Marvel With Pika Pika no Mi Chapter 7

First Visit to Asgard

This morning, Lan Xingyu woke up early. He had no choice; after witnessing his power yesterday, the Ancient One decided to introduce him to an old friend. Since this friend held a high status, the Ancient One had roused Xingyu at the crack of dawn. Even his usual tricks of rolling around in bed, acting cute, and whining were ineffective this time (Don’t ask why a soul in his twenties still acts this way. It’s simple: when cuteness is a weapon, use it while it lasts!).

“Wow! Still so handsome! Why am I so excellent and yet so good-looking? How can others even compete?” Lan Xingyu said, narcissistically admiring his reflection in the mirror.

“All ready! Time to meet Master!” Xingyu pushed open the door and walked towards the Ancient One’s chamber, greeting his senior brothers and sisters along the way.

“Isn’t this our Golden Flash? Up so early today? That’s rare,” a sunny voice called out from not far away.

The voice belonged to Guo Ming, another disciple of the Ancient One. Though his looks were average, he exuded a steadfast and sunny demeanor. Lan Xingyu often sought him out for fun. In fact, Guo Ming was the one who brought Xingyu to his first magic class. Over the past month, Lan Xingyu’s name had spread throughout the magical community.

Everyone now knew that the Ancient One had a six-year-old disciple who could slay a demon with a single sword strike. Due to the golden light of his attacks, Lan Xingyu earned the nickname “Golden Flash.” When Xingyu first heard this, he was shocked. If he hadn’t confirmed that this world had no “Naruto” anime, he might have checked Japan’s anime industry for leaks.

“Good morning, Brother Guo Ming. Ugh, don’t mention it. Master is taking me to meet an old friend today, and she woke me up at the crack of dawn. I’m so tired,” Xingyu replied helplessly. After all, he had to listen to his master.

“Well, you better hurry then. Master’s friends are always highly respectable. Don’t be late,” Guo Ming said with concern.

“I know, don’t worry. When have I ever messed up? By the way, how are things with Sister Ye? You better act fast; many people are pursuing Sister Ye Meng,” Xingyu teased mischievously.

“Scram, you brat! Alright, I won’t nag you anymore. Hurry up and go,” Guo Ming said, blushing and waving Xingyu away.

“Ha ha ha, alright. I’m off. Good luck, Brother Guo Ming!” Xingyu laughed as he dashed away in a streak of golden light towards the Ancient One’s chamber.

“That kid…” Guo Ming smiled wryly. He knew Xingyu was right. Many were indeed pursuing Ye Meng. He needed to act quickly. He had finally managed to invite her for breakfast, under the guise of discussing magic. But as Xingyu had taught him, any opportunity was worth taking.

In an instant, Xingyu arrived at the Ancient One’s chamber door. He knocked politely, adhering to the rule that one must notify before entering a top-level sorcerer’s sanctuary. These sanctuaries were places for experiments and magic research, requiring a quiet environment. Therefore, theoretically, teleportation into such places was forbidden (key word: theoretically).

“Come in, Xingyu,” the Ancient One’s voice echoed in his mind. Xingyu opened the door and entered.

“Master, I’m here. When are we leaving? Where are we going?” Xingyu asked excitedly. Though he resented waking up early, the prospect of leaving Kamar-Taj for the first time filled him with excitement.

“Are we going to America? Or China?” Honestly, Xingyu hoped to visit China, his homeland—though not the same one he knew.

“Neither. Today, I’m taking you to see an extraterrestrial civilization. We’re going to Asgard!” the Ancient One revealed mysteriously.

“Asgard! Isn’t that…?” Xingyu pretended to be puzzled, despite knowing about Asgard, to avoid raising suspicion.

“Ha ha, just follow me,” the Ancient One said, opening a portal with a wave of her hand. She led Xingyu through the portal to a garden surrounded by golden buildings, all in majestic Nordic architecture.

In the garden, a couple awaited. The man appeared elderly but with eyes that radiated divine light. Though dressed in simple home attire, he exuded an aura of majesty that commanded respect. Beside him stood a woman, seemingly in her prime, with an air of timeless grace. Lan Xingyu thought these must be Odin and his wife, Frigga.

The Ancient One approached Odin and greeted him with a slight bow. “Long time no see, King Odin and Queen Frigga.”

“Ha ha ha, long time no see, Sorcerer Supreme. Welcome to Asgard!” Odin and Frigga responded together.

“Let me introduce you to my newest and youngest disciple, Lan Xingyu,” the Ancient One said, presenting Xingyu.

Understanding the situation, Xingyu stepped forward, bowed, and greeted, “Greetings, King Odin and Queen Frigga. I am Lan Xingyu.”

“What a well-mannered child,” Frigga said, patting Xingyu’s head. Inwardly, she thought, Wow! So cute! I want to pinch his cheeks!

It seemed Xingyu’s charm was universal, transcending gender and even species.

Odin, however, thought deeper: The surname Lan…

“Dear, why don’t you take this young one to explore Asgard? The Sorcerer Supreme and I have matters to discuss. Sorcerer, would you stay for a feast? I’ve arranged a banquet in your honor. It would also be a good opportunity for my children to meet you,” Odin suggested.

“That would be wonderful. I also want Xingyu to explore more of the world beyond Kamar-Taj,” the Ancient One agreed.

“Great. Then I’ll take this little one to explore Asgard. Would you like that, young one?” Frigga asked, squatting to meet Xingyu’s eye level.

“Yes, please!” Xingyu replied excitedly. This trip was turning out to be fantastic—visiting Asgard and having the queen as his guide. What could be better?

Seeing Xingyu’s enthusiasm, Frigga took his hand and led him away.

Watching his wife and Xingyu leave, Odin turned to the Ancient One. “He bears the surname Lan. Is he…?”

“Yes, he is the child of my disciple, the only mortal with a statue in your Hall of Heroes, Lan,” the Ancient One confirmed.

“Her child, huh? No wonder he seemed extraordinary. The reason I invited you today is to discuss the new Heavenly Father-level being on Earth. Have you met him?” Odin asked, needing to confirm this important matter.

The Ancient One smiled knowingly. “It’s a long story. Let’s walk and talk.”

“Alright.” Odin, not noticing the Ancient One’s smile, led her to a nearby pavilion.

“By the way, this newly ascended Heavenly Father-level being—you already know him,” the Ancient One hinted as she pulled out a small glass sphere, a device for recording images.

“Oh, I know him? But how is that possible? I only know you as a strong being on Earth. Who else could it be?” Odin grew more puzzled.

“He just went off to play with your wife,” the Ancient One said.

“Playing with my wife… What!!” Realizing what she meant, Odin spun around to face her. In his haste, he tripped over his own feet, almost falling. He quickly caught himself with a golden spear that appeared in his hand.

Seeing Odin stabilize himself, the Ancient One regretfully put away the glass sphere. Ignoring her playful friend’s probable trick, Odin urgently sought confirmation.

“You mean Xingyu? How could he be Heavenly Father-level? He’s only seven or eight years old!”

“He’s actually only six, with a few months to go before turning seven,” the Ancient One corrected with a smile, enjoying Odin’s shock.

“A six-year-old Heavenly Father-level… My beard!” Odin lamented. The comparison made him feel inadequate. He had once thought his second son was decent, if a bit slow, but now felt embarrassed. His son couldn’t even compare to a child. No, I need to train him harder when he gets back! Completely forgetting that at his son’s age, he too couldn’t compare to Lan Xingyu.

Meanwhile, on a distant planet helping to quell a rebellion, Thor shivered. Why do I feel a sudden chill? Could there be Frost Giants? No, that’s impossible. Never mind, let’s finish this battle quickly. I have to return to Asgard today. Thor shook his head, refocusing on the fight.
