Daily Life in One Piece Chapter 67

Magma

Beside him, Vincent and Leaf finally snapped out of their stunned state. They both ran towards Mosen, concerned.

“Mosen big brother, are you alright?”

“Brother, are you okay?”

Their voices overlapped, and Mosen felt a warmth in his heart.

Can’t you both see that your handsome brother easily turned that older man into a dog?

Just as he was about to show off, he noticed something, and his eyes widened in rage.

“Old bastard, you’re courting death!”

In Mosen’s view, Risti had picked up a huge rock and hurled it with tremendous force. The rock hurtled through the air with an ear-piercing whistle. Though it was aimed at Mosen, Vincent and Leaf were directly in its path.

If that rock landed, the two kids wouldn’t stand a chance.

Mosen pushed them aside but had no time to dodge himself.

He spread his arms wide, but the massive rock collided with him before he could brace himself.

Bang…

The giant rock, propelled by immense momentum, struck him hard. Mosen’s outstretched arms first absorbed the impact, but it wasn’t enough to stop the rock mid-air. The uneven rock smashed into his chest, emitting a dull thud.

Mosen was pushed back about ten meters by the force.

His chest churned with pain, but he didn’t have time to react before his Observation Haki sensed danger.

Paper Drawing

In a split second, Mosen shifted his body. Just then, a blackened fist smashed into his back.

Ugh…

Mosen couldn’t help but spit out a mouthful of blood, which splattered on the rock. Even though he managed to avoid a critical hit to his heart, the injury was still severe.

Stopping himself, Mosen flickered and disappeared. Another Armament Haki-covered fist smashed the airborne rock into pieces.

If Mosen hadn’t dodged that punch, his injuries would have been far worse, possibly even fatal.

“Damn brat, I’m not that easy to take down. Now you see my power, hahaha.” Risti’s crazed laughter echoed from behind the rubble.

Mosen stood across from him, forcefully swallowing the blood rising in his throat.

His face turned icy cold, devoid of his usual friendliness.

His eyes remained calm, but deep within, a murderous intent surged.

Who would have thought that even in Marine Headquarters, he could get seriously injured? That punch aimed at his heart wasn’t just a simple attack.

What was even more intolerable was that this maniac didn’t care about the lives of the two kids.

Mosen didn’t understand how someone like this became a brigadier general and didn’t care to know.

All he knew was that this was the first Marine he wanted to kill since arriving in this world, even if the man was a brigadier general.

Even if he was half a rank higher than him.

Taking a deep breath to calm the churning in his chest, Mosen sneered. In the next moment, Paper Kite was already over Risti’s head.

No more holding back.

Being lenient to people like this was a fool’s errand.

The crazed older man raised his arm to block but was too slow.

Mosen changed his stance mid-air, slashing diagonally instead of chopping. The blade sang as it scraped across Risti’s chest.

Drawing back, Mosen frowned.

Without Armament Haki, his swordsmanship hadn’t reached the level to cut through high-level Armament Haki, especially one as refined as Risti’s.

It was time to get a sharper blade.

The thought flashed as Mosen defied the laws of inertia and stopped moving backwards.

Shave

Mosen’s speed increased, and his Devil Fruit power enhanced slightly, pushing the surrounding air away.

Though Risti had strong Armament and Observation Haki, he was old, and his stamina waned.

In an instant, Mosen’s figure appeared everywhere around him.

Risti’s body was already covered with numerous cuts, his slow reactions unable to keep up.

Though the wounds were shallow due to his tight muscles and Armament Haki, the sheer number of them was overwhelming.

Had Risti not instinctively protected his vital areas, he would have been defeated by now.

The two kids, pushed away by Mosen, had retreated far from the fight. Seeing Mosen injured had scared them, but now, seeing him gain the upper hand, they relaxed a bit.

They watched the battle intently, partly out of worry for Mosen and partly because witnessing such a high-level fight was invaluable for them.

Vincent especially hated always being protected by his brother and feeling like a burden.

As Risti grew more desperate, his movements became wild and erratic, filled with meaningless roars.

Their surroundings were destroyed, and several nearby buildings were even damaged by Risti.

By now, many Marine soldiers had gathered nearby, some shouting for them to stop.

Mosen ignored them.

He was determined to teach this older man a lesson.

As far as he was concerned, today, he was deaf and blind.

It must be said that these Marine officers who had fought on the front lines for decades had honed their battle skills to the extreme.

If it weren’t for his incredible battle experience, Mosen would have cut him down long ago.

But finally, after prolonged combat, Risti’s stamina flagged, and his movements became shaky.

Swish…

Mosen seized the moment, thrusting his sword at a small opening in Risti’s defence.

If not for Risti’s quick reaction, tightening his muscles and covering the area with Armament Haki, Mosen would have pierced his liver, leaving him bedridden for the rest of his life.

Withdrawing his blade, Mosen struck again.

Strike while the iron is hot.

Mosen’s battles were straightforward; he never wasted time with unnecessary chatter.

Badly wounded, Risti was now in real trouble. He could barely last a few more moves.

Gone was his earlier arrogance. Though his eyes were still red, he was now covered in cuts and dust, looking utterly pathetic.

But who could he blame?

After dozens of intense exchanges, Risti’s arm lagged slightly due to his abdominal injury.

Another opening appeared.

Mosen’s Paper Kite whistled through the air, aiming straight for Risti’s chest.

Suddenly,

Mosen’s senses tingled with danger.

Forgetting about Risti, he flickered away just in time.

A mass of magma crashed down where he had just stood, creating a large crater.

Sakazuki had arrived.
