The Pirate: Dark Admiral Chapter 53

The More Evil Branch than G2 - G8

The blue sea was stained red with blood, and the burnt corpses emitted a nauseating stench.

Greedy vultures circled in the sky, waiting for the battle to end.

“Furman, Joseph, you two dare to openly attack the Navy. Are you not afraid that the headquarters will deploy a fleet to surround and annihilate you? If you retreat now, I can pretend nothing happened.”

Morgan, the rear admiral, glanced at the horrifying scene on the warship, feeling like a venomous snake was gnawing his heart. Those young soldiers were the future of the Navy; they shouldn’t die so meaninglessly.

He had been careless because he never thought pirates would be crazy enough to launch an attack in the first half of the Grand Line.

Pirates openly attacking the Navy, at least in the Four Seas and the New World was not uncommon.

But this was the first half of the Grand Line, where the Navy had absolute dominance!

Moreover, attacking a warship was the most unforgivable crime.

Any pirate daring to challenge the Navy’s authority would be eradicated in the shortest time possible to maintain the Navy’s prestige. He believed these two pirates were aware of this.

“Look! Look! The mighty Rear Admiral Morgan, who once chased us relentlessly and looked down on scum like us, is now reduced to making threats and begging. This is too delightful!” Furman laughed wildly, causing the surrounding pirates to join in the laughter.

Seeing the once high and mighty Navy reduced to its current sorry state was a supreme pleasure for any pirate.

“Rear Admiral Morgan, you don’t need to worry about what’s next. We’ve decided to head to the New World after this score. If your Navy is so capable, you can try to follow us to that sea meant only for the strong.” Joseph sneered mockingly. “But once in the New World, who’s to say who will catch whom!”

In the bloody and brutal battlefield, no one noticed a golden eagle circling and chirping above, with a Navy officer kneeling on its back, observing the situation below.

“With a rear admiral and such capable soldiers, it seems this warship is part of G8, just like us, heading to the Navy headquarters for further training, huh?”

“Boss, are the enemies strong? Can we handle them?” The golden eagle beneath Rougishu asked eagerly.

“The enemies consist of ten pirate ships, three times the number of our warship. However, they seem to be a ragtag group hastily put together, barely maintaining a stalemate with those Navy soldiers.”

Rougishu continued, “The main issue is that Rear Admiral Morgan is already showing signs of defeat. Once he completely falls, and those two pirate captains join the sea battle, the situation will collapse instantly.”

The eagle, Gregory, shook its head. “I don’t get it, Boss. Just tell me if we can fight or not.”

“Let’s put it this way: it’s free credit.” Rougishu said as he took out a Den Den Mushi and quickly connected, asking, “Where are you guys?”

“Boss, we’re at the edge of the combat zone. We can see both sides fighting.”

“Attack now. Aim to annihilate those pirates.” Rougishu wasn’t too worried. With his powerful Kenbunshoku Haki, apart from the two pirate captains, he hadn’t detected anyone worth noting.

In Rougishu’s eyes, those ten pirate ships were cobbled together as cannon fodder after the complete defeat of their original fleets. If G8 branch soldiers could suppress them, there was no need to worry about the elite soldiers he had trained over the past two years.

“Great, Boss, we were waiting for your word!” Abraham and the others had absolute trust in Rougishu, built through countless battles and the “leadership aura” he had developed over the past two years.

“Caw caw! Free credit? That’s my favorite!” Gregory let out a peculiar laugh and, without further instructions, dived straight down from the sky.

The howling wind made the three combatants pause slightly.

“A stupid bird looking for death?” Furman frowned.

The sharp-eyed Joseph was horrified, “Be careful, there’s a Navy officer on its back!”

“Great, reinforcements!” Rear Admiral Morgan quickly reacted, bursting out with powerful energy to entangle the two.

Rougishu leapt down from the air using the diving speed, charging at Furman, the ability user.

“Damn it, do you think I’m easy to bully? Crimson Stinger!” In semi-beast form, Furman’s long tail suddenly extended, tipped with a crimson stinger that looked terrifyingly deadly.

“Be careful, don’t let his…”

Before Rear Admiral Morgan could finish his warning, he saw the Navy youth effortlessly dodge the attack as if he had foreseen it, landing a powerful punch on Furman’s head.

The battle was on the top deck of the warship, but Furman, struck by the punch, penetrated through multiple layers of the ship’s structure, ultimately plunging into the vast sea.

As for the fate of a Devil Fruit user falling into the sea, there was no need to elaborate.

Joseph gulped involuntarily. Though the attack was a surprise, taking down someone nearly as strong as him with one punch was terrifying. This Navy youth was a dragon in human skin!

Seeing Rear Admiral Morgan’s malicious gaze, Joseph realised the situation had shifted from two-on-one to one-on-two, and the worst part was he might not even be a match for either opponent.

At this thought, cold sweat drenched his entire body.

The pirates were equally shocked by this sudden change, never expecting the situation to reverse so quickly.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

At that moment, a few ceremonial shells flew in from the distant sea, landing precisely among the concentrated pirates. They caused heavy casualties without hitting any friendly forces.

“Another ship?”

The ragtag pirate alliance’s morale shattered as another warship appeared, with many pirates decisively abandoning their captains and comrades to flee.

Seeing his ten pirate ships fleeing in mere seconds, Joseph shouted in rage.

“Get back here! I’m not even on the ship yet!”
