The next day, Loguetown was bustling with activity, decorated with lanterns and filled with people everywhere.
There were civilians, wealthy people, and Marines everywhere you looked, but no pirates. Even if there were, they were cautiously hiding on the island.
“Squeak, squeak…” In the streets, a golden monkey jumped around, holding a banana in one hand and an apple in the other, occasionally taking a bite full of energy.
Ahead, Nokiyoru seemed uninterested, a bit bored.
“Little Gold, let’s go back! There’s nothing fun here, so let’s go back and train,” Nokiyoru said, dressed in simple casual clothes and looking at the golden monkey beside him.
“Squeak, squeak… just a little longer,” the monkey gestured, enjoying the human market.
All kinds of delicious and fun things were here, things it hadn’t enjoyed in years.
“Then you play by yourself. I’m going back to train.” Nokiyoru waved his hand, turning to leave.
“Squeak, squeak… wait, I want noodles, and then we can go back,” the monkey said urgently, grabbing Nokiyoru.
“Noodles?” Nokiyoru looked at the monkey strangely. After confirming, he nodded.
Soon, a man and a monkey arrived at the best noodle shop in Loguetown and started slurping noodles.
“Boss, give me a large bowl of udon,” a coarse, resounding voice came from the door. A figure excitedly sat down nearby.
Instinctively turning his head, Nokiyoru’s pupils shrank, and he smiled a smile that no one could understand.
“Yo, young man, the udon here is pretty good, right? I haven’t had it in a long time,” the figure said, noticing Nokiyoru’s gaze laughing.
With a friendly face, a distinctive mustache, a worn straw hat, and a simple coat, he looked like a friendly neighborhood uncle.
“Yes, it’s quite good.” Nokiyoru nodded. He didn’t expect to encounter this guy.
“Boss, put that uncle’s noodles on my tab and bring a good bottle of sake.”
“Kid, thanks a lot.” The man smiled generously.
A few hours later, near the coastline in the wilderness of Loguetown, the man, holding a bottle of sake, walked drunkenly among the hills.
The man found a large rock on a high mountain and sat on it, gazing at the fading sunset. He spoke as if to himself, “People will eventually end like this sunset; will the world also end someday?”
The sky was silent, except for the sound of the sea and the wind rustling the leaves.
“Kid, you’ve been following me all day. Aren’t you tired? I can feel your excitement. You’re a strange one.” The man continued to sit on the rock, his eyes still looking at the endless stars.
“Rustle… rustle…” Footsteps on the grass, a thin figure emerged from the darkness.
“You young people are so cruel nowadays. Everything has life. Is it really okay to trample on them like this?” The man turned, his gaze calm.
“I can’t feel their sorrow because I’m like them, without the power to resist.” In the setting sun, a young, chiseled face smiled faintly, looking at the man calmly.
“Ten Tori. Nokiyoru Kara.”
“Pirate King. Gol D. Roger.”
The old man and the young man exchanged glances. The old man laughed heartily, and the young man looked strange.
“Oh dear, young people these days are scary.” The man stood up, dusting off his clothes, and offered a bottle of sake nonchalantly, “Want some?”
“Maybe we should fight first instead of drinking.” Stretching his body, Nokiyoru’s eyes turned golden. He felt his body yearning for a fight.
“You’re full of energy, worthy of being the Dragon’s descendant.” The man took a sip of sake, his face full of expectation.
Raising an eyebrow, Nokiyoru squinted, warily looking at the man.
“I can hear it; you’re uneasy, hesitant.”
“The voice of all things?”
Clearing his mind, Nokiyoru’s expression became serious, his entire body surging with power. He spoke, “Gol D. Roger, please enlighten me.”
“Whoosh… whoosh…” Flames roared, and the entire sky turned golden-red. A giant bird screeched, soaring through the air.
“Three-legged Golden Crow.”
In the air, Nokiyoru’s expression changed his mind in turmoil.
“Endless Arrows.”
High temperatures and hurricanes raged like meteors across the sky.
“Your heart is in chaos.”
The man moved leisurely through the countless arrows.
“Flame Rays.”
“Swish… swish…”
“Boom… boom…” The ground shook, flames scattered everywhere, and a figure appeared, walking out of the dust.
“Five Million Degrees Celsius. Endless Fire Field.”
“High Temperature. Vacuum State.”
Wild and chaotic, a giant flaming bird emerged from the sky.
“Interesting, a domain-like ability?” In the world of fire, the man spoke in surprise, then smiled. “Didn’t expect you to develop an extension ability, draining the air. Impressive.”
“Armament. Super. Fire God Spear.”
“Boom…” Flames quivered, and a giant blade nearly a kilometer long broke through the atmosphere, falling straight down!
“Shing…” With a casual strike of an ordinary long sword, the man split the sky. A white light shot up like a star, piercing the sky.
“Boom… boom…” The giant spear shattered, and Nokiyoru spat blood, his eyes blazing.
“Armament. Divine. Sun.”
Standing firmly, wings spread high, and a flaming energy radiated a destructive aura.
Seeing this move, the man’s previously calm expression changed.
“Armament. Heaven Shine.”
Fists turned black and purple, and the man stood like a towering giant, exuding an unchallengeable aura.
“Go…”
Like a sun falling from the sky, the ground was covered in dazzling black-purple light, suppressing everything.
“Explode…”
“Boom… boom…” The sky filled with flames, the ground cracked, and a terrifying hurricane swept out.
All of Loguetown shook violently.
“What’s happening?” In the Marine base, Sengoku and the others stood up.
“That aura, Roger.” Garp leaped up, turning into a black dot.
“Nokiyoru.” Zephyr’s eyes widened, disappearing from his spot.
“Oh dear! Can’t be true,” Aokiji rubbed his forehead.
“The Pirate King?” Golden light flickered.
“Hmph…” Magma rolled.
On the mountain, after the explosion, a figure lay on the ground, covered in blood and barely alive.
Opposite, the man looked a bit messy, with a trace of blood at the corner of his mouth.
“Sigh… my body can’t hold on anymore.” The man sighed, walking towards Nokiyoru.
“Squeak, squeak…” A golden monkey with three heads and six arms, exuding a violent aura, growled at the man.
“Interesting.” The man smiled innocently. “Don’t worry, I won’t harm him.”
“Squeak, squeak…”
“Little Gold, it’s okay.” Behind him, Nokiyoru, covered in blood, struggled to stand. Though his body was failing, his will kept him standing.
“Outsider.” The world fell silent. Nokiyoru’s eyes widened, staring at the man.
“Sleep, everything will end, descendant of the Dragon from Huaxia.”
“Boom…” The world shook as an invisible storm emanated from the man, overbearing and irresistible. The monkey’s eyes rolled back as it collapsed.
Under immense will, Nokiyoru felt the world pressing on him, making breathing hard and nearly causing him to pass out.
“What… do you… know…” Blood flowed from his orifices, and Nokiyoru’s eyes turned red. A similarly terrifying aura burst from within him.
“Boom…” The ground collapsed as two invisible forces clashed.
“Crack… crack…” Dark red lightning flashed, a violent storm changing the weather and darkening the sky.
“Indeed, the Three-legged Golden Crow, myth, Huaxia, Dragon’s descendant.”
A new surge of power erupted from the man, unstoppable, crushing toward Nokiyoru.
Fear, powerlessness, submission. Nokiyoru felt he was facing a king who wanted him to submit, but…
“What do you know?” Shaking, his bones breaking, Nokiyoru snarled, taking a step forward. Despite the king’s aura, he would destroy him.
“Boom…” The sky cracked, and lightning raged, threatening to destroy everything.
“Pop…” Like a bubble, everything shattered.
“Spurt…” The man stepped back, spitting blood, his face pale.
Nokiyoru’s face twisted, eyes wide open, covered in blood; he collapsed, unconscious.
Looking deeply at Nokiyoru, the man turned to the horizon, where black dots were approaching rapidly.
“Looks like the plan will proceed.” The man’s calm voice echoed, and his figure disappeared.
