Seastone didn’t affect him either.
Moreover, Hals could consume another Devil Fruit without exploding, though he wouldn’t gain new powers. But Hals didn’t need another fruit’s abilities, as they weren’t particularly useful to him.
The devil inside the fruit would simply be reborn into another fruit after Hals ate it.
As for whether Kaido could eat a new fruit without exploding, Hals didn’t know.
And he didn’t plan to find out.

Sabo had died, killed by the cannon fire from a Celestial Dragon’s ship.
To Ace and Luffy, that was the truth.

But for Ace and Luffy, they only knew that their brother Sabo had been killed.
Ace and Luffy started growing stronger rapidly. Ace even unexpectedly awakened Conqueror’s Haki during a battle with a beast, to protect Luffy.
This kid really doesn’t give me any peace of mind.
Garp wanted to take them to Marineford, away from this place of sorrow, but they refused, and he didn’t force them.
Then they asked about Hals.
“Hals has been training at Marineford for a year. He can already fight against Vice Admiral Strawberry without falling behind, thanks to his Marine training.”
“As expected of my grandson.”
Garp’s face was full of pride.
He believed it, but Hals was better suited for endurance battles.
“Ol… man.”
Ace wanted to call him an old man but hesitated, feeling it wasn’t respectful enough but decided to stick with it.
