Mosen left the bar, feeling pleased with himself for his small act of revenge. “Sure, you’re older, but that doesn’t mean you can call me small,” he thought. “Sometimes I wake up in the morning, and it feels like it’s ridiculously big.”
Inside the bar, Shakky watched Mosen disappear through the door, her cheerful expression becoming more serious. As a queen of information, she had a knack for reading people and situations, a skill that even Rayleigh respected.
Moreover, her Observation of Haki was highly refined. This young man’s strength was impressive, surprising even her. In recent years, the Marines and the pirates had not produced such an outstanding young figure.
Such a powerful young talent would undoubtedly become a prominent figure. Establishing a small connection now might yield benefits down the line.
Shakky pulled out a blank sheet of paper and a pen from beneath the bar and quickly sketched Mosen’s profile. Soon, a lifelike drawing of Mosen appeared with a few lines of text beneath it:
Name: Mosen
Height: 188-192 cm
Age: 16-18
Affiliation: First sighted on Sabaody Archipelago; possibly a Marine or World Government elite?
Swordsmanship: Strong (potentially a master swordsman)
Martial Arts: Strong (unknown style)
Haki: Unknown
Devil Fruit:? (possibly Paramecia-type)
Overall Combat Strength: Extremely strong, at least 200 million Beli…
The rest of the text blurred as Shakky carefully stored the paper away. If Mosen knew how much Shakky had deduced quickly, he wouldn’t have felt as pleased leaving the bar.
At the moment, Mosen was already feeling less cheerful. The reality of the lawless area hit him as he faced four attacks in the short distance between three trees. The presence of so many rampant slave traders indicated just how corrupt the so-called World Nobles were.
Thankfully, he had never encountered one. If he did, there might be a day he got so angry he would end up killing a couple of them, which would be quite troublesome.
Mosen shook his head, dispelling the thought of being chased by that perverted older man, Kizaru. The 9GR red tree was now in sight.
Underneath the red tree was a neglected area, not as orderly as the regular zones and nothing like the Marine and World Government stations. Finding a pirate crew’s hideout in a small area like this wasn’t difficult.
Mosen didn’t need much effort to locate the Bondy Pirates in the corner of the rundown buildings. As a pirate crew with a bounty exceeding 200 million Beli, they had attracted many ‘hyenas’ over the past few days. Fortunately, they had the strength to fend them off, although they had lost several lower-level crew members.
When Mosen arrived, the slave traders had already given up, knowing this was a tough nut to crack.
“Hey, kid, this is the Bondy Pirates’ territory, not a place for a brat like you,” said one of the guards as Mosen approached.
“I’m here to see your captain, ‘Beast’ Bondy. I have a big business deal to discuss. You’re not in charge,” Mosen replied calmly.
His impressive demeanor clearly indicated he wasn’t a mere ‘hyena,’ which is why the guards didn’t attack immediately.
The lead guard gave Mosen a fierce look, warning him not to try anything. “Keep an eye on him. I’ll report to the captain.”
Soon, a commotion erupted from the old building, and a large, ugly man in a rough fur coat emerged. The man exuded a foul stench that made Mosen step back a few paces.
“So, kid, you’re the one looking to do business with me? You’ve got guts for someone so tender-looking!” the man sneered, his breath reeking.
Confirming the man’s identity with the bounty notice, Mosen saw that the main targets were all present. There was no need to waste words on someone who didn’t care about personal hygiene.
“Disgusting,” Mosen muttered. “Hopefully, your ship isn’t as filthy, because it’s about to become mine.”
As Mosen pulled out the bounty notice, Bondy realized what was happening and prepared to attack. “You’re a bounty hunter? I’ll tear you apart!”
Both sides moved almost simultaneously, but the pirates were too slow. The lower-ranked guards couldn’t react, and even Bondy, with his 95 million Beli bounty, was too slow. His steel claws had barely extended when a blade flashed, and his forward-leaning body froze before collapsing, bleeding profusely.
The first mate didn’t fare any better. None of them had taken the young man seriously, grinning savagely before suddenly going still. The grin remained fixed on their faces as they fell.
Mosen sheathed his sword. Only the shipwright, who could modify ships, was left alive among the seven pirates in front of the building.
Dozens of pirates inside the building stared in shock. Their captain, whom they thought invincible, had been taken down in a single strike, as had the first mate with a bounty over 50 million.
Mosen turned to the shipwright, his expression calm. “You’re the captain now. Sail me to my destination, and I’ll set everyone free. Any objections?”
The shipwright swallowed hard, suppressing his fear. Though he was a skilled craftsman, he wasn’t much of a fighter, and his high bounty was due to his ship modifications. Naturally, he dared not oppose Mosen.
“Understood, sir!”
Mosen then addressed the remaining pirates. “And you?”
Many of them nearly wet themselves in fear. As ruthless pirates, they were now lambs to the slaughter.
“No objections.”
“We’ll follow your orders.”
With the ship secured, Mosen ordered the disposal of Bondy’s closest followers and left the shipwright in charge. He had the pirates clean the boat thoroughly, chose the cleanest room, and had them gather Bondy’s treasure on the deck.
“These treasures will be distributed by the shipwright. Anyone who disobeys my orders will end up like Bondy,” Mosen declared.
Ignoring their reactions, he handed over command to the shipwright and returned to his room.
“Finish quickly, then set sail!”
