Dragon Ball: I Will Become an Angel As a Saiyan Chapter 147

Level 100, Time Destruction God! A Glimpse of Bardock

Level 100, Time Destruction God! A Glimpse of Bardock (Part 1)

Everyone present was stunned, their eyes wide open as they focused on what had just happened.

Goku and the others were baffled, but since they didn’t know what was going on, none of them stepped forward to ask questions.

Bulma was not present at the scene; instead, she was in her room, carefully dressing up, applying makeup, her fair face glowing with happiness. Having regained her youthful vitality, Bulma was feeling more radiant than ever.

No girl wants to lose her youth.

Bulma wanted to show her best self to Ren and didn’t care much about what was happening outside.

Ren glanced at Broly but didn’t stop him.

Ren had noticed that Broly’s temper had been a bit off these past two days.

Perhaps Broly understood that in just one month, he would part ways with Ren to take on a new role in another universe.

Broly felt deeply reluctant.

After waiting for Ren for 24 years, they had just reunited, and now they would be separated after only a month?

Yamcha, unfortunately, became the target of Broly’s frustration. Broly had hit him harder than intended, nearly killing him.

Ren couldn’t help but feel a bit emotional.

Broly truly was a loyal companion.

Ren suddenly didn’t want to send him away.

After spending so much effort training him, it seemed a shame to let another angel take Broly.

“Exquisite, is there any way I can keep Broly with me?” Ren asked Exquisite, who was busy enjoying her cake.

“The solution is simple—unless you find another candidate to become the God of Destruction for Universe 9 or Universe 3,” Exquisite replied casually while savoring her dessert.

“Broly is meant to be the God of Destruction for Universe 18. Are you really okay with sending him away?” Ren asked again.

“If the Grand Priest has decided, what can I do about it?” Exquisite shook her head gently. “Unless you can defeat him and solve the issue through force.”

Ren: “…”

“If I could beat him, would I be asking you?” Ren wiped the sweat from his forehead.

“Well, you could always try to train a new God of Destruction within a month and send them to Universe 3 or Universe 9,” Exquisite suggested, still focused on her cake.

“Train a new God of Destruction in a month…” Ren pondered for a moment before an idea flashed in his mind, and he grinned. “What if I went to the future and brought back a God of Destruction from there? Would that work?”

“Sure, go ahead. Just be careful of the Time Destruction God. If you alter the timeline without permission, even angels aren’t safe from their wrath,” Exquisite said calmly, glancing at Ren.

“Time Destruction God?” Ren was hearing this term for the first time.

“They’re similar to the Universe Destruction Gods. While Universe Destruction Gods maintain balance in their universes, ensuring the destruction of planets or civilizations when necessary, Time Destruction Gods oversee timelines. If too many timeline branches emerge and disrupt the flow of time, the Time Destruction God will step in to destroy the unnecessary branches,” Exquisite explained in detail.

“Have you ever encountered a Time Destruction God?” Ren asked, intrigued.

“I haven’t. It’s hard to meet one unless you start tampering with time,” Exquisite said, her long hair swaying behind her.

“Training a new God of Destruction in a month… that’s not easy,” Ren muttered, lost in thought.

At this point, Ren called Broly over to him.

The robot, Giru, was following closely behind Broly, its head flashing with lights as if deep in thought.

“Broly, would you rather stay with me or go to Universe 3 or Universe 9 to be the God of Destruction?” Ren asked.

“Stay with you,” Broly answered without hesitation, revealing his true feelings.

“You’ve already completed your training. Among all the Gods of Destruction, you’re probably second only to Beerus. With some dedicated training, surpassing him won’t be a problem,” Ren said thoughtfully.

“Stay with you,” Broly repeated.

“If you become the God of Destruction for Universe 3 or Universe 9, you’ll have more freedom. But staying with me means you’ll just be a follower, a subordinate,” Ren said honestly.

“I’m willing,” Broly responded with just three words.

“Alright then, I’ll see what I can do to keep you by my side,” Ren said with a smile.

“Really?” Broly’s face lit up with excitement.

“I’ll figure something out,” Ren reassured him. “Now go enjoy your food.”

Broly, thrilled, nodded and before eating, went over to Yamcha and pulled a Senzu Bean from his pocket.

Broly still had a few Senzu Beans that Ren had given him after the God of Destruction competition in Universe 18.

“Here, eat this. I might’ve hit you a bit hard earlier,” Broly said, handing over the bean.

“I… don’t need it… really, I’m fine,” Yamcha stammered, visibly panicking.

Bang!

Broly wasn’t having any of it and promptly shoved the Senzu Bean into Yamcha’s mouth.

Yamcha’s body twitched, and he instinctively swallowed the bean.

In an instant, Yamcha’s injuries healed, and he scrambled to his feet, terrified.

“Be polite to Ren,” Broly said, ruffling Yamcha’s hair and straightening his collar.

“Y-Yes… I-I understand,” Yamcha stammered in fear.

“I’m really sorry for hitting you so hard earlier. You’re friends with Kakarot, right?” Broly asked.

“Y-Yes…” Yamcha stuttered.

Broly patted Yamcha’s head again, like one would pat a watermelon.

Yamcha turned pale with fright.

Then, Broly casually walked away to enjoy the food at the party.

“Yamcha, your face can change color? Just now, your face looked a lot like Piccolo’s! Are you secretly one of the gods’ children?” Krillin teased, examining Yamcha.

“Krillin! You jerk! Do you want to hang out later or not?” Yamcha fumed, glaring at Krillin.

“I didn’t say anything…” Krillin awkwardly scratched his head, then added seriously, “I told you not to mess with him, but you didn’t listen.”

“Damn it! I need to train harder! I’m going to surpass him!” Yamcha clenched his fists tightly.

Meanwhile, Ren and Exquisite continued their conversation.

Regarding the Time Destruction God, Ren wasn’t in any hurry to meet one.

Exquisite had made it clear that angels were incredibly powerful, capable of traversing time without a Time Ring, thanks to their immense angelic energy.

But why didn’t angels randomly travel through time?

Because, one, it wasn’t necessary, and two, there was always the risk of encountering a Time Destruction God.

“Any god who interferes with time will be ruthlessly destroyed by the Time Destruction God,” Exquisite emphasized.

“Which gods are included in that category?” Ren asked as he enjoyed his meal.

“Supreme Kai, Gods of Destruction, Angels, and the Grand Zeno,” Exquisite answered.

“The Grand Priest isn’t included?” Ren asked, a bit surprised.

“Probably not,” Exquisite shook her head.

“That’s pretty remarkable,” Ren commented.

And the Time Destruction God wouldn’t intervene when lower-ranking gods like the Supreme Kai meddled with time?

So when Zamasu altered the timeline, did the Time Destruction God just ignore it?

How biased!

“What about mortals? If a mortal disrupts time, does the Time Destruction God not care?” Ren asked.

“Seems like it. After all, it’s pretty difficult for mortals to mess with time,” Exquisite replied.

Ren cut a piece of steak and slowly savored it.

“One more thing—Supreme Kais possess Time Rings, allowing them to travel through time freely, but only for official duties,” Exquisite added. She picked up a small piece of steak Ren had just cut, conjured a tiny knife and fork, and took a bite, her face lighting up with joy as she jumped around the table.

“How strong is the Time Destruction God?” Ren asked, his curiosity growing.

“You came up with the whole theory of angelic power purity, remember? During your transformation into an angel, the Grand Priest adjusted your system of power measurement into levels, so all gods now have their power categorized by levels,” Exquisite explained with a smile.

“Oh? Should I ask what level the Time Destruction God is?” Ren asked, intrigued.

“Level 100!” Exquisite beamed as she took another bite of her steak, clearly enjoying herself.

Ren: “…”

“That’s max level, right?” Ren sighed.

“Yes, it’s max level,” Exquisite nodded.

“And the Grand Priest?” Ren asked again.

“The Grand Priest should be above level 90,” Exquisite replied. “You still have a long way to go before surpassing him. You’re only at level 58, right? The higher you go, the harder it gets to increase your level. For angels, purifying their angelic power becomes more difficult as well.”

“Let’s forget about the Time Destruction God for now… Level 100 is too much pressure. First, I need to find someone suitable to become the new God of Destruction,” Ren said as he used his staff to search.

He began his search in Universe 6, scanning through various candidates. When he came across Hit, he paused for a moment, but then quickly switched to another scene.

The next scene showed two infant girls, Caulifla and Kale, both crawling on the ground with pacifiers in their mouths.

So, Caulifla and Kale had already been born?

That made sense. They were around the same age as Gohan, who was just a little older than them.

But these two were still too young to be considered.

Next, Ren saw Cabba, still holding a bottle of milk.

The search continued, and after scanning through most of Universe 6, Ren shifted his focus to Universe 7.

He was much more familiar with Universe 7.

Familiar faces like Frieza, Vegeta, Nappa, Cooler, King Cold, the Ginyu Force, Jaco, Moro, Gas, Granolah, and Slug all appeared in the crystal ball of Ren’s staff.

Ren paused for a few seconds when Granolah’s image appeared.

Granolah!

In Dragon Ball Super‘s manga, Granolah was the one who became the strongest in the universe through the Dragon Balls, sacrificing nearly 200 years of his life.

The same was true for Gas.

Ren wasn’t particularly interested in either of them.

People who became stronger through Shenron had their potential fully exhausted. Even if they became the strongest in the universe, it was only at a human level.

Next, Ren focused the vision of his staff on Moro. This guy was truly a formidable figure, and with proper training, he had a chance to reach the level of a God of Destruction. However, Moro was incredibly evil—perhaps even more so than Majin Buu. While Buu had absorbed the Great Supreme Kai and had the mindset of a child, with the right guidance, he could be steered toward a better path.

Moro, though, was different.

Currently, Moro was imprisoned in the Galactic Patrol Prison. Ren hesitated but considered Moro one of the few viable candidates for becoming a God of Destruction in a short time.

“I’ll keep him in mind for now.”

Ren continued searching for other potential candidates. If none fit, Moro might be the best option.

What about candidates from other universes? Unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be anyone significantly powerful enough. This left Ren considering a trip to the future to find someone suitable. But then…

Wait, if there’s a future, then there’s also a past!

If there are strong candidates in the future, could there also be suitable candidates in the past?

An idea suddenly struck Ren—a person from the past: Bardock, Goku’s father.

According to the storyline, Bardock, during his battle with Frieza, was supposedly sent back 1,000 years and became the ancient Super Saiyan. The legend of the Super Saiyan began with him.

Ren decided to investigate Bardock through his staff, curious if he could locate him.

As he searched, Bardock’s image appeared in the staff’s projection—a man who looked strikingly similar to Goku, with a long scar across his face.

“Bardock… he’s still alive?” Ren thought in surprise.

Level 100, Time Destruction God! A Glimpse of Bardock (Part 2)

At present, Bardock was on Planet Kadra, a distant planet far from Earth. The technological level of the inhabitants was extremely low.

Ren observed Bardock’s surroundings. He lived on a mountain peak where he had built a small house. Outside was a spacecraft that bore some resemblance to those used by Frieza’s forces. However, the ship was damaged, much like the condition of Jaco’s spacecraft years ago, with the main power source broken and nearly impossible to repair.

Planet Kadra was a harsh, storm-ravaged planet with limited life energy. Located on the edge of the universe, it was a place few would discover.

Incidentally, the planet wasn’t far from Planet Vampa, where Broly had once lived. Though both planets were located in the same region on the universe’s edge, they were still quite far apart. By Earth’s current technological standards in the Dragon Ball world, it would take over a hundred years to travel between the two planets.

“Bardock…” Ren’s eyes gleamed with interest.

Had Bardock really traveled back 1,000 years? And if so, how did he return?

No, wait!

He didn’t return—he’s been alive for 1,000 years!

Just how powerful must Bardock be now?

Ren was intrigued.

“Broly, have you ever gone back home?” Ren asked, turning to Broly.

After all, Bardock’s current residence wasn’t far from where Broly had once lived on Planet Vampa. For an angel like Ren, it would only take a few minutes to travel between the two.

Broly shook his head.

“You’ve always missed your father, haven’t you?” Ren said, “It might be time to go back and visit.”

“After all these years, many things have faded…” Broly looked up at the sky.

“Broly, you’re becoming more and more like a philosopher,” Ren mused.

Broly: “???”

“After we help Goku with his training, we’ll take you home for a visit,” Ren smiled.

“Alright,” Broly nodded in agreement, putting down his food. “I’m full.”

“Already?” Ren laughed, rising from his seat. “Alright then, let’s go!”

Broly eagerly nodded.

Exquisite: “…”

“I’m not done eating…” Exquisite wiped her brow. “I want to eat a little more.”

“Then stay and eat at your own pace. I’ll come back and help you reform later,” Ren chuckled.

Exquisite felt exasperated.

Are you seriously going to leave me behind like this?

With a tap of his staff, Ren’s body shimmered with a radiant, starlike glow.

In an instant, Broly used a technique akin to Dragon Claw, grabbing Goku’s body from afar.

“Whoosh!”

Goku, now under Broly’s control, was pulled over to his side.

“Huh? Huh? What?” Goku blinked, confused.

“We’re leaving,” Ren said, ready to take off without waiting for Exquisite.

Exquisite: “…”

I’m not done eating!

With no choice, Exquisite transformed into a stream of light and merged into Ren’s body.

In the blink of an eye, Ren, now glowing brightly, ascended into space.

“We’re already off Earth? That’s incredible!” Goku looked back and saw Earth as a small, distant blue orb.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, Bulma, dressed beautifully in a new outfit, stepped out of her room just moments after Ren had left.

She had put on a new dress, accentuating her figure and appearance.

“Where’s Ren?” Bulma asked, looking around before noticing Krillin pointing to the sky.

“What? He already left?” Bulma put her hands on her hips, her chest heaving with frustration as she stomped her foot. “Ren, I hate you!”

Everyone present exchanged confused glances.

“Did you see that?” Chiaotzu asked Tien, still gazing at the sky. “He flew up in an instant.”

“Such speed… He didn’t even need a spaceship to fly into space,” Tien remarked, wiping his brow.

“That was impressive. I just wonder where Goku is going to train,” Krillin said thoughtfully.

“Didn’t he tell you?” Tien asked.

“Goku doesn’t even know where Ren is taking him to train,” Krillin shook his head lightly.

Meanwhile, the robot, Giru, floated beside Bulma, its head flashing lights as it repeatedly uttered the same phrase: “What are you looking at… what are you looking at?”

Bulma: “…”

“Bulma, Broly doesn’t want to play with me anymore…” The light in Giru’s eyes dimmed further.

“Your little companion has grown up…” Bulma sighed softly.

“Giru doesn’t want him to grow up…” Giru’s eyes dimmed even more.

“People… always grow up,” Bulma said gently, stroking Giru’s head before biting her lip and quietly pressing the shutdown button on the robot.

“Shhh!”

The light on Giru’s body faded away.

“It’s time to erase your memories of Broly…” Bulma’s voice grew somber.

After a moment of silence, she continued, “If I could, I’d want to erase my memories of Ren too…” she muttered, her voice filled with emotion as tears streamed down her face.

Universe 6, outer space.

Ren, along with Broly and Goku, sped through the vast starry space like a radiant shooting star.

It wasn’t long before Ren led them into the Null Realm.

“Ren, what is this place?” Goku asked curiously.

“The Null Realm—basically, it’s an undeveloped universe,” Ren explained.

“Even though I don’t really understand… I get the general idea,” Goku said, scratching his head, curious about everything around him. “So, where are you taking me to train?”

“You’ll find out soon enough,” Ren replied, not giving too much away.

Passing through the Null Realm, Ren brought Goku and Broly into the space of Universe 7, continuing upward at high speed.

“Snap!”

Ren broke through a barrier and entered the Otherworld.

Soon, they descended near the entrance to Snake Way.

Goku looked around, and it didn’t take long for him to notice the seemingly endless path before them.

“What is this place? There’s no one around,” Goku asked, scratching his head.

“There’s no one here, just ghosts,” Broly chimed in.

“Ghosts? What do you mean?” Goku was even more confused.

“Do you see that narrow path?” Ren pointed to Snake Way in front of them.

Goku nodded.

“Follow that path all the way to the end. There’s a planet where a Kai lives. You’ll train with him for a while,” Ren instructed.

“Kai?” Goku blinked in confusion.

“The Kai will help you build a strong foundation. And remember, while training, focus on mastering Ultra Instinct,” Ren said with a smile, his tone gentle as he added, “By the way, do you have any questions about that book I gave you?”

“At first, there were a lot of things I didn’t understand, but Krillin helped explain them all. I get it now!” Goku laughed, pulling out the Ultra Instinct Training Manual from his clothes.

This manual that Ren gave Goku wasn’t a simplified version but rather the essence of the training method from the Angel race. With Goku’s natural talent, Ren was confident that he could grasp the skills in the manual quickly.

“Snap!”

With a light wave of his hand, Ren conjured up 30 Senzu Beans.

These beans had been stored in Ren’s space ring, which, thanks to the divine power imbued within it, had remained intact even after Ren’s transformation into stardust.

After his return, Broly had given the ring back to him. Now, Ren no longer needed the ring since he had his own dimensional space as an Angel.

Ren took a small portion of the Senzu Beans and placed them into his storage space, giving the ring and the remaining 100-plus beans to Broly. He also entrusted the Iron Man suit to Broly, since it would be of more use to him than to Ren at the moment.

“Are these… Senzu Beans?” Goku leaned in to get a better look.

“These Senzu Beans are to keep you from starving to death,” Ren said, handing the 30 beans to Goku.

Goku: “???”

“Starving to death?” Goku was puzzled. “Aren’t there any places to buy food along the way?”

“No,” Ren answered simply.

Goku: “…”

“One more thing—don’t fall off Snake Way. If you fall into the golden clouds below, you’ll die instantly and end up in hell. Not even I could save you then,” Ren warned.

Though he said he couldn’t save Goku, it was just to scare him into being cautious.

“Whoa! Fall into hell? That’s terrifying!” Goku gasped. “Got it! I’ll be extra careful!”

“Use the Senzu Beans sparingly. If you starve to death, you’ll have to start all over again,” Ren said, patting Goku on the shoulder.

“Got it, got it. I’ll give it my all! Now, I’m off!” Goku waved at Ren. “I’ll train hard and make sure I defeat Vegeta!”

Ren nodded slightly.

“Whoosh!”

Without another word, Goku took off, zooming along Snake Way.

As Goku’s figure faded into the distance, Ren didn’t waste any time. His body glowed brightly again, and in the next moment, he and Broly left the Otherworld, returning to the vast space of Universe 7, heading swiftly toward its outer edge.

“Ren, why are you having him train in Ultra Instinct?” Exquisite suddenly asked.

“Is there a problem with that?” Ren smiled in response.

“Not every human is like you—able to master Ultra Instinct,” Exquisite replied thoughtfully. “Well, it’s possible to train in it, but fully grasping the essence of Ultra Instinct is an extremely long process. I fear that even if he spends his whole life on it, he may never truly master it. Reaching Ultra Instinct Omen would already be an incredible feat, which is what the Grand Priest equates to level 20.”

Dragon Ball: I Will Become an Angel as a Saiyan

龙珠:赛亚人的我终成天使
Status: OngoingType: Author: Released: 2023

After crossing into the world of Dragon Ball, Ren became a Saiyan of Planet Vegeta. At the start, he traded a simple starchy sausage made of technology and hard work for Whis's simplified version of Ultra Instinct. Unexpectedly, he ended up cultivating the power of an angel.

From then on, Ren strived to become an angel.

Years later.

All the gods sat together at one table during the 88th convention of the Universe's Gods of Destruction, Supreme Kais, and apprentice angels.

Beerus suddenly stood up: "Ren, stand up for a moment."

Ren: "????"

Beerus: "Just stand up, it'll be quick."

Ren stood up, puzzled.

Beerus: "I wanted to say that everyone here is trash!"

Ren: "Beerus, sit down. I want to join in too."

Beerus: "You're an angel, why do you want to join?"
