He had killed the mansion’s guards. His daughter’s death was their failure, and they had no knowledge of the events—an unforgivable offense. Therefore, he purged the mansion’s guards and replaced them with new ones.
After giving instructions, God Monarch Tiange flew around, spreading his powerful aura in all directions to find suspicious figures or outsiders.
“I can’t find anything. Tiange Mansion didn’t provoke any other factions…”
“The intruder must be skilled in assassination. They killed three Heaven Monarch guards without making a sound. Could it be a God Monarch?”

God Monarch Tiange continued to speculate about the true culprit. Everything had been done so stealthily that he had no leads. He could only search aimlessly, looking for any suspicious individuals.

He muttered to himself like a madman, searching. His daughter’s death was more than a loss; it was an affront to his authority. Someone dared to kill his daughter and many guards in his mansion, and he couldn’t stand it. He wanted to know who dared to defy him.
While he searched, Yi Tianyun roamed nearby, taking advantage of his Evil Spirit Puppet disguise. No matter how much God Monarch Tiange suspected his people, he couldn’t kill them all. These were royals, and killing a few might be acceptable, but random slaughter would provoke the other elders’ anger. These were their descendants; they wouldn’t allow indiscriminate killing.
Yi Tianyun surveyed the surrounding Evil Spirit Race members, his eyes growing colder. “One day, you’ll all pay for this!”
Knowing there were no more Divine Spirit Race members here, he flew away and returned to his residence. Staying outside for too long would arouse suspicion, so he released the captives once inside.
“Evil… Evil Spirit Race!?” Ji Tianze and the others were startled to see the Evil Spirit Puppets readying themselves for battle. They instinctively viewed any member of the Evil Spirit Race as an enemy.
“Don’t be alarmed; it’s just a puppet,” Ji Shuilian reassured them, though she, too, had initially been nervous.
“A puppet?” Ji Tianze examined the puppet closely and then looked at Yi Tianyun. “It’s so lifelike! The aura and appearance are indistinguishable from the real thing.”
“If it weren’t this convincing, I’d have been caught before rescuing you,” Yi Tianyun shrugged.
Ji Tianze’s eyes lit up. “Brother Tianyun, did you make this?”
They had chatted during their escape, and now they all knew Yi Tianyun’s name.
“Sort of,” Yi Tianyun replied. The puppet was indeed his creation, though it wasn’t a complex process. He simply fused materials together.
“That’s amazing! Brother Tianyun, can you teach me? I’ll do anything!” Ji Tianze was eager to learn, hoping to use the puppet to avenge his people and save others.
“Brother, don’t pester him. He created it, but he can’t explain how,” Ji Shuilian interjected.
“Indeed, if I could make another, I would,” Yi Tianyun admitted, scratching his head.
“Alright…” Ji Tianze said, disappointed. “But thank you, Brother Tianyun. Without you, we’d have died in Tiange Mansion and never seen my sister again.”
Ji Shuilian was equally grateful. Yi Tianyun had saved their lives.
“There’s no need to thank me now. Focus on rescuing your other clan members,” Yi Tianyun said. “Do you know how many are still trapped here?”
“Yes!” Ji Tianze said excitedly. “Many were captured when we couldn’t escape. Besides us, the elders and other members are held in one place. I heard they were to be offered up for something, but I don’t know the details.”
“Offered up?” Yi Tianyun’s eyes narrowed. “To the Four-Star Divine Domain or the Domain Lord?”
“Yes, I heard something about an offering, but I don’t know to whom. I don’t think they’ll be sent away quickly. They should still be in the dungeon!” Ji Tianze shook his head. “But I don’t know where they’re held.”
“Don’t worry. I can find them,” Yi Tianyun assured with a smile.
