Dragon Ball: I Will Become an Angel As a Saiyan Chapter 143

Exquisite: Let me go! Let me out!

Exquisite: Let me go! Let me out! (Part 1)

Ren carefully searched for a while, using his staff as an amplifier to scan the planet thoroughly.

After about ten minutes, he stopped at a particular spot.

“It doesn’t seem like there’s anyone here… Did I imagine it? Maybe I’m just not used to my body now that I’ve become an angel,” Ren muttered to himself. “But I can sense a lot of angelic power on this planet… If I absorbed it and purified it, would my angelic energy purity reach 70?”

An idea struck Ren, and without hesitation, he raised his staff high.

“Absorb!” he commanded, letting the word slip from his mouth.

The moment he spoke, the staff began absorbing the angelic energy from the planet at a frantic pace. An invisible storm seemed to rise up, pulling the scattered cosmic essence—those radiant light particles—into the staff’s crystal orb.

“W-Wait a second!” A panicked voice suddenly rang out—Exquisite’s voice.

What are you doing? Are you trying to absorb me?

“Hmm?” Ren looked around. “Strange… I heard that voice again. What’s going on? This is bad… Maybe I’m still not fully in sync with my angel body.”

“Ahh…”

The next moment, Ren heard the scream of a girl, as if she was being sucked into the staff.

Snap!

In an instant, the girl’s voice seemed to enter Ren’s body through the staff.

Whoosh!

Exquisite’s essence merged with Ren’s body.

“Ugh…” Ren groaned.

This was a strange feeling. What just happened?

It felt like a girl rushed into me… and then…

The imagery in his mind was too bizarre.

Ren, not wanting to take any chances, quickly inspected his body.

When he looked inward, he discovered something unusual deep within himself—a girl, stunningly beautiful to the extreme.

She had a perfect figure, her face radiated beauty, and she had long, silver-white hair. She was only the size of a thumb and held a staff in her hand. A light blue halo rested around her neck.

Ren: “???”

Ren studied the girl closely.

Isn’t she an angel?

How rare… Her skin color is almost like mine.

“Let me out!” Exquisite, now embarrassed and angry, glared at Ren.

“You’re not silent anymore?” Ren asked with a sly smile.

Exquisite: “…”

She was at a loss for words.

“I wasn’t silent, just… too weak to speak properly,” Exquisite weakly explained.

“You really do seem weak, like you could break with just a touch,” Ren admitted after examining her closely.

Exquisite bit her lips and remained silent.

“What’s your name, little angel?” Ren asked, intrigued.

“Exquisite,” she answered.

“I remember now. Vados mentioned you before. So, you’re the famous Exquisite,” Ren realized. “The angel of the Eighteenth Universe who loved her universe so much that she vanished along with it…”

Ren looked her up and down.

The name suits her… She really is as delicate and exquisite as her name suggests.

Her figure is amazing!

“Let me out,” Exquisite repeated, sticking to her request.

“You’re too weak. If I let you out, how long would it take for you to recover? In your current state, being able to maintain human form for two hours a day would be a miracle,” Ren remarked.

“That’s true…” Exquisite nodded lightly.

“Even if you recover your human form, you wouldn’t be able to leave this planet in such a weakened state, would you?” Ren pressed.

Exquisite remained silent.

Since the Eighteenth Universe began to recover, Exquisite had slowly been regaining strength alongside it. But she was still too frail to leave this white planet. She could only wander here, feeling the deep loneliness that came with it.

“Why is your name like that? Angel names usually follow a certain pattern,” Ren asked curiously.

“The naming system malfunctioned and gave me this name…” Exquisite admitted.

“Funny coincidence. I’m a Saiyan, and our naming system malfunctioned too. That’s how I got my name,” Ren laughed. “Looks like we’re connected by fate.”

Exquisite: “…”

“Since we’re so connected, I’ve decided to nourish you with my essence,” Ren announced, making a tough decision. “After all, we angels should help each other, right?”

Exquisite was speechless.

His words were touching, but why did something feel off?

“Thank you…” Exquisite whispered softly.

“On one condition—if nourishing you affects my own angelic energy in any way, I’ll throw you out,” Ren warned.

Exquisite: “…”

That just ruined the moment.

“Then maybe you should let me out now…” Exquisite muttered, laughing to herself.

“Are you sure?” Ren asked.

Exquisite nodded.

Without further hesitation, Ren waved his staff gently.

Whoosh!

In an instant, Exquisite was released from the staff by Ren.

Snap!

A beautiful, tangible figure appeared before them, exactly like the girl Ren had seen within his body. Only this time, she was restored to her full height.

Broly and Majin Buu, seeing the sudden appearance of this angel, stared in surprise, exchanging confused glances.

“Thank you,” Exquisite said softly.

“No problem,” Ren waved it off.

“Well, I’ll be going now…” Exquisite gave Ren one last deep look.

“Let’s go, Broly, Buu. We’re off to Earth for a feast,” Ren said, ready to take off.

Exquisite’s eyes sparkled upon hearing about the feast.

A feast?

Exquisite glanced up at the vast void of the sky and then down at the barren white planet. A sense of loneliness crept over her.

“Take me with you,” she said, and before Ren could respond, she transformed into radiant particles and merged back into his body.

Ren: “…”

Was that polite?

“Who was it that wanted to leave just now?” Ren grumbled.

“Let’s forget about the past,” Exquisite giggled.

“I’m warning you—if you weaken my angelic energy, I’ll absorb you completely!” Ren threatened, giving her a heads-up.

“I won’t weaken your angelic energy. In fact, I’ll help you cultivate a new Destroyer and Supreme Kai even faster,” Exquisite reassured him, then paused for a moment before adding, “a new one.”

“Seems like you know quite a bit. You’re aware that I’m a Saiyan who became an angel, right?” Ren asked.

“I know… I also know you were an apprentice angel of the Eighteenth Universe,” Exquisite replied.

“The Eighteenth Universe doesn’t have much. Should I switch to another one?” Ren murmured, feeling slightly tempted.

Exquisite chose not to respond.

“We’ll think about that later. For now, let’s go get some good food,” Ren grinned, lightly tapping his staff on the ground as it began to glow.

Exquisite: Let me go! Let me out! (Part 2)

“Hey, Broly, that woman just entered Ren’s body,” Buu whispered, tapping Broly on the shoulder.

Broly nodded thoughtfully.

“Kind of like how you entered my body that one time,” Buu added.

Broly: “…”

Broly almost gagged.

“Can you stop being disgusting?” Broly glared at Majin Buu.

Majin Buu: “???”

When did I disgust you?

Whoosh!

Ren transformed into a dazzling streak of light, like a shooting star, as he entered the Null Realm, speeding toward the Sixth Universe.

Upon entering the Sixth Universe’s space, Exquisite took a deep breath.

“The smell of the cosmic sky is just so refreshing,” Exquisite remarked with awe.

“That’s not the scent of the cosmic sky, that’s my body’s scent,” Ren commented through his internal communication with Exquisite.

Exquisite: “…”

You just ruined my good mood…

“Can you not talk?” Exquisite shot a glare at Ren.

“And you dare to talk to me like that while you’re inside my body?” Ren laughed. “I could throw you out right now, you know…”

Exquisite was speechless for a moment.

“We’re both angels; there’s no need for us to be hostile… Angels should live in harmony,” Exquisite finally muttered weakly.

Back in the Sixth Universe, on Earth.

Goku was soaring through the blue sky on his Flying Nimbus, with Piccolo flying close by his side.

“We’re approaching the target. Let’s find a place to land,” Goku said, looking at the Dragon Radar before glancing at Piccolo.

“Let’s charge right in,” Piccolo suggested.

Goku paused for a moment.

“That guy has some strange device that can track our location and measure our power levels,” Piccolo explained.

“So, he must already know we’re coming,” Goku realized.

“Without a doubt,” Piccolo nodded.

“Looks like we have no choice but to confront him head-on,” Goku gritted his teeth.

Meanwhile, Raditz had thrown Gohan into his spaceship, leaving the boy crying uncontrollably inside.

“Ugh, so annoying, crying all the time. You’re such a pathetic Saiyan,” Raditz shook his head. “I should go find something to eat.”

Just then, Raditz noticed something on his scouter.

“Warning! Power level 710, nearby!” Raditz’s face paled slightly. “Who? Who’s coming? Could it be Ren? No, Ren’s power level wouldn’t show up on the scouter! And Broly’s power level is way higher than that!”

Raditz quickly tracked the source of the power level through his scouter, glancing suspiciously at his spaceship.

“This must be a joke! Is it… Kakarot’s kid?” Raditz was stunned. “Ridiculous, it has to be a malfunction. It scared me for a second!”

He pressed a few buttons on the scouter, trying to contact Vegeta and Nappa.

“Prince Vegeta, Nappa, can you hear me?” Raditz asked. “I’ve made it to Earth, but something strange is going on here…”

About ten seconds later.

“We can hear you… though the signal isn’t great,” Vegeta’s voice came through faintly.

“Huh? Prince Vegeta! You can hear me? I thought I lost contact!” Raditz said excitedly. “I found Kakarot, and his power level is still lower than mine! How could he possibly be your lifelong rival?”

“Hmph, I knew it would be like that. My power level hasn’t increased much in recent years, but with a power level of 18,000, I can still dominate this universe,” Vegeta sneered.

“Hahaha, exactly!” Raditz laughed in agreement.

However, the signal cut off again after only a few more words.

Unable to reconnect, Raditz shook his head in frustration.

At that moment, his scouter once again picked up Gohan’s power level reading of 710.

“There it is again! Must be another malfunction,” Raditz sighed. “I’d better finish up here quickly and return to get this scouter fixed.”

Beep! Beep!

Suddenly, the scouter detected another signal, this time approaching his location.

“Another reading, heading this way,” Raditz muttered, puzzled. “Two power levels: 322 and 334. One of them matches Kakarot’s power level! This doesn’t make sense. Kakarot wouldn’t come here; he knows he stands no chance of winning. And how would he even know where I landed? This scouter is really broken…”

As Raditz muttered to himself, he looked up and saw Goku and Piccolo descending from the sky.

“This is real?” Raditz’s face contorted in confusion. He quickly glanced back at his spaceship.

Something’s definitely wrong… How could Kakarot’s son have a power level of 710?

Thud!

Goku and Piccolo landed, standing face-to-face with Raditz.

“So, the other one is you,” Raditz sneered, casting a condescending look at Piccolo. “Didn’t I scare you half to death last time?”

Piccolo remained silent, his expression cold.

“How did you know I was here?” Raditz asked curiously.

“I’m not telling you that,” Goku replied, shaking his head.

“Alright then, one more question—what are you here for?” Raditz continued.

“Isn’t it obvious? I’m here to get my son back!” Goku shouted, his eyes fixating on the spaceship behind Raditz.

Since Raditz had arrived on the Earth of the Sixth Universe through a vortex from the Seventh Universe, his spaceship hadn’t left any noticeable crater. As a result, Goku quickly spotted the spherical spaceship where Gohan was pounding on the inside walls, crying his heart out.

However, the spaceship’s soundproofing was so effective that Goku couldn’t hear a thing.

“So, you’ve decided not to join us?” Raditz smirked.

“Of course,” Goku nodded.

“You’re going to betray your own brother?” Raditz scoffed.

“I don’t have a brother like you!” Goku retorted.

“Kakarot, don’t be foolish. Do you really think Ren will protect you forever? I’m disappointed in you!” Raditz sneered, his mocking grin growing wider. “And you think the two of you together can defeat me?”

“Enough talk!” Piccolo said as he ripped off his cloak and tossed it aside with flair.

Clang!

The cloak hit the ground with the sound of heavy metal.

“Piccolo, you’ve been training with weights too?” Goku asked in surprise.

“Yeah, just like you,” Piccolo admitted, stretching his arms and body. “It’s been a while since I’ve felt this light.”

Raditz looked at Piccolo through his scouter and noticed his power level had risen to 408.

“Is that so? I’ll have to step it up too,” Goku said, removing his weighted clothes.

Raditz’s scouter registered Goku’s power level rising to 416.

“Hahaha! You really think that’s enough to beat me?” Raditz laughed loudly. “What a joke! You think a tiny boost in power will make a difference? You’re both idiots!”

“Victory isn’t just about power levels. We have a strategy to defeat you!” Goku clenched his fists.

“I’m done talking, Kakarot! You’re no longer worthy to be part of our group. You’re a disgrace to the Saiyans, and I’m going to kill you!” Raditz shouted.

Goku and Piccolo immediately prepared for battle.

Exquisite: Let me go! Let me out! (Part 3)

Whoosh!

Raditz charged forward, his figure blurring as he quickly appeared behind Goku and Piccolo, delivering a powerful elbow strike to both of them.

Goku and Piccolo were each hit, flipping over and landing awkwardly on the ground.

Both of them were shocked, staring at their terrifying opponent.

This guy is so fast!

“Your defense isn’t bad,” Raditz sneered. “But your deaths are just a matter of time. I’ll enjoy torturing you both slowly.”

Goku, now more alert, thought that if he could just grab Raditz’s tail, there might be hope of defeating him.

Piccolo, sweat beading on his forehead, clenched his teeth, looking more serious than ever.

“Oh right, before you die, let me share some good news,” Raditz said with a grin. “There are two other Saiyans, and their power levels are much higher than mine—by a lot!”

Goku was stunned.

Piccolo was equally shocked, both feeling a deep sense of despair.

“Hahaha, now you understand the power of the Saiyans?” Raditz laughed even more brightly.

“This is bad… there are two more Saiyans stronger than him!” Piccolo muttered, his face darkening. “We’re in serious trouble.”

“What about Ren? He’s strong too, right?” Goku asked through gritted teeth.

“I don’t know, but his little sidekick is really strong,” Raditz replied.

“Sidekick?” Goku was puzzled.

“You don’t need to know that much. After all, you’re about to die soon. If I told you everything, and you died of fright, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy tormenting you,” Raditz scoffed.

“Where’s my son? Is he inside that ship?” Goku shouted.

“Yes, that’s my space pod,” Raditz admitted.

“Hold on, Gohan, I’m coming to save you,” Goku said, taking a deep breath, his expression growing more serious.

“Hahaha, don’t get your hopes up. You think with your pitiful power level, you can rescue him?” Raditz sneered. “You’re both about to die here!”

“Alright then, let’s continue!” Goku said, clenching his fists.

Piccolo nodded and assumed a battle stance.

Without hesitation, the two rushed toward Raditz, launching a flurry of punches and kicks.

Raditz easily blocked all their attacks.

After a few rounds of exchanges:

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Goku and Piccolo moved behind Raditz in a flash.

“Behind me?” Raditz smirked and raised his legs, kicking both of them in the chest.

Goku and Piccolo landed, quickly springing back toward Raditz.

Raditz ascended into the sky, spreading his arms wide.

Goku and Piccolo missed, looked up, and charged at him again.

Raditz, meanwhile, gathered energy in his hands, shooting out two bright energy blasts.

“Watch out!” Goku yelled, dodging frantically.

Piccolo’s face twisted in panic, but there was no escape.

Boom!

Piccolo’s arm was instantly obliterated by the powerful blast.

The explosion sent shockwaves across the area, tossing both fighters around like ragdolls.

Goku landed roughly, immediately scanning the sky for Raditz.

“I’m behind you,” Raditz said with a sinister grin.

Goku’s expression darkened.

Bam!

Raditz didn’t hesitate, delivering a crushing kick to Goku’s back, slamming him to the ground.

Goku cried out in pain, feeling utterly defeated.

“Hmph, you two combined are still so weak. It’s disappointing,” Raditz sneered.

Gritting his teeth, Goku struggled to stand, rubbing his injured back. He turned to Piccolo. “How are you holding up, Piccolo?”

Goku glanced over and noticed Piccolo was missing an arm.

Blood dripped from Piccolo’s wound as he endured the pain, sweat pouring down his face. “Don’t worry, even with one arm, I can still fight.”

“Hahaha, your deaths are imminent. Prepare yourselves!” Raditz laughed maniacally.

“Goku, do you have any secret techniques left?” Piccolo asked suddenly.

“Sorry… to be honest, no,” Goku shook his head.

“I was hoping to conserve my strength,” Piccolo said, his voice deep. “But I’ve been training seriously, and I’ve developed a new technique.”

“A new move?” Goku asked, surprised.

“Yes,” Piccolo nodded.

“Can you pull it off with just one arm?” Goku asked.

“I can, but it takes time to charge. You’ll have to keep him busy,” Piccolo proposed.

“I understand, but do you think it’ll work?” Goku asked.

“It might. If it doesn’t, then no one can defeat him,” Piccolo replied, then added with a smirk, “Originally, I created this move to kill you.”

“Well, now it can help me,” Goku chuckled.

“Don’t get too happy. If we defeat him, you’re next,” Piccolo grumbled.

“Hahaha!” Goku laughed heartily.

“Is now the time to be laughing?” Piccolo growled.

“Alright, I’ll hold him off. You just focus on charging up,” Goku decided.

“You better survive!” Piccolo said seriously.

Goku rushed toward Raditz, engaging him in fierce combat.

Piccolo raised two fingers to his forehead, beginning to charge his special move.

Goku was quickly overpowered by Raditz, getting pummeled and bruised, clearly outmatched.

After several exchanges, Raditz sent Goku flying with a powerful kick.

Goku rebounded off the ground, soaring into the air, gathering energy in his hands.

“This is bad! His power level is increasing!” Raditz was shocked. “He’s concentrating all his energy in one place to raise his power level?”

Raditz then noticed Piccolo nearby, also charging energy.

“The other one’s power level is… 1020… 1030… and rising! This is unbelievable!” Raditz was stunned.

“Kamehameha!”

Goku unleashed his energy wave, sending it crashing toward Raditz.

Raditz dodged, evading the blast.

Goku manipulated the energy, making it chase Raditz.

“Don’t get cocky!” Raditz growled, grabbing the energy wave with one hand.

Boom!

Smoke billowed around Raditz’s location.

“Damn, he caught it!” Goku cursed internally.

“Take this back!” Raditz snarled, hurling the energy wave back at Goku.

Boom!

Goku was hit, crashing hard to the ground.

Raditz quickly advanced, grabbing Goku by the collar, raising his fist to strike. “I’ll kill you first, Kakarot! Die!”

“The one who’s going to die is you!” Piccolo had finished charging his Special Beam Cannon, his veins bulging with intensity, his face twisted in concentration.

A pale purple light glowed at Piccolo’s fingertips.

Raditz, startled, glanced back at Piccolo.

“What? A power level of 1330! All concentrated into his fingertips!” Raditz exclaimed. “This is bad—they can control their power levels at will!”

After crossing into the world of Dragon Ball, Ren became a Saiyan of Planet Vegeta. At the start, he traded a simple starchy sausage made of technology and hard work for Whis's simplified version of Ultra Instinct. Unexpectedly, he ended up cultivating the power of an angel.

From then on, Ren strived to become an angel.

Years later.

All the gods sat together at one table during the 88th convention of the Universe's Gods of Destruction, Supreme Kais, and apprentice angels.

Beerus suddenly stood up: "Ren, stand up for a moment."

Ren: "????"

Beerus: "Just stand up, it'll be quick."

Ren stood up, puzzled.

Beerus: "I wanted to say that everyone here is trash!"

Ren: "Beerus, sit down. I want to join in too."

Beerus: "You're an angel, why do you want to join?"
