointed by his weakness.
To Vir, the fist seemed to move in slow motion. His super-fast reflexes gave him non-human reaction speed.
With a single slash, Vir cut Apollo Burnal’s arm, despite it being covered in Haki, indicating Burnal’s Haki was inadequate.
Amidst Burnal’s screams, his arm flew off, landing a distance away. Strangely, no blood flowed, as “Intent Blood” had absorbed it.
Apollo Burnal retreated faster than he had attacked, his face covered in cold sweat, realizing he had kicked an iron wall. The earlier slash had been too fast for him to see, followed by excruciating pain and the loss of his arm.
Seeing Burnal retreating, Vir shook his head and cursed him as trash, a typical sheltered flower. Good at bullying the weak, but he lost his will to fight against strong enemies.
Using “Flash,” Vir closed the distance and, in Burnal’s terrified gaze, cut him into pieces.
Everyone on the island gasped. How could this be? How was he this strong? Various factions, shocked by Vir’s brutality and strength, began to retreat slowly.
Charlotte Lounie felt terrible. She had received orders from Big Mom to come to the first half of the Grand Line and seize a large batch of Sea Prism Stones to counter Kaido’s artificial Zoan army. Even if they couldn’t fight, they could deter them. Otherwise, Kaido’s Zoan army would devastate their mid- and lower-level combatants if they were enemies.
Charlotte Lounie, tasked by Big Mom, was confident in her mission. Though her strength was only mid-to-high in the Big Mom Pirates, she was considered top-tier in the first half of the Grand Line. At eighteen, she had much room to grow, wanting to prove to Big Mom she was as good as her siblings.
But now, she faced an unprecedented crisis, encountering a very dangerous enemy—a murderous swordsman.
Swordsmen inherently had strong offensive capabilities, requiring caution from their enemies. Though not as versatile as Devil Fruit users, a single mistake could result in severe injuries, especially from a killer swordsman.
Seeing Vir’s maniacal smile and excitement, Lounie knew negotiation was impossible. It was a fight to the death, though her chances of survival seemed slim.
But to her surprise, Vir didn’t attack her directly.
Vir found the tense tomboy amusing and decided to clear the area first before dealing with her.
“Let’s test the new ability,” he said, channeling lightning into his dual swords.
Once the lightning was transferred, Vir threw the swords, activating the “Wheel of Blood.”
Seeing the high-speed flying sword wheels, everyone on the island felt uneasy and started fleeing toward the docks, hoping to escape by sea.
Unfortunately, they had no chance. The first victim, a pirate, was sliced in half by the “Wheel of Blood,” running a few steps before collapsing.
Whether pirates, merchants, nobles, or Marines, everyone was terrified, fleeing even faster.
But their deaths were inevitable. One by one, they were shredded by the “Wheel of Blood.”
In less than two minutes, the island was littered with dismembered bodies, though there was little blood, as “Intent Blood” greedily absorbed it.
More than half the people on the island were dead. Those who tried to break through found the sword wheels too fast to reach their ships.
The massacre continued. Some, knowing they would die, charged at Vir, hoping to stop the “Wheel of Blood.”
But Vir, though unable to move quickly while using the technique, could still move. The brave ones quickly became martyrs, dying gruesomely near him.
Seeing this, others sat down to await their fate, while some knelt, begging for mercy.
“Sir, spare me. I have money—three billion Berries on my ship. It’s all yours if you let me live.”
“I have a Devil Fruit on my ship. I’ll give it to you. Just spare me, please.”
“I can’t die. I can’t die. Little Lisa is waiting for me. I can’t die here. Someone help us, stop this demon.”
Under Vir’s “Wheel of Blood,” all forces on the island crumbled.
