One Piece: I Can Simplify Skills Chapter 65

Trouble

Chapter 65: Trouble? Red-Leg Zeff

“I’m here to eat. Aren’t you going inside to eat as well?” Rokujin asked.

“No, our captain smashed someone’s ship. We’re too embarrassed to go in,” Nami explained helplessly.

“Come on, let’s go in together. My treat!” Rokujin offered.

“Ah! Thank you, Brother Rokujin!” Nami’s eyes lit up. She wasn’t really embarrassed; she just didn’t want to pay. With someone else treating, she was definitely going in.

So, Nami called Zoro, Usopp, and Zoro’s two followers to enter Baratie together.

… Meanwhile, in the dining hall, a lavishly dressed man in a suit was dining with a woman in a red dress. The man was Hobodi, an Ensign from the Navy Headquarters. His status quickly made him the center of attention in the restaurant.

“Look! It’s Ensign Hobodi from Navy Headquarters!”

“It really is Ensign Hobodi!”

“Wow, I didn’t expect to see him here. He’s so handsome!”

The blonde woman pouted slightly, praising, “You’re amazing. Everyone’s looking at you!”

“It’s your beauty that’s drawing them,” Hobodi responded, raising his glass to toast with the blonde woman, a smug smile on his lips.

But the restaurant’s chatter abruptly stopped the next second. Some people even stood up, staring dumbfounded at the entrance.

“Huh?” Hobodi frowned, turning to see a man entering with the pirates they had encountered earlier. When he recognized the Navy uniform on the man, he froze, quickly standing up to salute, “Rear Admiral Rokujin!”

“Hmm, and you are?” Rokujin nodded, asking in return.

“I’m Hobodi from Navy Headquarters!” Nobody replied.

“Sit down. I’m just here to eat,” Rokujin said, patting his shoulder.

“Yes, Rear Admiral!” Hobodi sat down, now perfectly straight and proper. With a Rear Admiral present, he dared not act out.

Meanwhile, the other diners were already buzzing.

“It really is Rear Admiral Rokujin, the new appointee to East Blue!”

“Yeah, even Hobodi saluted him. It must be true.”

“Rear Admiral Rokujin is so handsome, young, and dashing!”

Rokujin remained composed, leading Nami and the others to a table. “Sit wherever you like. Order whatever you want. It’s on me!”

“Thanks!” Zoro and Usopp were the first to sit down.

As Rokujin took his seat, Nami and Ain quickly occupied the seats on either side of him.

“Hehe!” Rokujin could only smile awkwardly and waved to the waiter. “Waiter, we’re ready to order!”

“Coming!” A waiter was about to approach but was quickly intercepted by a man with curly eyebrows and blonde hair wearing a black jacket.

“Ladies, what would you like to order? I can make anything you desire!” The blonde man focused solely on Ain and Nami, ignoring everyone else.

Seeing this, the waiter quickly stepped forward, pulling his hand and whispering, “Hey! Sanji, look closely. Those two are sitting next to a Rear Admiral. Are you looking for trouble?”

“What’s the big deal?” Sanji didn’t care and asked again, “Ladies, what would you like to order? I can give you a 50% discount!”

“No need for a discount. I can afford it. Bring us one of everything on the menu!” Rokujin said, pulling out a large black box from behind him. The box was filled with a million Beli, taken from his system inventory as a backup.

“So much money…” Nami’s eyes sparkled at the sight of the money. Although Rokujin defeated Arlong, Nami still had a particular fondness for money.

Sanji frowned, asking, “Can you finish all that? We don’t allow wastage here.”

“Don’t worry about that,” Rokujin replied. “And just so you know, these ladies aren’t interested in you. You can leave now.”

“If you bother us again, don’t blame me for being rude!” Rokujin’s eyes turned cold as he released a faint wave of Conqueror’s Haki. The pressure washed over Sanji, making him feel a chill and break into a cold sweat as if death were imminent.

“Okay…” Sanji quickly retreated, fear evident in his eyes, and left the dining hall. Back in the kitchen, he was panting heavily, still shaken by the feeling of near death.

A waiter beside him sighed, “Sanji, I warned you, but you wouldn’t listen!”

“Yeah…” Sanji nodded, finally understanding what he meant. That man’s strength was terrifying! He never wanted to experience that feeling again.

Meanwhile, in the hall:

“Thank you, Brother Rokujin!”

“Thanks, Rokujin!” Nami and Ain expressed their gratitude.

“It’s nothing. Just don’t disturb our meal,” Rokujin said. He didn’t care if Sanji would eventually join Luffy’s crew; that wasn’t his concern.

Offending him didn’t matter; it wasn’t a big deal! Couldn’t he see that Ain and Nami weren’t interested in him? Soon, the dishes began to arrive one after another. At first, everyone ate quickly, but once they were full, the table could no longer hold all the dishes. A waiter came over and asked, “Guests, do you still want more dishes?”

“Yes, keep bringing them. Just pile them up on the table; someone will eat them,” Rokujin said with a smile.

“Alright…” Hearing this, the waiter reluctantly returned to the kitchen to continue bringing out the food.

At this moment, a man wearing a red vest and a straw hat impatiently came down from the second floor, muttering something under his breath.

“Luffy…” Naomi was about to speak when Rokujin interrupted, “Luffy!”

“Brother Rokujin?” Luffy’s eyes widened. He quickly walked over and asked in surprise, “What are you doing here? You’re not here to catch me, are you?” He still remembered Rokujin’s joke from before.

“No, I’m just here to eat. Hungry? Have some food!”

“Sure, thanks, Brother Rokujin!” With that, Luffy began devouring the food on the table. Moments later, all the dishes had disappeared into Luffy’s stomach, and he patted his full belly, letting out a satisfied burp.

“Burp… That was great. I was starving!”

Just then, an old man with golden nose hairs tied into two braids came out angrily and scolded, “Kid! I brought you here to work, not to slack off!” As he spoke, he raised a frying pan to hit Luffy.

Suddenly, a hand stopped the frying pan.

“Boss, whatever my brother did, I apologize. If there’s an issue, speak to me,” Rokujin said calmly, lightly flicking his finger to disarm the old man.
