Dragon Ball: I Will Become an Angel As a Saiyan Chapter 140

Raditz Heads to Earth, Grand Priest Arrives to Celebrate

Raditz Heads to Earth, Grand Priest Arrives to Celebrate (Part 1)

“That guy Ren said that your brother will become my lifelong rival,” Vegeta laughed, waving his hand and blasting the planet’s palace into ruins.

“That… Kakarot guy? Could he really be that strong? That doesn’t seem possible. My mother told me that when he was sent to Earth, his power level was only 2,” Raditz chuckled dryly.

“I’m curious what his power level would be now,” Vegeta replied with a smirk.

“Raditz, you better be careful. If his power level surpasses yours, it’s going to be a sad day for you!” Nappa teased.

Raditz fell silent.

If Kakarot’s power level really surpasses mine, it’s going to be tragic for me.

I need to be cautious.

“I’m almost at Earth!” Raditz said, a bit concerned, as he gazed at the planet, which had nearly lost its color. “Why does Earth look like that?”

“What do you mean?” Nappa asked, confused.

Raditz didn’t say more.

Whoosh!

Raditz’s spaceship tore through the atmosphere like a giant meteor, descending from the sky.

Boom!

His spaceship crashed onto the planet, leaving a massive crater.

Creak…

The door of the spaceship opened, and Raditz flew out.

But when he saw the eerie state of the planet, he froze.

Raditz quickly pressed the button on his scouter.

Upon scanning the area, he was utterly confused.

“What’s going on?” Raditz exclaimed.

“What happened? Raditz, did Kakarot’s power level surpass yours?” Nappa asked anxiously. “Tell me, what’s the highest power level on the planet?”

“There’s no Kakarot! No humans either! Not even animals! In fact, not a single blade of grass! It’s a dead planet!” Raditz responded.

“Not a single living thing?” Nappa was perplexed.

“No, not one. This is a dead world,” Raditz said as he flew up to survey the land.

“Wasn’t Kakarot sent to Earth?” Nappa wondered, confused.

Vegeta was equally puzzled.

Nappa turned to Vegeta for his opinion.

“Hmph, if we can’t find him, so be it. Maybe your brother died long ago,” Vegeta said indifferently. “It’s a shame though. I thought he’d be my lifelong rival, but he couldn’t even survive on this planet.”

“Hahaha, yeah! I know my brother best! He’s just a low-class warrior. How could he ever be a rival for Prince Vegeta?” Raditz laughed. He then flew off, wandering around the planet in search of something edible.

Not long after, Raditz landed in a ruined supermarket and found some canned food.

He opened a can and tasted it, but immediately spat it out.

“This is disgusting! It seems expired!” Raditz checked the production date and analyzed it with his scouter.

After determining the date, Raditz was even more baffled.

“Prince Vegeta, something’s odd,” Raditz said, holding the can and looking at its production date. He grew more confused.

“What is it?” Vegeta asked.

“Based on this can’s production date, it was made 300 years ago. It’s gone bad, and it tastes worse than crap,” Raditz remarked.

“Hahaha, Raditz, have you eaten crap before?” Nappa burst into laughter.

Vegeta shot Nappa a furious glare.

Nappa quickly covered his mouth, mumbling, “I just wanted to lighten the mood…”

“300 years ago? So, Earth was destroyed 300 years ago?” Vegeta sneered. “Poor Kakarot. The so-called rival of my life probably starved to death on this planet.”

“Maybe that’s true… poor guy, dead already,” Raditz sighed. “So, Prince Vegeta, should I head back now? Damn, I wasted so much time, and the return trip will take a year!”

“No, go straight to the planet we agreed upon. It’ll take you six months, and it’ll take us the same,” Vegeta ordered.

“Raditz, you better slow down. The battle power on that planet isn’t low. If you die, there’ll be no one to clean up after us,” Nappa joked.

“Understood.” Raditz took off, preparing to return to his ship, but then noticed a huge vortex in the sky.

He stopped, staring at the swirling vortex.

“What is that? A vortex at least 100 meters wide!” Raditz said, puzzled, as he reported to his scouter.

“A vortex?” Vegeta was baffled. “If you’re curious, go check it out. Why ask me?”

“Alright, I’ll take a look,” Raditz nodded.

“You should probably use your spaceship. If you get sucked into space, you’re done for,” Nappa suggested.

“You’re right,” Raditz replied, boarding his spaceship.

Raditz flew towards the vortex, peeking out of the ship to get a better look.

But he saw nothing but the vortex itself.

Raditz: “…”

“Anything?” Nappa asked over the communication system.

“Nothing… just more vortex,” Raditz responded.

“Hmph, forget about that low-class warrior!” Vegeta snorted. “Hurry up and return. If nothing else, we’ll use the Saibamen to clean up.”

“Yes, Prince Vegeta,” Raditz acknowledged.

But just as Raditz was about to turn the ship around, the vortex suddenly released a massive suction force, pulling the spaceship inside.

Raditz was tossed around inside, nearly passing out.

In an instant, his spaceship was sucked into Universe 6’s Earth.

“What is this place? I see a strange world!” Raditz was in shock.

Meanwhile, Vegeta and Nappa exchanged glances.

Through their scouters, they noticed Raditz’s signal had vanished.

But somehow, his voice was still coming through, though it was faint and unclear.

“What’s he saying?” Nappa asked.

“Hmph, maybe he got sucked into that vortex,” Vegeta grunted.

“Where could it have taken him? A dead zone where even scouters can’t track?” Nappa wondered.

“If you don’t know, then why ask me?” Vegeta scoffed. “Too bad. We’ve lost another cleanup crew.”

“So… should we take over that planet ourselves?” Nappa asked. “Even with just the two of us, it shouldn’t be a problem.”

Vegeta didn’t object and casually destroyed a few more remaining aliens.

Universe 6, Earth.

Raditz’s spaceship hovered in the sky as he marveled at the beauty of the planet.

Compared to the other dead planet, this was paradise.

Then, Raditz noticed a human below.

Beside the human was a strange-looking turkey.

The man wore a straw hat and held a pitchfork, seemingly engaged in some odd work.

“What is this place? Let me ask,” Raditz said, landing his spaceship near the straw-hatted farmer.

The farmer was startled, eyes wide with shock as the spherical craft descended.

“What the heck is that?” the farmer muttered, quickly grabbing his shotgun and aiming it at the strange sphere.

Clank!

The spaceship door opened, and Raditz stepped out.

Seeing this bizarre figure, the farmer’s eyes grew even wider in disbelief.

“Who… who are you?” the farmer stammered, aiming his shotgun at Raditz.

Raditz pressed a button on his scouter to analyze the farmer’s power level.

“A power level of only 5? What a weakling,” Raditz laughed.

“Don’t… don’t come any closer!” The farmer’s face turned pale.

“Hey, where am I?” Raditz asked with a grin.

“This… this is Landos… Landos Village,” the farmer stammered.

“What’s the name of this planet?” Raditz’s expression darkened as he asked.

“Earth…” the farmer answered, his voice trembling. “Are… are you an alien?”

“Earth? You’re saying this is Earth? For real?” Raditz burst out laughing.

The farmer fell silent.

Raditz walked closer to him, step by step.

“Stop! If you come any closer, I’ll shoot!” the farmer shouted in panic.

Raditz ignored him.

Bang!

The gun fired.

Raditz Heads to Earth, Grand Priest Arrives to Celebrate (Part 2)

Raditz casually caught the bullet with his hand and flicked it with his thumb.

“Aaaah! Monster!” The farmer screamed, backing away in terror.

Bang!

Raditz flicked the bullet back, striking the farmer in the head and killing him instantly.

“Foolish creatures,” Raditz sneered and activated his communicator. “Hey, Prince Vegeta, Nappa, can you hear me? You won’t believe it, but Earth is a bizarre place!”

However, there was no response.

“Strange… where’s the signal? Vegeta and Nappa’s signals have disappeared,” Raditz frowned, pressing a few more buttons on his scouter.

Beep beep!

Suddenly, Raditz picked up a power level reading.

“A power level of 322? Could that be Kakarot?” Raditz grinned. “You sure hid well, but did you really think I wouldn’t find you on this hidden Earth? Only 322? You think you could ever rival Prince Vegeta with that?”

Raditz shook his head in disdain and took off, flying towards the location his scouter had pinpointed.

On a green highland.

Piccolo was training in this area.

Suddenly, he sensed a powerful energy rapidly approaching him.

Piccolo broke out in a cold sweat.

“Where is this immense power coming from? It’s heading straight for me… Could it be Goku?” Piccolo was startled, his heart racing.

Before long, Piccolo saw a man with long black hair flying toward him at high speed.

“That’s not Goku?” Piccolo’s pupils dilated.

Who could possess such immense energy if it wasn’t Goku?

Who is this guy?

Thud!

Raditz descended from the sky, landing directly in front of Piccolo.

“So, it’s not Kakarot,” Raditz said with disappointment. “It makes sense, though. There’s no way a Saiyan, even a low-class warrior, would have such low power levels.”

“Who are you? What do you want from me?” Piccolo glared at Raditz, his eyes burning with anger.

“Someone like you is of no use to me. I think I’ll just get rid of you,” Raditz casually declared, as if he had just issued Piccolo’s death sentence.

“Do you even know who you’re talking to? Are you looking to die?” Piccolo, despite being terrified, tried not to show weakness.

“You’re so arrogant. With a power level of only 322, you’re just a weakling. You’re not even close to being a match for me,” Raditz sneered.

“You… you bastard! Do you even know who I am? I’m the Demon King Piccolo!” Piccolo said, but immediately felt how hollow that title sounded.

Raditz stared at him, his eyes filled with mockery.

Piccolo broke out into a cold sweat, his entire body trembling.

“Ahhhhh!”

Piccolo screamed, trying to muster his courage.

Boom!

In the next moment, Piccolo launched a massive energy blast, engulfing Raditz in a burst of energy.

Dust and smoke filled the air.

But as the smoke cleared, Raditz stood there, completely unscathed.

“That was weak. All you managed to do was kick up some dust,” Raditz taunted with an even more contemptuous grin.

Piccolo turned pale, his face drenched in sweat, his skin growing greener.

“Now, it’s my turn. Let me show you my strength!” Raditz flexed his right hand as energy began to gather in his palm.

Piccolo, both horrified and trembling, felt his body shaking uncontrollably.

Beep, beep, beep!

At that moment, Raditz’s scouter picked up another power level reading.

“Another power level detected!” Raditz turned in the direction of the reading, then immediately took off into the sky.

Piccolo stood frozen for a moment.

“Wait! I think I could still put up a bit of a fight…” he thought to himself, stunned.

“There! Over 12,000 kilometers away,” Raditz muttered to himself. “This power level isn’t bad. It’s probably the highest on this planet, but it’s still not even 1,000. This has to be Kakarot.”

Whoosh!

Raditz flew off at high speed toward Goku’s location.

As he flew, Raditz once again tried to contact Vegeta and Nappa.

But there was still no signal.

Raditz found the situation strange.

But it didn’t matter.

Prince Vegeta, you were worried for no reason.

Kakarot’s power level is so low… Could he really become your lifelong rival?

I’ll finish him today.

Put your concerns to rest.

But wait, he’s my brother. Should I beat him to death?

Nah, it doesn’t matter. I’m a Saiyan.

Killing my own brother wouldn’t make me blink.

Master Roshi’s Island.

Bulma’s helicopter landed on the small island.

Bulma jumped out and walked to the door, pushing it open and greeting everyone inside.

“Oh… it’s Miss Bulma!” Master Roshi exclaimed in mild surprise.

“Miss Bulma!” Krillin smiled warmly.

“This is a rare visitor! It’s been a while!” Master Roshi quickly walked over, “You’re so cold. I’ve invited you to visit many times, and you never come.”

“Here’s a snack for you.” Bulma handed Master Roshi a box of snacks.

“How thoughtful of you,” Master Roshi said, scratching his head as he accepted the snacks.

As they chatted, Goku’s voice suddenly echoed from outside.

“Hey, is that Goku’s voice?” Krillin said excitedly.

Bulma turned toward the door, curious.

They all stepped outside, and there was Goku, standing on the island.

“Goku!” Krillin shouted with excitement, clearly overjoyed to see his old friend after so long.

Bulma smiled and waved, but then her attention shifted to the small child in Goku’s arms. Unable to contain her curiosity, she asked, “Who’s this child?”

“Goku, are you babysitting for someone?” Krillin inquired.

“He’s my son,” Goku grinned.

“Your son?!”

Master Roshi, Krillin, and Bulma all exclaimed in unison, each looking more surprised than the other.

“What’s so strange about it? Gohan, say hello to everyone,” Goku said, smiling warmly at his son.

“H-Hello, I’m Gohan… I’m 4 years old,” Gohan shyly greeted the three adults.

Bulma, Krillin, and Master Roshi quickly responded with polite “Hellos.”

“Gohan? Isn’t that the name of your late grandfather?” Master Roshi asked, slightly taken aback.

“Yes,” Goku nodded.

“You really surprised me. I can’t believe you have a son now…” Master Roshi said with a sigh, glancing at Krillin.

Krillin: “…”

Don’t look at me. I don’t even have a girlfriend yet.

“Krillin, you’re the only one left. Out of all my living students, you’re the only one without a child,” Master Roshi teased.

Krillin was speechless.

Why emphasize “living” students?

Oh yeah, Goku’s grandfather was one of your students.

Goku’s grandfather died, and he didn’t have any children either.

Goku was adopted.

“Hey? What’s that?” Bulma suddenly noticed the furry tail sticking out from behind Gohan.

“Yep, just like I had when I was little, right?” Goku laughed.

Bulma was instantly flooded with memories of her childhood.

That boy, Ren.

He was only a month or two older than me!

And then… he just vanished…

Raditz Heads to Earth, Grand Priest Arrives to Celebrate (Part 3)

I heard from Whis that he’s becoming a god… transforming into a true angel.

At least 24 years!

I’m already 29 this year, and 24 years have passed.

Why hasn’t he come to find me yet?

In all these years, even Whis hasn’t come by to visit…

The past is gone, and it’s too painful to recall.

Bulma’s heart seemed locked away, impossible to open anymore.

“Has the kid shown any unusual behavior?” Krillin suddenly asked.

“Unusual behavior?” Goku looked puzzled, not quite understanding.

“For example, during a full moon, has there been any special transformation?” Master Roshi asked anxiously.

“Full moon? We go to bed early,” Goku replied.

“Going to bed early… are you planning for a second child?” Master Roshi, always curious about these things, remarked.

Goku: “???”

Goku had a confused look.

What does going to bed early have to do with having a second child?

“What do you mean?” Goku was perplexed.

“Can you stop saying weird things?” Bulma scolded, irritated.

“I didn’t say anything wrong,” Master Roshi said with a mischievous grin.

“Do you remember that time someone grabbed your turtle shell and tossed you around?” Bulma huffed.

At her words, Master Roshi shivered, his face shifting through several expressions.

“We agreed not to talk about that!” Master Roshi quickly protested.

“Hmph,” Bulma scoffed.

“What are you talking about?” Krillin, curious, moved closer.

“None of your business, now go and focus on finding a girlfriend,” Master Roshi snapped.

“Weren’t you supposed to help me find a girlfriend when I became your student?” Krillin scratched his bald head with a grin.

“What I said was, as my student, you were supposed to bring me a girlfriend!” Master Roshi corrected.

Krillin fell silent, immediately changing the topic. He patted Gohan’s head and asked Goku, “Goku, is this kid as strong as you?”

“I think so. I believe he’s strong, but Chi-Chi won’t let me train him… Every time I try, she gets really mad,” Goku said with some frustration.

“Why not? That’s a real shame,” Krillin commented.

“She says the world is peaceful now, so there’s no need to train. She insists it’s a time for studying and learning,” Goku explained.

“Hahaha, I never would have imagined that wild little girl would become such an education-focused mom,” Master Roshi chuckled.

“Hey, is that a Dragon Ball on Gohan’s hat?” Bulma asked, leaning in to look at the four-star Dragon Ball on Gohan’s hat.

“Yeah, it’s the four-star Dragon Ball, my grandpa’s keepsake. I found it and put it on his hat,” Goku nodded. “I also found the other Dragon Balls; they’re all at home. Seeing them again brings back a lot of memories…”

“Yeah… so many memories,” Bulma sighed.

“Bulma, you mentioned someone named Ren before… does he really exist? Is he one of my people?” Goku asked curiously.

“Yes, he does. But unlike you, his goal is to become a true god,” Bulma nodded slightly.

“A true god? Like Kami?” Krillin asked from the side.

“No,” Bulma shook her head. “In his eyes, someone like Kami wouldn’t even count. Ren wants to become the greatest god in the entire universe.”

“The whole universe…” Krillin looked up at the sky.

Goku suddenly turned his head and looked toward the sky in another direction, his expression changing.

“What’s wrong, Goku?” Krillin asked.

“Something’s coming this way…” Goku’s voice was serious as he clenched his fist tightly.

“Could it be the Ren that Bulma mentioned?” Krillin looked up at the sky.

“Is it really Ren? Whis said he should be transforming into a true god this year,” Bulma added.

Whoosh!

Raditz suddenly descended from the sky, landing right in front of Goku and the others.

Goku’s eyes widened, his brow furrowed as he stared intensely at the figure in front of him.

Bulma and the others were just as startled, having no idea where this man had come from.

In the Ninth Universe, deep in space.

Quitela was quickly knocked out by Broly and Majin Buu.

Quitela didn’t dare fight back. He knew that if he retaliated, he would only be subjected to an even worse beating.

“I’ll just let them beat me. Once they calm down, they might let me go,” Quitela thought just before losing consciousness.

Right before blacking out, Quitela regretted his actions. Why did I provoke them? Why did I bring this on myself? And that angel… he’s way too strong.

“He’s out!” Buu’s eyes lit up as he grabbed Quitela by the collar, lifting him like a helpless chicken.

“Hmph,” Broly snorted, his eyes flashing with killing intent.

“I should turn him into chocolate… I really want some crunchy chocolate. The last time I ate chocolate made from a God of Destruction, it was delicious,” Buu grinned, practically drooling at the thought.

Broly quickly turned to Ren for approval.

“Do as you like. It doesn’t matter to me,” Ren said indifferently.

It’s just a God of Destruction. No big deal.

Especially since this one came here looking for trouble.

Killing him wouldn’t be an issue.

“Then let’s turn him into chocolate,” Buu said with an even bigger grin. The antenna on his head twitched slightly, and purple lightning started to form.

But just as Majin Buu was about to turn Quitela into chocolate…

Whoosh!

A figure suddenly appeared on the scene.

Majin Buu stared at the newcomer, scratching his head in confusion. This person looked strangely familiar.

Broly, on the other hand, immediately rushed forward and knelt before the figure.

The person who had arrived was none other than the Grand Priest.

Ren also stepped forward and bowed in respect.

Seeing Broly kneel, Majin Buu quickly dropped Quitela to the side and followed suit, kneeling before the Grand Priest.

“First of all, congratulations, Ren, on completing your transformation into a true angel,” the Grand Priest said with a warm smile as he looked at Ren.

“Thank you,” Ren responded politely, bowing.

“But I must say, this is the first time I’ve seen an angel with a tail…” The Grand Priest observed curiously, his eyes drawn to the silver-white tail swaying behind Ren.

The tail stood out prominently against the background of space.

“It’s hard to believe 24 years have already passed…” the Grand Priest sighed. “You only have 6 years left. How is your Kai-in-training doing?”

“Only 6 years left, huh?” Ren seemed unconcerned. “No worries, 6 years is more than enough. I’ll make sure he becomes a capable Supreme Kai. By the way, what exactly are the criteria for the Supreme Kai exams?”

“There are two parts: one is a theoretical test, and the other is a combat assessment,” the Grand Priest explained. “Even though Supreme Kais aren’t required to be exceptional fighters, they still need to have decent strength, at least enough to deal with certain threats. They can’t end up like the Supreme Kai of Universe 7, who nearly lost the entire universe because of Majin Buu.”

Majin Buu: “???”

Are you talking about me?

Universe 7’s Supreme Kai?

Oh… now I remember. I did eat two of them, and knocked one away.

There was another one who looked like he was going to wet himself when he saw me.

“Got it,” Ren nodded, taking mental notes.

At the same time, he felt a bit stressed.

He was confident Goku could pass the combat part of the test easily.

But the theoretical part? That could be an issue.

I’ll need to find a way to boost his knowledge…

“Can you give me the key points to focus on?” Ren asked.

The Grand Priest: “…”

Am I supposed to give you study tips?

You think this is a regular test?

After crossing into the world of Dragon Ball, Ren became a Saiyan of Planet Vegeta. At the start, he traded a simple starchy sausage made of technology and hard work for Whis's simplified version of Ultra Instinct. Unexpectedly, he ended up cultivating the power of an angel.

From then on, Ren strived to become an angel.

Years later.

All the gods sat together at one table during the 88th convention of the Universe's Gods of Destruction, Supreme Kais, and apprentice angels.

Beerus suddenly stood up: "Ren, stand up for a moment."

Ren: "????"

Beerus: "Just stand up, it'll be quick."

Ren stood up, puzzled.

Beerus: "I wanted to say that everyone here is trash!"

Ren: "Beerus, sit down. I want to join in too."

Beerus: "You're an angel, why do you want to join?"
