Tier Harribel, a Vasto Lorde-class Hollow, is one of the top three strongest in Hueco Mundo.
Not long ago, Baraggan tried to subjugate Harribel, but she refused. This led to an epic battle between the two, resulting in Harribel escaping with injuries.
Currently, Harribel was hiding in a secluded place to recuperate. She had recently sensed Aizen’s spiritual pressure. Recognizing it as that of a Shinigami, she was astonished at its strength, which rivaled that of Baraggan.
Before Harribel could ponder more, she sensed Baraggan’s spiritual pressure. This suggested a potential clash between the two. Determined, she hurried towards the source of the spiritual pressures.
Harribel and Baraggan could never coexist peacefully unless she submitted to him, something her pride and principles wouldn’t allow. She believed that pursuing power through sacrifice required paying the price of sacrifice, hence she refrained from killing and consuming other Hollows for strength. This made her ideologically incompatible with Baraggan and most of Hueco Mundo.
Realizing they were destined to be enemies, Harribel saw this confrontation as an opportunity to act as the mantis stalking the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.
Suddenly, she sensed something and looked up, freezing in place. A meteor entwined with blood-red lightning streaked through the sky towards Baraggan’s spiritual pressure.
A shiver ran through Harribel just by watching the blood-red meteor. Was the battle already starting? Without hesitation, she sped up using Sonído.
Simultaneously, Baraggan noticed the approaching blood-red meteor. Despite a moment of unease, his confidence in his power and status made him ignore it. Seeing the nearing meteor, he felt provoked, a cold glint flashing in his eyes as he said, “Very well, intruder, you have thoroughly angered me.”
Without hesitation, Baraggan swung his skeletal hand, summoning a massive black axe wrapped in chains, known as the “Axe of Ruin.”
As the ancient, decaying voice echoed, the giant black axe cleaved towards the blood-red meteor, resembling a massive guillotine in the sky. In the next second, the meteor collided with the black axe.
The black axe shattered instantly, disintegrating into countless fragments that dispersed into the void, while the meteor, unaffected, continued towards Baraggan.
Stunned, Baraggan never imagined his axe, capable of grievously injuring Harribel, would shatter instantly. Harribel, having arrived, saw the ornate spear exuding a mythical aura and witnessed it shattering the axe.
Before she could react, Baraggan roared angrily, “Whatever you are, rot away!”
A black mist like a deathly swamp surged from Baraggan towards the spear—his core ability, the power to decay all things.
Baraggan smirked coldly, expecting the spear to rot and break under his black mist, his mouth already forming words to mock its failure.
In the next moment, Baraggan’s expression froze. Harribel, hiding and observing, was equally stunned, her green eyes wide with shock.
The spear pierced through the decaying black mist, dissipating it entirely, its momentum undiminished. For the first time, Baraggan felt true fear, realizing the spear was not something he could withstand.
Abandoning all pretense of dignity, Baraggan used Sonído to evade. He mocked the spear’s wielder for using such a powerful weapon as a one-time throw, planning to retrieve and claim it later.
As he distanced himself sufficiently, Baraggan turned to see where the spear had landed, intending to seize it afterward. But to his shock, the meteor was right upon him.
How was this possible!? He had fled far enough! Why…
Before he could ponder further, the spear pierced his body. As it did, the blood-red lightning exploded, transforming the area into a thunderous inferno, reminiscent of the end of an era.
Harribel was left dumbfounded. Aizen, Gin, and Tōsen were equally stunned. Yoruichi, perched on Gilgamesh’s shoulder, was so shocked she tumbled onto Vimana.
Yoruichi ignored her fall, her cat eyes wide with awe at the thunderous inferno. Gilgamesh, however, watched with a pleased smile, praising, “Hm, truly a wonderful firework!”
Looking towards Harribel’s direction, Gilgamesh’s eyes showed contemplation. Meanwhile, Yoruichi internally raged, ‘Firework? You call this a firework!?’
