Yasuo in Marvel Chapter 63

Anti-Subversion Plan

“You think you’re the only special human on Earth, Mr. Yasuo? You’re just unaware of it. Earth is constantly in danger!” Nick Fury didn’t want to waste any more time arguing with Yasuo. This guy was really infuriating. He decided to get straight to the point and finally delivered the opening line he had been thinking about for a month!

“A special human? Me? That’s a bad joke. I’ve never thought of myself as the only one. And what about Blade, Deacon Frost—aren’t they all superhumans too?” Yasuo recognized this familiar opening line and cursed internally, “Damn! Isn’t this the Easter egg from Iron Man 1? Can’t you at least come up with some new dialogue?”

Nick Fury really didn’t want to continue the conversation with Yasuo. “I’m planning to establish a special department and invite people like you to join in protecting Earth’s safety, as the last line of defense!” Young people, give them some goals like protecting Earth and saving humanity, and Nick Fury was sure Yasuo would choose to join!

“Sorry, but I’m not interested in your organization. I’m quite satisfied with my life right now. Of course, if certain people would pay me what they owe, I’d be doing even better!” Join the Avengers? Yasuo might have been interested in the past—after all, it meant getting a powerful backer and not having to worry about food or drink. But now, forget it. Yasuo already had his own plans!

Nick Fury didn’t expect Yasuo to reject him so bluntly. His dark face showed no visible change, and he waved his hand to signal Carter to take Yasuo away. There was nothing more to discuss.

As Carter led Yasuo out of the office, Yasuo discreetly placed two warding trinkets without anyone noticing.

When they got down to the first floor, Yasuo noticed that several agents were keeping their distance from him. He believed that if he ever came back to S.H.I.E.L.D., no one would dare stop him again!

Carter called for an agent to escort Yasuo out. As they parted, Carter assured Yasuo that he didn’t need to worry about the commission; she would collect the payment for him directly.

As Yasuo sat silently in the car driven by the agent taking him home, he started to miss Stephen, the chatterbox.

Originally, Yasuo planned to live an easygoing life—killing enemies here and there. With memories of his past life, he remembered everyone who posed a danger to him. As long as he didn’t seek death himself, he could find a girlfriend, live a peaceful life, and go out and have fun when he felt like it. He wanted to be a street hero who didn’t cause trouble, but wasn’t afraid of it either.

But because of what happened with Stephen, Yasuo wanted to do something big. When this idea first popped into his head, he thought he must be crazy. However, he had made a promise to Stephen that he had to keep. Completely wiping out Hydra was unrealistic. Not to mention their secret bases everywhere, even within S.H.I.E.L.D., he hadn’t managed to take down Crossbones today.

Back at his shop, Yasuo went online to search for a name: Gideon Malick. If he remembered correctly, Malick was a member of the World Security Council and, in reality, one of Hydra’s remaining leaders. He was knowledgeable about all the historical background and details and had been searching for the Inhuman Hive.

After mentioning Red Skull to Crossbones, a bold and crazy plan began to form in Yasuo’s mind. The danger level and chance of success were both very high, but if it succeeded, Hydra’s presence in New York would be completely eradicated.

However, Yasuo hit a snag at the very first step of his grand plan. An ordinary internet user couldn’t find any information about someone like Gideon Malick. He needed the help of a powerful hacker. But who could he turn to?

Racking his brain through all his memories of the Marvel universe, an image of an Asian chubby kid appeared in his mind: Ned Leeds, Peter Parker’s classmate and best friend, a nerdy kid with incredible hacking skills. He had provided Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, with endless support from behind the scenes.

Finding the school shouldn’t be a problem. His face was easy to recognize, and he had a sense of justice. Yes, it had to be him.

Yasuo changed into a gray hoodie and used Flash to leave his home, catching a cab to a high school in Queens.

He arrived just in time, and after waiting for a short while, the school started letting out.

Yasuo stood a short distance from the school, carefully observing each student as they exited. Soon, an Asian kid wearing a purple vest, chubby in stature, appeared in Yasuo’s line of sight, accompanied by a slightly timid-looking boy.

That’s right, this should be his target, Ned Leeds, and the boy next to him must be Peter Parker, who hadn’t yet become Spider-Man. Yasuo began quietly tailing them, figuring out where they lived. Now, all that was left was to wait until nightfall!

Back home, Yasuo continued refining his plan, fully immersed in his crazy scheme. If Alexander Pierce could use the Security Council and the events in New York to overthrow S.H.I.E.L.D. and carry out his Insight Project, then why couldn’t Yasuo use these same conditions to overthrow Hydra? As for his identity, Red Skull was a perfect excuse he could leverage. Yasuo knew everything about Hydra. If he couldn’t destroy them from the outside, he would dismantle them from the inside. That would be the consequence of angering the Unforgiven Wind Swordsman!

The sound of the door opening startled Yasuo. From outside, Sharon Carter’s voice called out: “Yasuo, what are you doing? Why didn’t you answer your phone?”

To cover up his nervousness, Yasuo quickly changed into his Blood Moon skin and then stepped outside to face his girlfriend, Sharon Carter: “Nothing, I was just sleeping.”

Sharon Carter looked suspicious as she walked in. There wasn’t a mistress in sight as she had imagined. She also noticed Yasuo dressed in red even at home. She lightly sniffed the air but didn’t catch any scent she had imagined. It seemed she had overthought it. Perhaps her new boyfriend was just a bit of a loner.

Sharon Carter handed Yasuo some cash, saying, “Here you go. S.H.I.E.L.D. paid you your commission. Nick Fury showed me your usual spending habits, and this should cover your expenses. I’ll hold onto the rest of the money for now. After all, if you truly want to marry me, the least you can do is own a house instead of squatting in this place you somehow seized!”

Yasuo stared at the $1,000 in his hand, dumbfounded. He hadn’t expected Sharon Carter to sanction him financially. Damn it, Nick Fury must have been the one behind this. He was surely getting his revenge in a roundabout way, Yasuo thought angrily.

Nick Fury stood by the window of his office, seemingly entertained by some amusing thought. A slight smile appeared on his dark face.

Yasuo completed his first date: dinner, strolling around. He recalled how the server had looked at him with disdain when he saw that Sharon Carter was the one paying the bill. Damn you, Nick Fury! Just you wait, your days of smooth sailing are almost over!

Walking beside Sharon Carter, Yasuo was still thinking about his plan, maybe delaying it until tomorrow night. But unexpectedly, Sharon Carter spoke first: “Sorry, I can’t stay with you tonight. I need to visit my aunt. She hasn’t been feeling well lately.”

Watching Sharon Carter leave, Yasuo set off for Queens, heading to the spot he had scoped out earlier that day!
