In no time, steaming dishes were placed on the dining table, making Tony’s mouth water. Just then, the sound of the door opening echoed, and Pepper Potts entered Tony’s house, holding some lunch boxes.
Originally, Tony had a personal chef, but since Tony was kidnapped, the chef had left. Pepper knew Tony’s life skills were terrible; he didn’t even know his social security number. Normally, Tony’s house had some instant food items, and if Tony were alone, he could just instruct JARVIS to prepare something. But tonight was different; Tony’s home now had an adorable child. Pepper thought, “How can I let the child eat those unhealthy foods? What if my little cutie gets a stomach ache? She didn’t trust Tony to take care of anyone.”
After entering the house, Pepper immediately smelled an enticing aroma. “Did Tony order takeout? No, when did he learn such sophisticated operations?” With these doubts, Pepper walked into the living room and saw Tony drooling over the dishes on the table, unable to start eating. Meanwhile, her little cutie was wearing an apron longer than himself, floating in mid-air.
Pepper thought, “Not only is my little cutie able to cook, but he can also fly! What’s happening?” Pepper couldn’t stay calm anymore. She wondered, “What should I do if my little cutie can fly? Urgent, waiting online!”
Seeing Pepper come in, Lan Xingyu called out, “Pepper sister, you’re here! Just in time for dinner. I made a lot!”
Tony noticed Pepper’s presence for the first time, “Pepper, join us for dinner. Don’t be so surprised; Xingyu is a powerful little sorcerer!”
Since Pepper was Tony’s most trusted person, they had previously discussed whether Pepper could know about Xingyu’s true identity.
Xingyu, of course, didn’t mind. He knew that Pepper would become the mistress of this house. Plus, he liked Pepper very much, and she treated him especially well, so he agreed without hesitation.
Pepper, still a bit dazed, sat at the dining table, her mind racing. Xingyu saw Pepper sitting there in a daze and called out, “Pepper sister, time to eat! I’ll explain everything to you later. Let’s eat first.”

In just a few minutes, the three of them had cleared the table. Pepper took off Xingyu’s apron and wore it herself, starting to clean up.
“Tony, do you have any channels for selling antiques or special metals like vibranium?” Xingyu asked.
“Oh, for antiques, yes, and for metals, even more so. But can you show me your metals first? If they’re suitable, I can buy them directly from you!” Tony thought about his future armor projects and wanted to see what metals Xingyu had.
Xingyu extended his hands into the air, as if pouring something out. A pile of items, including a small heap of antiques and various minerals, appeared.
Tony picked up an antique. From the style, it seemed to be of Norse origin but was well-preserved. Tony was surprised.
“Where did you get these antiques? So many, and all in such good condition?”
“Asgard, the realm of Norse gods,” Xingyu said calmly.
“Asgard? Isn’t that just a myth? Those stories are real?”
“Yes, Asgardians once visited Earth and fought Frost Giants to protect it. That’s why there are legends about them on Earth. Their strong combat abilities made ancient Norse people call them gods. In the universe, they’re one of the strongest factions, capable of calling themselves gods.”
“What about Earth?” Tony asked, feeling a bit worried. He was beginning to feel a sense of urgency. After all, Earth was very small compared to the universe.
“Technically, Asgardians are still the protectors of Earth because Earth is Midgard, one of the Nine Realms. Theoretically, all Nine Realms are under Asgard’s protection. However, Earth is special because we have our own protectors, like our sorcerers. My master is on the same level as Odin, the All-Father of Asgard. They’re good friends, so Asgard is friendly toward Earth.”
“How strong are these All-Father level beings?” Tony asked curiously.
“All-Father level beings can destroy a planet by themselves.”
“What? Destroy a planet alone? Wait, Ancient One said she couldn’t beat you now, so you…” Tony was too shocked to continue.
“Exactly! I’m at the peak of the All-Father level. Neither my master nor Odin can defeat me now!” Xingyu said proudly, hands on his hips.
Tony finally understood why the Ancient One wanted Xingyu to experience life and go to school. It was to ensure Xingyu had a solid moral compass. Making friends with peers was to give Xingyu more bonds, and having Tony adopt him was to protect him and delay his exposure to the darker sides of human nature. If Lan Xingyu ever turned evil… Tony shuddered at the thought.
Tony suddenly felt immense pressure. How could someone like him properly educate Xingyu? He felt like he was suddenly responsible for a super-powerful nuke.
Seeing Tony’s nervous expression, Xingyu reassured him, “Don’t worry, I’ll protect Earth. Keeping my word is my magical way.” (Guess which references this line contains.)
Tony suddenly felt much more at ease. Maybe this was Xingyu’s charm. He seemed capable of making anything he said come true.
Tony remembered that the Ancient One had mentioned Xingyu facing interdimensional demons before he had reached his current power level. Tony wanted to know how Xingyu had felt facing such a situation.
“By the way, Xingyu, weren’t you afraid the first time you faced a demon?” Tony asked.
“Of course I was!” Xingyu replied frankly.
“But if heroes run away, who will stay and fight? Right?” Xingyu smiled, his face bright and adorable in the light.
