Kumogakure had long since gathered detailed intelligence on Konoha’s top ninjas.
To Yugito Nii, there were probably fewer than five people in Konoha capable of leading such a behind-enemy-lines assault, excluding the defected Orochimaru and the deceased Fourth Hokage and his wife. Hence, she suspected either the Uchiha clan leader or the Third Hokage.
A Kumogakure ninja hurriedly entered the command tent and reported, “The village has just sent the latest information!”
Upon reading the message, Killer Bee, Yugito Nii, and Aida were quite surprised.
It turned out that the other three secret warehouses that were attacked suffered no losses and annihilated the attacking Konoha Anbu, even capturing one of them alive.
After a genjutsu interrogation, the captured Konoha Anbu revealed everything he knew.
Konoha’s Anbu Team 11 appeared on Kumogakure’s radar for the first time.
“A four-person Anbu team from Konoha killed over 300 of our ninjas?” Yugito Nii paused and added, “Could Lord Raikage have made a mistake?”
Killer Bee and Aida also looked astonished.
Only Killer Bee and Yugito Nii, the two perfect jinchuriki, could achieve such a feat among the Kumogakure command. Even Aida, the deputy commander, needed to gain such prowess.
It wasn’t that Aida was weak, but his chakra reserves were insufficient.
No normal ninja could have such an abundance of chakra to annihilate nearly a hundred times their number in one night.
“We must eliminate Konoha’s Anbu Team 11!”
All three of them simultaneously reached this conclusion.
After exchanging glances, Yugito Nii stood up and said, “I’ll go kill them!”

Amidst the chaos, Hyuga Kyo, wielding his Kusanagi sword, charged into the Kumogakure transport team.
The leading Kumogakure chunin immediately raised his kunai to confront him.

Seeing this, Hyuga Kyo’s lips curled up slightly.
He had lost count of how many Kumogakure ninjas had tried to block his Kusanagi sword with an ordinary kunai.

With a crisp sound, the Kumogakure chunin and his kunai were swiftly sliced in half by the Kusanagi sword!
With the chunin down, the remaining Kumogakure genin offered little resistance and were quickly cut down by Hyuga Kyo.
The last surviving genin, knowing his death was certain, resolutely detonated the explosive tags hidden in the transport cart, blowing himself and all the supplies sky-high.
Having escorted supplies several times during the Third Ninja War, Hyuga Kyo was familiar with such tactics and had already taken cover to avoid the explosion.
His goal wasn’t the supplies, so there was no need to risk his life.
After ensuring no survivors, he picked up the chunin’s broken kunai and stored it in his pouch.
Leaving the broken kunai on the battlefield would allow Kumogakure to deduce that Hyuga Kyo wielded a special sword, making future ambushes more difficult.

Suppressing her rage, Yugito Nii asked, “Any clues?”
The Jonin nodded, “Same as before. Our men were killed with a single strike. The opponent is still that short blade expert, with a style reminiscent of the legendary Konoha White Fang!”
Gritting her teeth, Yugito Nii snarled, “Chase him! He can’t have gone far!”
With Yugito Nii’s command, the Kumogakure ninjas immediately used their Body Flicker Technique, turning into afterimages as they spread out in pursuit.
Sensing the pursuit behind him, Hyuga Kyo smirked and created a shadow clone.
The clone and his original body split off in different directions.
Using the shadow clone to throw off the pursuers, Hyuga Kyo found a narrow aperture on a high cliff to hide in, a place that was both concealed and provided a good vantage point, ideal for a dojutsu user with exceptional perception.
Chewing on a ration pill, Hyuga Kyo re-poisoned his Kusanagi sword while contemplating his next move.
In the past week, he had attacked three Kumogakure transport teams. While he didn’t destroy many supplies or inflict heavy casualties, he caused significant trouble for Kumogakure, disrupting several supply routes and forcing them into constant vigilance.
With their rear lines unsettled, Kumogakure’s offensive in the Land of Fire had to slow down.
Kumogakure’s unusual behaviour quickly caught Konoha’s attention, and the other major ninja villages closely monitored the conflict. Everyone looked at the Land of Hot Water, sensing that it held the key to the Konoha-Kumogakure confrontation.
As Hyuga Kyo and his team became more active, Konoha’s Anbu Team 11 quickly became Kumogakure’s primary target. More and more Kumogakure elites joined the hunt for Team 11.
Initially, Hyuga Kyo was only pursued by a squad of jonins.
But now, Kumogakure had deployed Yugito Nii, the Two-Tails jinchuriki, along with over twenty jonin, a force equivalent to hunting down a Kage-level ninja.
Suddenly, he was momentarily distracted as Hyuga Kyo was reapplying poison to his Kusanagi sword.
His shadow clone had just disappeared. This wasn’t unusual since the clone was a decoy, but what surprised him was that the clone had been instantly killed without transmitting much memory back.
In other words, the clone was taken out in a single strike.
Even though Hyuga Kyo’s shadow clone technique wasn’t fully mastered and needed improvement, it still inherited half of his combat power and dojutsu ability. For the clone to be instantly killed indicated that the opponent was strong and incredibly fast—so fast that the clone couldn’t even react.
Leaning against the rock wall, Hyuga Kyo gazed in the direction where the clone had vanished and mused, “Who could be this strong?”
