Time passed slowly.

Vados seemed to have anticipated this question and understood what Whis was really implying, so she replied,
“If it were Lord Champa from a hundred million years ago, you know how strong he was. Back then, when he fought Lord Beerus, even though it didn’t last long, the burst of power was far greater than now.”
“Unfortunately, Lord Champa used to be ambitious, but in this past hundred million years, he’s gotten lazier and lazier. So I’ve had to give him something to do.”

At that, Whis looked slightly awkward.

He didn’t speak, nor did he look at Vados or Whis, or notice Champa still devouring desserts and drinks on the side.

Only a God of Destruction, or at least a candidate, could use Destruction!
“Looks like Lin Chuan’s surprised us again. Not only has he mastered the God-level technique True Ultra Ego, but he’s now fully grasped Destruction as well,” Whis said with a light smile.
Vados nodded approvingly.
To her, Lin Chuan was already a personal disciple, even the tiniest glimmer from him, she would magnify infinitely.
“Hey hey hey~! That brat mastered Destruction?! How is that possible? Whis of Universe 7, don’t tell me you taught him?” Champa jumped over, unable to contain himself.
Whis shook his head with a smile,
“Regretfully, no. Lord Champa, Lin Chuan comprehended True Ultra Ego during his battle with you, and from that, he grasped Destruction.”
“This… this… how terrifying is this kid’s talent?!”
Champa’s face was full of disbelief, he couldn’t hold it in anymore.
Vados teased with a smile,
“My, my, Lord Champa, didn’t I always tell you to train more? Now you know how it feels to be outpaced by a mortal?”
Champa’s face darkened. He wasn’t willing to admit it, but he had to accept it.
How many years had he, a God of Destruction, existed?
How old was Lin Chuan?
There was no comparison between them.
“I think… it might not end there. Lin Chuan seems to have grasped another divine technique,” Whis added.
Vados and Champa looked closer,
Lin Chuan stood still in base form, but energy surged wildly within him.
Soon, he raised his left hand, and a deep purple-black hole-like energy orb appeared. Though small, it had immense gravitational pull.
Without a doubt, this was Champa’s Divine Technique, Devour!!!
“You’ve got to be kidding, he even learned that?!”
Champa suddenly felt like his entire existence had been stolen.
True Ultra Ego?
Destruction?
He had barely accepted those.
But now Devour too? This was monstrous.
Champa realized, Lin Chuan was here to copy him.
Everything he used, Lin Chuan just watched once and instantly learned.
“Believe it or not, Lord Champa,” Vados said lightly, “If you don’t start working harder, Lin Chuan might truly surpass you soon.”
Even though she personally doubted Champa could keep up with Lin Chuan’s growth rate, as his angel, she had to encourage him.
Awakened by her words, Champa broke out in a cold sweat and grew pensive.
He stood frozen, while Vados and Whis walked over to Lin Chuan.
As they approached,
They witnessed Lin Chuan transform again!
But unlike before, where he climbed one level at a time,
This time, he directly entered True Ultra Ego form.
While his power didn’t increase drastically, it had stabilized. He could now instantly reach the form through his own will.
Unlike Goku and Vegeta in the original story, who, after mastering a form, would forget how to transform and take a long time to achieve it again…

That was still the biggest gap.
Especially with this form.
But now that the fight with Champa was over, it wasn’t possible to force a rematch.

“You’re right, Lord Champa won’t spar with you anymore,” Vados said with a smile. “But aren’t there two others right in front of you?”
Clearly, she meant herself and Whis.
She offered to personally guide and train Lin Chuan.
That stunned him, he looked to Whis.
Whis returned a look that said, It’s your choice. Do as you like.
