Koshino was utterly shocked by Guy’s response, his pupils narrowing slightly in disbelief. Since arriving in this world, Guy had been his first friend, the first person he truly bonded with.
So, no one understood Guy’s unyielding nature better than Koshino, who had just joined the so-called “Incompetent Squad.” he knew all too well that Guy was not the kind of person who could be easily intimidated. In the original story, even when faced with the invincible Madara Uchiha, Guy never gave up his pride, opening all Eight Gates and challenging the ultimate boss, earning him the title of “Blue Beast.”
In Koshino’s memory, even in the presence of the Fourth Hokage or the camp’s highest commander, Shikaku Nara, Guy had always dared to speak his mind and correct any mistakes.
But now, here was Guy, bowing his head to the esteemed Uchiha and Hyuga clans.

“We appreciate the thought, but the consequences… we can’t handle them!”
“Alright, no problem. I’ll listen to you guys,” Koshino replied, keeping a smile on his face while secretly fuming inside.
Koshino was known for his cool-headedness, as shown in his previous encounters with the Mist ninjas. he wasn’t one to act recklessly. So, even though Genma and Ebisu’s advice seemed disheartening, Koshino wasn’t about to cause trouble just to satisfy his anger, knowing it would only create more problems for them.
But just when Koshino thought Guy’s appeasement might actually work, Uchiha Rei and Hyuga Hinoe’s next actions made his eyes turn cold with anger.
There was no doubt that the conflict between Uchiha Rei and Hyuga Hinoe had nothing to do with Guy and the “Incompetent Squad” members. It was purely a clash between the two clans.
And since it was a clan conflict, there had to be a winner.
So even if Guy smiled and tried to please everyone, what good would it do?
As long as Uchiha Rei and Hyuga Hinoe couldn’t settle their differences, they weren’t going to let this go.
Then, just as Guy, with humiliation, prepared to lead Koshino and the others to carry out Uchiha Rei and Hyuga Hinoe’s tasks, Koshino noticed the cold smirks on their faces.
Before Guy could even take a step, Hyuga Hinoe suddenly kicked him in the knee, sending Guy crashing to the ground with a thud.
“Worthless! Allowing your squad of trash to participate in our mission is a favor!”
“Did you think the Hyuga clan has no temper?”
“Fine! Let me show you how wrong you are!”

With a furious shout, Hyuga Hinoe began to mercilessly beat Guy, not even giving Koshino a chance to intervene. Guy’s face quickly turned purple from the blows.
Meanwhile, seeing Hyuga Hinoe’s actions, Uchiha Rei turned his vicious gaze towards Koshino and the others.
With a loud slap, Genma was sent sprawling to the ground. Then another slap followed, leaving Ebisu’s face swollen.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Uchiha Rei, still full of rage, lifted his hand to strike Koshino as well.
But just as Uchiha Rei expected to see Koshino’s frail figure collapse under his blow, a sudden surge of pain made him cry out in agony. To his shock, before his hand could make contact, a kunai had pierced his wrist.
“You… you must be insane!” Hyuga Hinoe stammered, backing away in fear.
“You dare use a kunai in the camp? I’m going to report this to Lord Shikaku!”
Bright red blood dripped from Uchiha Rei’s wrist, and Hyuga Hinoe was genuinely terrified.
Only weaklings bully the helpless. Although Guy, Genma, and Ebisu weren’t weak shinobi, they were undeniably in a weaker position after joining the “Incompetent Squad.”
So, if Uchiha Rei and Hyuga Hinoe could strut around in front of them, it only meant one thing: they were just spoiled brats from their respective clans.
Seeing Uchiha Rei bleeding and hearing his cries of pain, Hyuga Hinoe’s fear grew.
Yet, even in the face of Koshino’s cold glare, Uchiha Rei was somewhat more stubborn than Hyuga Hinoe. Despite his injury, he wasn’t willing to back down just yet. He still saw the “Incompetent Squad” members as weaklings, so when Hyuga Hinoe started retreating, unable to withstand Koshino’s killing intent, Uchiha Rei grabbed the kunai with his other hand and lunged at him.
“Fool! I’ll kill you!”
“Kill who, exactly?” Koshino’s voice was icy.
Thud!
Before Uchiha Rei could even get close, Koshino’s foot shot out, knocking him flat on the ground. Without missing a beat, he planted his foot on his face.
However, Uchiha Rei’s reckless attack had given Hyuga Hinoe a boost of confidence.
Seeing Uchiha Rei charge, Hyuga Hinoe thought he had a chance. He abandoned Guy and drew his own kunai, preparing to join forces with Uchiha Rei to take Koshino down.
But what Hyuga Hinoe didn’t realize was that Uchiha Rei, a Chūnin, couldn’t even last one round against Koshino. When he saw Uchiha Rei pass out from Koshino’s single kick, Hyuga Hinoe stumbled back, his eyes filled with panic, even as a cruel smile spread across his face.
“Hahaha! You’ve got yourself in big trouble, kid!”
“Uchiha Rei might be trash, but he’s still from the Uchiha clan. You won’t be able to handle their wrath!”
“And me! I’m from the Hyuga clan! You can’t lay a finger on me!”
“If you dare hurt me, Lord Hiashi… Lord Hiashi will definitely—”
“Ahhh!”
Even as Hyuga Hinoe tried to bluff and rely on the prestige of the Uchiha and Hyuga clans, he failed to realize that Koshino had never cared about those clans at all.
So, while Hyuga Hinoe was still deluding himself into thinking Koshino would back down, relying on his cruel smile and the prestige of his clan, Koshino didn’t give him a chance to finish his sentence. Using the Wind’s Instantaneous Body Technique, he was on him in an instant, knocking him to the ground with a single kick.
And as he stood over Hyuga Hinoe, his foot pressing down on his chest, he continued to babble about the Hyuga clan’s prestige. But the cold gleam in Koshino’s eyes was unmistakable. Without hesitation, he slashed at Hyuga Hinoe’s wrists with his kunai, severing his tendons and rendering his hands useless.
His voice was devoid of any emotion as he spoke, driving Hyuga Hinoe into despair.
“Attacking an ANBU operative is equivalent to treason against the village!”
“Hyuga Hinoe, Uchiha Rei, as a member of the Razor Squad, I, Koshino, hereby declare that you both are suspected of treason against the village!”
“According to ANBU regulations, traitors in times of war are to be executed without mercy!”
“KILL!”
