[Royal Points: 19800, 19700, 19600]
[Reiatsu: 100, 200, 300]
As Gilgamesh continuously allocated points to his Reiatsu, he noticed changes in his body.
Although these changes were subtle, Gilgamesh could feel his body growing stronger.
This meant that Gilgamesh didn’t need to allocate points to strength or agility; he only needed to increase his Reiatsu.
As his Reiatsu increased, so did his physical attributes.
Gilgamesh understood this.
He was now in a spiritual state, and Reiatsu essentially represented the density of his soul.
The higher the Reiatsu, the denser the soul, and naturally, the stronger the soul’s power.
Additionally, Gilgamesh discovered that the ratio between Royal Points and Reiatsu was 1:1, meaning 1 Royal Point could increase 1 point of Reiatsu.
After increasing his Reiatsu to 10,000, Gilgamesh stopped and did not continue.
From his previous experiences, Gilgamesh hadn’t found a limit to how much he could increase his Reiatsu, nor did he notice any changes in the ratio.
Gilgamesh remembered that in the Bleach universe, Reiatsu had levels, from around one to twenty, with one being the highest.
For example, in the Gotei 13, regular members had Reiatsu around level twenty, seated officers ranged from eighteen to six, vice-captains were between five and four, and captains had at least level three Reiatsu.
Gilgamesh didn’t know which level his current 10,000 Reiatsu corresponded to.
Opening his attribute panel again, Gilgamesh checked his stats.
[Name: Gilgamesh
Character Template: Gilgamesh (Young)
Class: Archer
Reiatsu: 10,000
Spiritual Power: 0
Royal Points: 9900.]
This time, Gilgamesh noticed a new attribute on his panel: Spiritual Power.
Gilgamesh remembered that in the Bleach universe, the world was composed of spirit particles, including human souls.
Spiritual Power is the ability to manipulate these spirit particles.
Shinigami can manipulate their own spirit particles.
Quincy can manipulate external spirit particles.
For Shinigami, the higher the Reiatsu, the denser the soul, and the more spirit particles it can contain.
This means more spiritual power and greater strength.
Since Gilgamesh’s spiritual power was zero, it meant he had no spirit particles in his body.
This suggested that he might have soul-transferred here, so his soul wasn’t composed of spirit particles like in the Bleach universe.
Reflecting on this, Gilgamesh marveled at the Royal System’s power.
It granted him Reiatsu even without spirit particles.
Having Reiatsu meant his body could now contain spirit particles, thus possessing spiritual power.
After calming his thoughts, Gilgamesh carefully sensed his surroundings.
He detected the sparse spirit particles in the atmosphere.
Frowning slightly, Gilgamesh realized the spirit particles were too scarce.
With his new Reiatsu attribute, these particles would enter his body through breathing and be absorbed and stored, but due to their scarcity, Gilgamesh’s spiritual power remained zero.
Before he could think further, Renji Abarai and Rukia Kuchiki approached him.
Recognizing Gilgamesh’s Royal status and impressed by his strength, Renji and Rukia became more reserved in his presence.
They seemed to want to say something but hesitated.
Gilgamesh’s expression and tone remained unchanged as he said, “Don’t let my Royal status create barriers between us. You have my recognition. To me, you are both my subjects and my friends.”
Hearing this, Renji and Rukia sighed in relief and smiled.
Renji then said, “Let’s go. Let me, a seasoned guide of Rukongai, show you around.”
He added, “Rukongai is vast, so be prepared and don’t tire yourself halfway.”
Before Gilgamesh could respond, Rukia defended him, “Gil’s strength rivals heroes of epic tales. Worry about yourself not getting exhausted.”
Renji glared at Rukia, feeling indignant, while Rukia returned the glare, unyielding.
This was their usual interaction, which Gilgamesh found amusing, making him laugh.
Renji and Rukia, though unsure why Gilgamesh laughed, were infected by his laughter and joined in.
Moments later, Renji and Rukia took Gilgamesh on a tour of Rukongai.
“We were in a remote area of Rukongai. Beyond that lies the 79th district of South Rukongai, a place with harsh conditions and chaos.
“Rumor has it that many ruthless killers reside there, and corpses are common sights. It’s terrifying, so avoid that area.
“We came here because we heard of precious water resources, but it might have been a trap set by those five we encountered. They wanted to lure people here to rob and kill.”
Listening to Renji, Gilgamesh seemed thoughtful.
If he remembered correctly, Rukongai had 320 districts, divided into East, West, South, and North. Each sector had 80 districts.
The 1st district of each sector had the best security and living conditions, while the 80th district was barren and filled with violence.
As the district number increased, security and living conditions worsened.
Most souls didn’t need solid food, only spirit particles and water to survive.
Souls without spiritual power wouldn’t feel hunger, so most areas of Rukongai had no food.
However, souls like Renji and Rukia, with higher spiritual power, couldn’t sustain themselves on spirit particles alone and would starve, sometimes fatally.
From the 78th district onwards, water was scarce and became a target for theft and sale.
This was why Renji and Rukia risked coming here.
In stark contrast was the Seireitei.
Some called Rukongai the proof of the Soul Society’s sins, a living hell.
But for Gilgamesh, this was an opportunity.
He needed subjects and Royal Points, and the more chaotic the place, the better he could exert his influence.
At that moment, Gilgamesh had an idea.
If the Gotei 13 only protected Seireitei and ignored Rukongai, why not govern it himself?
He could establish a kingdom in Rukongai, make all its souls his subjects, and gain Royal Points.
He would bear their sufferings as their king.
