The Most Talented Pirate Hunter Chapter 61

Out in the Open, Kindness is the Rule

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Flying Finger Pistols cut through the air, heading straight for Jora and Machvise. Their piercing power is more terrifying than that of a sniper rifle, evident from the sharp sound they make.

“Quick, dodge!”

“Art of Life!”

Machvise immediately rolled to find cover while Jora released an artful smog.

“Ah!!!”

A sharp scream came from Jora, who was sent flying through the air. Somehow, Hermes appeared where she stood, retracting his foot before disappearing again.

Hiding behind a rock, Machvise’s heart pounded in fear. Before he could turn around, a whip-like kick was coming, bursting his eardrums before it landed.

Crack.

The sound of bones breaking filled the air. Machvise spat out blood, his face contorted in pain as he flew through the air. Before he could hit the ground, Hermes appeared and kicked him again, twisting Machvise’s body in mid-air.

“You bastard, die! Heaven’s Art!”

Somehow back on her feet, Jora charged towards Hermes, her body emitting colorful smog.

As long as she could touch him, she could grab him.

Life or death depended on this strike.

“No!!!”

The reality was cruel. Before the colorful smog could reach him, Hermes vanished and reappeared in mid-air, kicking out a brilliant white arc.

A massive explosion ensued, dust and smoke rising high.

When the dust settled, Jora lay in a crater, covered in blood, barely clinging to life.

Meanwhile, Machvise used the force of his fall to quickly distance himself from the scene. His body was broken in countless places, and he needed to inform the Young Master.

Luckily, the Den Den Mushi in his pocket was still alive.

“Blu blu blu!”

“Pick up, please.”

Machvise could feel a terrifying presence approaching from behind, his bloodied face filled with despair and urgency.

“Hello!”

Three seconds felt like a month of torment for Machvise.

It was Trebol’s voice.

“We were attacked by Hunter King Hermes Jormungandr. Dellinger and Jora might already be dead. Inform the Young Master quickly.”

Machvise yelled as he spat blood.

“What?”

Trebol’s expression changed drastically in a kingdom far away on the Grand Line as he was negotiating a deal.

Nearby, Doflamingo’s face grew dark, an icy killing intent radiating from him.

“Ah!!!”

Machvise’s scream echoed through the Den Den Mushi, followed by the sound of him collapsing.

The Den Den Mushi’s eyes closed as it lost signal from hitting the ground.

“Bice, Bice!”

“Fuh fuh fuh~”

“Jormungandr.”

Doflamingo snatched the Den Den Mushi, calling out a few times without response, veins bulging in his neck and forehead. He disappeared from sight, reappearing in the air, shooting threads to clouds, rapidly heading towards Dressrosa.

He was going to kill that man.

“Return to Dressrosa.”

Trebol and the others also wore grim faces, their anger reaching unprecedented levels.

Meanwhile, on the King’s Plateau.

Hermes stepped on Machvise, glancing at the Den Den Mushi lying unconscious on the rock. He didn’t care.

Informing Doflamingo was too late!

“The Young Master will avenge me.”

Pinned to the ground, Machvise struggled to turn his head, only able to see a large foot. Blood flowed from his mouth and nose, too weak to resist.

Facing death, he wasn’t afraid, nor did he beg for mercy.

He believed the Young Master would avenge him, a man born to rule. His only regret was no longer being able to follow him.

“I admire Doffy, but sadly, we can’t be friends.”

Hermes sighed.

How did their misunderstanding start?

Forget it!

Thinking too much was useless. Doflamingo had done too much for him. Looking at it this way, he felt like a jerk.

“So, where’s your treasure vault?”

“Don’t even think I’ll tell you.”

Despite being on the brink of death, Machvise remained defiant.

He would never betray Doflamingo.

Hermes didn’t ask again, dragging Machvise like a dead dog, gathering Jora and Dellinger together.

“Treat them.”

Hermes shrugged, signaling Mansherry on his shoulder to do her thing.

Two tears fell, her healing power shining brightly.

In no time, Jora and Dellinger, who were barely alive, began to recover. Mansherry’s tears were indeed powerful.

Perhaps she had grown stronger, enhancing her healing abilities.

“Whoever tells me where the treasure vault is, lives.”

Hermes offered a condition for survival.

“Don’t think we will betray the Young Master.”

Jora hated Hermes the most and nearly killed last time. If given the chance, she would tear Hermes to pieces.

Whoosh!
Hermes flicked his finger, piercing Jora’s head with a finger bullet. She collapsed, her eyes wide in disbelief.

She didn’t expect Hermes to be so decisive.

“Jora!”

Machvise and Dellinger were shocked, glaring at Hermes.

“You coward! You wouldn’t show up when the Young Master was around.”

Dellinger’s eyes were red, wishing to pierce Hermes with his fighting fish horns.

“Enemy.”

“Shoot.”

“Rescue Machvise and Dellinger!”

Late-arriving guards aimed their guns at Hermes, who sighed.

In minutes, the scene was quiet again.

Only more bodies littered the ground.

“Back to our topic.”

Hermes crouched, looking between Machvise and Dellinger.

“I’ll tell you. Will you spare us?”

Dellinger clenched his fists, having given in.

He had to survive to seek revenge.

Machvise was in disbelief, ready to hold out, believing Dellinger wouldn’t betray the Young Master.

“Dellinger, what are you doing?”

“We must live to await the Young Master’s return.”

Dellinger wasn’t afraid of death. He needed to kill this man himself. Now, he was too young and weak. Given time, he would grow strong.

“You bastard, betraying the Young Master.”

Ignoring Machvise’s rage, Dellinger stared at Hermes.

“No problem.”

Hermes snapped his fingers, readily agreeing.

Seemed generous.

To him, these two were small fry, not worth his level. Besides, Hermes believed in kindness.

“Good!”

Dellinger sighed in relief, fearing the man might kill them impulsively.

The rest was easy.

Dellinger led Hermes to the treasure vault. Machvise, meanwhile, collapsed into unconsciousness. No wonder the vault was hidden in a side room’s basement, likely carved by Pica’s power.

It is impossible to find without a guide.

The basement was a maze.
