Rokujin’s energy points had reached a staggering total of over 100. After contemplating for a moment, he used 80 energy points to raise his Devil Fruit development skill to C level, one step closer to B level.
Reflecting on the recent events, Rokujin realized that Dragon hadn’t used his full strength. If they had both fought at full power, innocent people nearby would have been caught in the crossfire, and it seemed Dragon wanted to avoid that. Otherwise, Rokujin might not have been able to match Dragon.
After handling matters in Loguetown, Rokujin set off alone for the Grand Line. His destination was the Alabasta Kingdom. Traveling alone, he was much faster than Luffy and his crew, who would inevitably meet Princess Vivi along the way. Rokujin’s only objective was to defeat Crocodile. Although Luffy would eventually defeat Crocodile, it didn’t mean that Crocodile was weak. He estimated Crocodile’s strength to be at least S level! This journey was a good opportunity to strengthen himself until he could defeat Crocodile personally.

Several days later, Rokujin entered the first half of the Grand Line and arrived in the territory of the Alabasta Kingdom. Suddenly, the system notification sounded.

Sailing alone on a small boat, Rokujin noticed the silhouette of an island gradually appearing ahead. He took out a map and compared it to his surroundings. “That must be Little Garden,” he said to himself.

Glancing at the two missions, Rokujin decided to head towards Little Garden. The system’s rewards were a great way to boost his strength. It was interesting that the system didn’t want him to kill Mr. 3, likely because Mr. 3 would later play a role in saving Ace. The system seemed to want to change the original timeline to prevent Ace’s death.

A few minutes later, Rokujin landed in Little Garden. The entire island was lush and green, with trees much denser than those on ordinary islands. Strange noises occasionally emanated from the forest.
“Squawk!” Suddenly, a green monster bird darted out from the dense forest, extending its sharp claws toward Rokujin.
“Looking for death? Perfect timing. I was getting hungry. I’ll roast you!” Rokujin smirked, his eyes narrowing. An invisible wave of Conqueror’s Haki surged towards the diving bird. Instantly, the bird’s eyes rolled back, and it plummeted to the ground.
“Boom!” The bird hit the ground hard, creating a large crater. Rokujin walked over to the bird and drew his sword, Zhan Tian, from his system backpack. He kicked the bird into the air and then swiftly slashed it multiple times.
“Swish, swish, swish…” The sword glinted as Rokujin moved. When he sheathed Zhan Tian, the bird’s body fell to the ground, its head, innards, and feathers neatly removed, leaving only the edible parts. The crater it created became a fire pit for roasting.
Gathering some dry wood nearby, Rokujin used his Rumble-Rumble Fruit to ignite a fire and began roasting the bird. As the bird’s leg roasted over the flames, fat dripped onto the fire, creating sizzling sounds and a tantalizing aroma.
“Smells great!” Rokujin took a deep breath, appreciating the aroma. His B-level cooking skills ensured his roast was better than the average person’s, and he carried many seasonings with him—essentials for travel!
A few minutes later, the roast was done. Rokujin cut off a few slices with his sword and started eating. Each slice was juicy and tender, with the perfect amount of fat.
“Boom, boom, boom…” Suddenly, the ground started to tremble slightly, and the tremors grew stronger, indicating that something massive was approaching. Rokujin turned towards the source of the tremors and saw a giant warrior clad in armor, wearing a helmet, holding a huge battle-axe in his right hand and a round shield in his left, with a beard and a broad smile.

Brogy crouched down, his eyes fixed on the roast meat, smiling broadly, “Hello, your roast smells amazing. Could you share some with me?” He was practically drooling, and a single drop of his saliva could probably drown a person!
“Thank you!” Brogy said gratefully, grabbing the roast and starting to eat it. Despite being huge, it seemed normal-sized in Brogy’s hands.
Rokujin, meanwhile, pondered how to resolve the conflict between Brogy and Dorry. Their initial dispute started over who killed the larger Sea King. If he couldn’t think of a solution now, he would put it aside for later.
After a while, Brogy finished the roast, wiping his mouth. “Friend, thank you for the treat. I’m Brogy, the strongest warrior from Elbaf!”
“Just call me Rokujin,” he said.
“Alright, Rokujin! It’s a shame I drank all my treasured wine. Otherwise, we could have shared a drink!” Brogy lamented.
“No worries, I’ll find some. We can drink together then!”
“Hahaha, good!” Brogy was thrilled at the prospect of drinking. Suddenly, a loud crash echoed in the distance.
“Boom!” Brogy glanced at the sound and stood up to leave. “Rokujin, we’ll drink next time. I have a battle to fight!”
“Alright!” Rokujin nodded slightly as he watched Brogy runoff. He knew Brogy was going to duel with Dorry again. These two had been fighting for a century and were still so diligent. Did the Giants have some warrior genes?
Soon, the sounds of their intense battle echoed from afar, shaking the entire island. Rokujin glanced in their direction but didn’t intervene. Instead, he continued deeper into the island. “Let’s deal with those nuisances first,” he said, then swiftly moved through the forest as if searching for something.

Elsewhere in Little Garden, a white building stood out in the forest. Inside, a man with blue-framed glasses, wearing a blue-striped outfit and hair styled into the shape of a “3,” was leisurely drinking coffee. Beside him was a young girl munching on rice crackers. They were Mr. 3 and Miss Goldenweek of Baroque Works.
Suddenly, a man’s voice came from outside. “So, this is where you’ve been hiding!”
