The Cycle of Time (Part 1)
…
“I didn’t expect this! Damn it!” Sidra’s expression fluctuated wildly. “Mohito, tell me, how do I fix this? I truly only wanted to help train Broly and Buu! I never intended to kill them! Besides, I know they’ll never admit to being involved in Muse’s death! No one would be foolish enough to confess! Those two may be trainee Gods of Destruction, but they’re not idiots, even if they’re not fully matured!”
Mohito listened patiently but remained silent.
“Mohito, please, tell me how to solve this!” Sidra was getting frantic.
“First, we need to find Ren and Merus,” Mohito said thoughtfully. “If we can locate them, have the Supreme Kai retrieve them, and then bring them to Broly, we might be able to mend things as best we can.”
“Start looking now! See where they’ve been transported!” Sidra urged.
“I’m already on it,” Mohito replied calmly.
Meanwhile, Mule glanced at Sidra, then at the rapidly retreating Broly, his eyes full of cold malice.
Mule wanted to chase Sidra, but doing so would mean losing the chance to effectively kill Broly.
Without further hesitation, Mule directed Mosco to pursue Broly.
Mosco’s speed was incredibly fast, leaving a trail of purple-red light in the vast cosmos as he pushed himself to the limit.
As Broly flew, he spotted a massive asteroid field ahead.
Taking the opportunity, Broly quickly hid his energy and concealed himself among the asteroids, blending in to avoid detection.
However, it wasn’t long before Mosco arrived at the asteroid field. He scanned the area, a smug smile forming on his mechanical face.
“Do you really think hiding your energy means I can’t find you?” Mule’s voice was mocking.
“Bzzt, bzzt!” Mosco’s mechanical voice echoed.
“Sure, hiding your energy might make it hard for me to locate you,” Mule said, casting a glance at one of the asteroids. “But don’t forget, Mosco is a God of Destruction, and an ultra-intelligent robot at that. With basic infrared technology, we can pinpoint your exact location.”
As he spoke, Mosco slowly raised his hand.
Zwoosh!
A blast of purple-red energy shot from Mosco’s hand, targeting the spot where Broly was hiding.
Broly’s face paled as the imminent sense of death washed over him.
At the critical moment, Broly leaped to the side, narrowly dodging the destructive blast.
Whoosh!
Mosco followed up with lightning speed, delivering a heavy punch directly to Broly’s chest.
Gah!
Blood spewed from Broly’s mouth.
Initially, Broly’s fusion with Majin Buu had pushed his power level to around 50.5, slightly above Mosco’s previous strength.
But now, Mosco had unleashed his true power, raising his strength to an overwhelming level of 53.
Despite the recent fights, Broly, though having been reborn from near death several times, seemed to have reached his limit. The exponential increase in strength was no longer as significant as before.
Smack!
Mosco’s robotic hand grabbed Broly by the head.
Beep, beep!
Mosco’s eyes scanned Broly’s entire body.
Splat!
Mosco’s other hand thrust forward, piercing Broly’s chest.
“Ugh…” Broly cried out in agony.
Rummage!
Mosco’s mechanical hand fumbled inside Broly’s body, pulling out the remaining five Senzu Beans.
“So, it’s these beans that restore your strength and energy?” Mule sneered coldly.
“Bzzt!” Mosco tossed the beans into his mouth.
However, the Senzu Beans didn’t enter Mosco’s body. Instead, they fell into Mule’s hands.
Mule caught the beans, popping one into his mouth, biting down, and swallowing.
In an instant, Mule’s injuries healed completely, and his energy surged back to its peak.
“Incredible beans!” Mule looked down at his body, even noticing that the parts he had lost earlier had fully regenerated.
Bam!
Broly gritted his teeth, using his regeneration to restore his body before launching a punch at Mosco’s chest.
Mosco’s body trembled slightly but remained completely unharmed.
“Still trying to resist? With your meager energy, you think you can defeat a God of Destruction like me?” Mule’s mocking laughter grew even colder.
“Bzzt!” Mosco echoed.
“Tell me! Did you kill my son?!” Mule roared, letting go of Broly’s head and grabbing him by the collar.
Spit!
Broly spat a mouthful of bloody saliva at Mosco.
Fizzle!
Before the saliva could land, it evaporated from the energy surrounding Mosco’s body.
“Do you think this is a playground fight, spitting at your enemy?” Mule laughed coldly and punched Broly squarely in the nose.
Broly’s nose caved in, and several of his teeth were knocked loose.
“What’s wrong? Can’t you regenerate anymore? Go ahead, show me your regeneration powers!” Mule’s face twisted with malice.
Broly’s regeneration had significantly slowed. Though he had Majin Buu’s ability to heal, the severity of his injuries was overwhelming.
“Tell me, did you kill my son?!” Mule’s eyes glowed with deadly intent.
Broly remained silent, struggling to free himself.
“Since you won’t talk, I guess I’ll just destroy you. This armor will serve as the perfect evidence!” Mule said without hesitation, placing his right hand on Broly’s chest.
Broly’s face contorted, struggling even more.
“Hakai!”
Mosco’s hand flared with Destruction Energy, and purple-red light enveloped Broly’s body.
Snap!
In mere moments, Broly’s body began to disintegrate, crumbling away like a soap bubble.
Within three seconds, Broly had completely vanished into nothingness.
When the chaos settled, only a single red piece of armor remained.
The red armor floated in space, flickering with faint light, having lost its vitality from the previous battle.
Clank!
Mosco’s chest compartment opened.
“Hmph!” Mule snorted and flew out of Mosco’s body, grabbing the red armor in his hands and inspecting it closely.
However, Mule couldn’t determine if the armor had been crafted from Luke’s remains.
“I’m sure the Grand Priest will deliver justice!” Mule said coldly. “Even if I can’t tell, the Grand Priest surely can. I was simply avenging my son! I didn’t do anything too extreme to those two angels. I’m in the right here! They were the ones who killed my son first!” Mule gritted his teeth and sighed deeply. “Son, I’ve finally avenged you!”
Just then, Mule noticed a strange button on the red armor.
“What’s this?” Mule was puzzled and pressed the button.
Whoosh!
In the blink of an eye, the red armor shrank and transformed into a wristwatch.
Mule was taken aback. “What a curious transformation. Which universe’s technology is this? It’s incredibly advanced, able to compress armor into a watch!”
Mule took the watch and slipped it into Mosco’s body.
“Hakai!”
Mosco waved his hand again, obliterating the nearby asteroids.
The universe fell eerily silent.

The Cycle of Time (Part 2)
…
Universe 6, Space
Whoosh!
In an instant, Ren and Merus were transported to this region of space.
Neither Ren nor Merus was harmed by the journey.
The two exchanged a quick glance.
“What was that just now?” Ren’s face darkened.
“His energy was too strong; it tore open a dimensional pathway, sending us to another universe,” Merus furrowed his brow and pointed at his staff.
Zap!
A surge of invisible angelic power shot into Ren’s staff.
Ren immediately tossed the staff to Merus.
Merus inspected the staff carefully before saying, “We’ve been sent to Universe 6!”
“How long will it take us to fly back?” Ren’s face shifted.
“From here to Universe 9? At our speed, at least two days!” Merus replied grimly.
“Contact Mosco immediately! Tell him to behave himself!” Ren’s eyes narrowed.
Merus nodded seriously, using his staff to contact Mosco.
“Mosco!” Merus spoke heavily. “What are you trying to do?”
As he spoke, the crystal ball on Merus’ staff projected an image, forming a scene.
In the image, Mosco and Mule stood together.
“Ah, Merus. What’s the matter?” Mule asked mockingly, his gaze taunting.
“Where are Broly and Buu?” Merus asked urgently.
“Well… we had a great fight and got to know each other. They told me they were hungry and wanted to head back to find you guys for a meal.” Mule chuckled, then, with a hint of apology, added, “Sorry about earlier. I accidentally used a big attack that sent you both into another universe. I hope you don’t mind!”
Ren squinted, glancing at the area around Mule, noticing the empty starfield.
Aside from Mosco and Mule, there wasn’t even an asteroid in sight.
Something’s not right!
Ren felt an unsettling sense of foreboding.
It’s too quiet!
His gut told him something was very wrong.
“I’m truly sorry. Earlier, I was blinded by hatred… I thought it was Broly or Buu who killed my son. Now I realize it was all a misunderstanding,” Mule said, his acting flawless, even showing a sincere look of apology as he spoke.
“No problem… as long as the misunderstanding is resolved,” Merus shook his head, not holding any grudges.
Deep down, Merus still felt a tinge of guilt.
After all, it was true that his son had been killed by them.
With Mule saying this, it made Merus feel a little embarrassed.
However, Merus was keen enough to sense that things weren’t as simple as they appeared.
“Broly and Buu are together, right? Are they on their way back?” Merus asked.
“Yes, they’re on their way back soon. No need to worry, it’s all just a misunderstanding!” Mule continued to show deep remorse. “I’m really sorry, Merus, Ren. I acted too impulsively earlier! You know what they say… impulsive actions come with consequences. Yes, this is one of those consequences! I’ll make sure to personally apologize properly some other day.”
“No need, let’s just leave it at that for now,” Merus replied and quickly ended the conversation.
As an angel, Merus sensed that something wasn’t right; things definitely didn’t seem as simple as they looked on the surface.
“Merus, you’ve realized something’s off too, right?” Ren, noticing Merus’ tense expression, asked as he raised his hand, conjuring a sphere of angelic power.
Merus nodded seriously, but he couldn’t quite pinpoint what exactly was wrong.
Where did the problem lie?
“I tried reaching Broly using our device, but I couldn’t get through,” Ren said in a deep voice as he waved his hand, using his angelic power to search for Broly’s location.
“I’ll try contacting Buu,” Merus replied and attempted to reach Majin Buu.
Every angel had their own unique way of contacting their respective God of Destruction.
Soon, Merus realized he had lost contact with Majin Buu as well.
“I can’t reach Buu either!” Merus frowned, his anxiety growing.
Smack!
Merus swung his staff, sending a beam of angelic energy into the crystal ball atop Ren’s staff.
The two different angelic energies intertwined, and they began to systematically search the entire Ninth Universe for any signs of Broly or Majin Buu.
Time ticked by.
Ren and Merus searched the Ninth Universe thoroughly but found no trace of Broly or Majin Buu.
“Could they have left the Ninth Universe and gone to another one?” Merus muttered.
“Merus, the Cycle of Time… how far back can you reverse time?” Ren suddenly asked.
“Cycle of Time? You’ve already mastered that?” Merus was slightly taken aback before quickly responding, “I’m not skilled enough yet; I can only rewind up to one minute. Why do you ask this suddenly? Could it be…”
As he spoke, Merus’ eyes flashed with understanding, realizing what Ren was getting at.
“It’s possible that Broly and Buu have already been destroyed!” Ren said in a grave tone. “He’s been stalling for time. By the time we arrive, more than a minute will have passed!”
“He… you think he destroyed Broly and Buu? Without evidence, he wouldn’t dare do such a thing!” Merus shook his head but added, “However, we can use the Cycle of Time to check. I can rewind time by one minute! But first, we need to get to where they were.”
“Vados!” Ren didn’t hesitate and immediately called for Vados.
At the same time, the angelic power Ren had released earlier flickered and projected Vados’ beautiful face.
“My, my… isn’t it Ren and Merus? You’re in the Sixth Universe?” Vados blinked her lovely eyes, looking in their direction.
Ren glanced at Vados and noticed she was eating something.
And it seemed like Vados was… on Earth!
At Bulma’s house!
What a foodie!
The moment we transferred her to Earth, she’s already freeloading for food.
Also, Vados didn’t seem to have brought Champa along.
Is she eating alone?
Ren even noticed Bulma chatting with Vados on the side.
Ren didn’t have time to care about what Vados was doing and urgently said, “Please contact the Supreme Kai from our universe and have him come to my location to send Merus and me to the Ninth Universe.”
“What’s going on?” Vados realized something was off from the tone in Ren’s eyes.
“Broly and Buu may be in danger,” Ren said sternly.
“I’ll be there immediately,” Vados nodded. “I’ll ask the Supreme Kai to send me over as well. Please wait a moment.”
The call ended, and within 10 seconds—
Whoosh!
The Sixth Universe’s Supreme Kai, Fuwa, used Instant Transmission to appear at Ren and Merus’ side, with Vados in tow.
“Let’s skip the pleasantries. Supreme Kai, please take us to the Ninth Universe, now!” Ren commanded Fuwa firmly.
Vados glanced in the direction they were heading but couldn’t discern anything immediately.
“Understood,” Fuwa obediently agreed.
“Kai Kai!”
Fuwa used Instant Transmission again, and in the blink of an eye, they appeared near Mosco.
Seeing Ren and Merus reappear, now with Vados and an additional Supreme Kai, Mule silently calculated the time and let out a faint smile.
“Ah… Ren, Merus, why are you back? Broly and Buu have already left. Did you get in touch with them?” Mule asked, approaching them.
“Merus, Vados, can your Cycle of Time abilities be combined?” Ren asked without hesitation.
“I can, but Merus can’t,” Vados said with a smile.
Merus: “…”
“Y-Yes, I’m not skilled enough yet, so I can’t combine our abilities,” Merus nodded. “But Sister Vados can take over from my Cycle of Time and extend it up to three minutes.”
“That’s right, I can rewind time up to three minutes, but that’s the limit!” Vados confirmed.
“You’d better not lie to me,” Ren said coldly, staring at Mule.
“What are you talking about? Isn’t that the Sixth Universe’s Vados and Supreme Kai?” Mule responded calmly, not at all intimidated. “I get it, you don’t trust me, so you want to use the Cycle of Time? Go ahead, I’ll cooperate fully!”
After saying that, Mule unhurriedly entered Mosco’s body.
Mosco flexed his arms, pounding his chest with a resounding metallic clang.
Vados remained silent, giving Mosco a deep look as if trying to see through him.
“I’ll go first,” Merus took a deep breath and raised his staff.
