“You’re asking for death.”
“Blood Demon Art: Flying Blood Scythes.”
Seeing Tang An handle Daki so lightly, Gyutaro flew into a rage. Holding his blood scythes, he swung them at Tang An, sending two razor-sharp, toxic blood slashes flying toward him.
“Crack…”
Holding Daki’s head in his left hand, Tang An surrounded himself with golden lightning, which appeared behind Gyutaro in a flash. His right foot hardened and glowed red-hot, radiating intense heat.
Gyutaro, with his heightened senses, immediately activated his Blood Demon Art upon feeling Tang An behind him.
“Raging Cyclone.”
The blood scythes spun around him, forming a shield that met Tang An’s fiery kick head-on. Bones cracking echoed as Gyutaro’s body bent backward into a C-shape. Blood sprayed from his mouth as he was sent flying through the entire Kyogoku House, crashing onto the street outside, leaving a trail of destruction and causing countless screams.
“Is it a Pillar?” Gyutaro wondered, looking at Tang An walking through the wreckage. His eyes were filled with malice.
His blood scythes had been damaged. That kick was like a volcanic eruption—mighty and scorching hot.
This high temperature was concerning. If it were high enough, it could damage a demon’s cells, preventing regeneration and threatening their life. The stronger the demon, the higher the temperature it could withstand.
“Blood Demon Art: Circular Slicing Blades.”
Gyutaro didn’t wait idly but launched another attack. His blood scythes flew toward Tang An, cutting down screaming humans along the way. The street became a horror scene in moments, with people fleeing in panic.
After slaying several humans, the blood-stained scythes seemed to gain a deadly boost, flying at Tang An with increased ferocity. Tang An wielded his dog-leg knife, now surrounded by golden lightning and glowing red. He swung at the incoming scythes, creating a storm that tore up the street and sent debris flying toward the fleeing crowd, turning the scene into a living hell.
Tang An performed a backflip and landed, while the blood scythes returned to Gyutaro’s hands with significant damage.
“Not bad,” Tang An muttered, his eyes narrowing. He bent forward, golden lightning crackling around him as winds swirled, sending debris flying.
“Instant Kill!”
Tang An moved like natural lightning, crossing eight meters to appear behind Gyutaro. The latter held his scythes defensively, but blood sprayed into the air as Gyutaro was split in half at the waist, unable to react in time.
“Blood Demon Art: Dawn’s Return.”
Despite being halved, Gyutaro launched a desperate attack. A circular blood slash spread out, cutting everything within fifty meters in half, leaving nothing but ruins.
“Damn it,” Gyutaro cursed, looking at Tang An floating in the air. The man had evaded his attack perfectly, even from close range, moving as swiftly as lightning.
“Meteor Strike.”
Tang An’s entire body hardened, becoming crystalline. His right foot turned red, igniting flames and leaving a trail like a shooting star. The ground exploded as a shockwave spread, lifting debris and creating a mushroom cloud. The entire Flower Street was reduced to rubble.
Amidst the carnage, with dismembered limbs and organs strewn everywhere, Tang An pulled Gyutaro’s twisted head from a crater. His body parts were scattered far and wide.
“A bit disappointing. Higher-ranked demons are much stronger,” Tang An said, holding the siblings’ heads. The fight had not been as thrilling as his battle with Akaza.
“How could you lose?” Daki screamed at Gyutaro, blaming him entirely.
“If I hadn’t shared my power and been distracted protecting you, I wouldn’t have lost,” Gyutaro retorted.
“But I don’t want to die, brother,” Daki sobbed, tears streaming down her face, pitiful and sad.
Gyutaro remained silent.
“It’s all your fault!” Daki cried, her weeping echoing around them.
“Can you both respect me? I’m still here!” Tang An’s expression darkened under his mask, finding Daki’s behavior baffling.
“Can you let us go?” Daki sniffled, looking at Tang An with teary eyes.
“Although I love you, I can’t,” Tang An replied hesitantly. Despite Daki’s pitiful appearance tugging at his heartstrings, he couldn’t relent.
“Waah, waah… pervert, it’s all your fault,” Daki said, turning to cry and blaming Gyutaro again.
“Thump…”
Tang An drew his Nichirin blade, activating his Breath of Thunder, turning it crimson and hot, skewering the siblings’ heads together. The rising temperature destroyed their cells, preventing regeneration. Within a minute, they turned to ash and disappeared.
Tang An sheathed his blade, surveying the destroyed Flower Street, and decided to find somewhere to relax. Though the fight hadn’t pressured him much, it had drained some of his energy.
As he prepared to leave, he was stopped by three figures landing in front of him from the rooftops. Their expressions were varied, but all were tense.
Tang An frowned, looking directly at the one in the center without blinking.
“Tang An,” Mitsuri called, wearing her revealing Demon Slayer uniform, her long legs clad in thigh-high socks. Her light green eyes were fixed on Tang An while Shinobu and Tengen placed their hands on their Nichirin blades, ready for combat.
“Please step aside, you have the wrong person,” Tang An coughed, his voice hoarse as if he was speaking while clutching his throat.
“I haven’t mistaken you. You are Tang An!” Mitsuri said, biting her lip. Her pretty face was full of sadness and uncertainty. “Did you kill Sanemi, Kyojuro, and Tanjiro?”
Mitsuri still held onto hope, her big eyes shimmering with expectation.
“Yes,” Tang An admitted, spreading his hands. He wasn’t going to hide anymore.
“Butterfly Dance: Caprice,” “Sound Breathing: First Form – Roar.”
As soon as Tang An finished speaking, Shinobu and Tengen attacked, their faces filled with rage and killing intent.
Tang An met their attacks with his Nichirin blade and dog-leg knife, his feet sinking into the ground. He stared back at their furious eyes, devoid of emotion.
