Even though he possessed a mysterious warehouse, Rin still couldn’t figure out how to access it, which left him feeling quite uneasy.
He was particularly frustrated because the warehouse contained many powerful anime characters, yet he couldn’t summon them. Moreover, all the Naruto-themed figurines were gone, leading him to wonder if they had somehow crossed over into the Naruto world and vanished.
Unable to understand or figure it out, Rin felt a strong resistance to encountering characters from the original story. Peace was his top priority, especially in his current state of insufficient strength.
Kuroro, unaware of Rin’s fleeting thoughts, calmly observed Haku as she continued to display her strange Ice Release abilities.
At that moment, Rin walked over to Haku, squatting down to speak softly.
“Haku, I’ve seen your ability. It’s fantastic!”
Haku and Pikachu looked at Rin, happy to hear his praise.
Rin gently rubbed their heads and said softly.
“No one should ever mock or deny your abilities, Haku. To me, your power is the best!”
“And you should never deny your own abilities either. It’s a talent bestowed upon you by the heavens, so cherish it.”
Haku’s big eyes reflected Rin’s smile, and she was momentarily dazed. Then, realizing what he said, she nodded firmly with a soft voice.
“Yes, brother, I understand!”
Seeing her reaction, Rin felt a bit relieved, thinking to himself.
This should slightly alter the storyline…
In the original story, Haku never fully explored the depths of her Ice Release, which had great potential. Haku fundamentally hated her power, believing it had destroyed her family. Consequently, she only continued training to be useful to Zabuza, never fully realizing her potential.
Despite these thoughts, Rin felt somewhat awkward thinking about Haku now being a girl. He speculated that his crossing over might have caused this change, but couldn’t figure out how.
Currently, he decided to start Haku on some necessary training.
“Haku, from today on, I will give you some tasks.”
Haku looked at him, puzzled by his words.
Rin looked at her seriously, speaking in a solemn tone.
“This is to prove yourself to your parents and to help you assist me in the future. It might be very tough, but can you accept this training, Haku?”
Haku seemed conflicted, looking at Rin’s serious expression. Finally, she lowered her head and asked softly.
“Brother… if I train, can I not stay with Pikachu?”
Rin was taken aback, then laughed and replied softly.
“Of course not. Pikachu is your good friend and will train with you.”
Hearing this, Pikachu perked up its ears, looking puzzled.
“Pika?”
Haku’s face lit up with relief, happily asking.
“Really? Pikachu can always be with me?”
Rin smiled and nodded.
Haku’s cheeks turned red with joy as she nodded firmly, saying earnestly.
“I will train hard as you said, brother!”
Rin felt very satisfied with this response.
Next, he brought Haku and Pikachu to a large tree and spoke softly.
“Haku, from today on, try climbing to the top of this tree!”
Yes, Rin assigned Haku the same initial training task that started Naruto and Sasuke’s journey—tree climbing.
Both Haku and Pikachu looked up at the towering tree, wide-eyed and disheartened.
Rin gently patted Haku’s shoulder, speaking softly.
“Don’t worry. For you, Haku, this shouldn’t be difficult if you properly use your power.”
“Think carefully about how you controlled the snow water, Haku.”
After leaving these words, Rin stepped back to stand with Kuroro, observing from a distance.
Haku and Pikachu stood alone by the tree, looking up at its height with apprehension.
Kuroro and Rin stood side by side, the taller and shorter figures contrasting sharply.
Rin, still wearing Kuroro’s coat over a white kimono sewn by the villagers, resembled a younger Sasuke in appearance.
“Are you just going to leave these two little ones here?” Kuroro asked calmly.
Rin nodded, sighing.
“I’ve told Haku how to train. I believe in her talent. If it’s her, she will achieve the goal quickly.”
Even Sakura managed to accomplish the tree-climbing task in just a few days in the original story, so Rin believed Haku would succeed even faster.
This confidence was based on his knowledge of the story.
“Are you really planning to attack there, Rin?” Kuroro asked suddenly.
“If it’s you, I don’t see the need to take such a risk.”
Rin was not surprised by Kuroro’s question, given their previous discussions.
“Information obtained from those bandits confirmed the presence of a ninja among them.”
“A ninja willing to join a group of bandits probably isn’t very strong.”
“And because of his notorious reputation, killing him won’t attract much attention.”
“If we’re successful, we might capture a live ninja, allowing both you and me to learn about chakra.”
Kuroro’s eyes flashed with excitement at Rin’s words, softly muttering.
“The power unique to this world… called chakra…”
Finally, Kuroro nodded, looking at Rin seriously.
“If you insist on going, let’s wait a few more days. At least wait until your injuries are fully healed.”
Rin agreed without hesitation, nodding seriously.
To ensure he wouldn’t hold Kuroro back, he needed to recover in the next few days fully.
