Earth.
East City.
Android 21, who had been hiding here, was currently watching surveillance footage in her secret laboratory with great interest.
She looked noticeably different than before, her figure was fuller.
But more importantly…
Her stomach was significantly enlarged. Anyone could see at a glance that she was at least seven or eight months pregnant, perhaps even close to giving birth.
That’s right!
The child Android 21 was carrying belonged to Lin Chuan.
Using advanced technology and microscopic machines, she had secretly collected Lin Chuan’s genetic essence on multiple occasions.
At first, she gathered it purely for research.
But over a year ago, she observed a dramatic change, even after being separated from Lin Chuan’s body, his genetic material continued to evolve under his influence.
It was the sublimation of bloodline, the transformation of life.
At that moment, Android 21 realized just how powerful Lin Chuan had become, far beyond anything she could oppose.
So, she made up her mind.
Unable to beat him, she decided to join him, by impregnating herself with his child.
In her mind, as long as she bore Lin Chuan’s child, even with her unique origins and future identity, she would no longer be seen as a threat.
But in truth, Android 21 was overthinking things.
She had always believed herself to be a villain, that her existence alone warranted punishment.
In reality, as long as she didn’t commit heinous crimes or try to destroy Earth, neither Lin Chuan nor the Z-Fighters would harm her.
“It’s a shame I’m already pregnant with his child. Otherwise, I’d definitely go after Majin Buu’s cells…” she murmured, piecing together the intelligence she had gathered.
Majin Buu’s cells, that had always been her goal.
If she could acquire them, her android body could absorb and evolve, greatly boosting her strength and finally giving her a fighting chance against the Z-Fighters.
Her original plan for returning to this time was partly to obtain Buu’s cells, but a mistake in time travel landed her too early.
And, of course, that idiot Cell she had saved had gone and gotten himself killed.
Otherwise, she could’ve used him to find Buu’s sealed egg and extract the necessary cells.
Still, Android 21 had no regrets.
She had chosen a different path and now saw a different future.
No longer did she have to live in the shadows across timelines.
Now that she was pregnant with the child of the strongest Saiyan, Lin Chuan, her life had fundamentally changed.
“Even though now’s not the time to reveal myself, I could still give them a little help. None of them know where Babidi’s spaceship is, but I do.”
With that, Android 21 tapped commands onto her console, transmitting her collected intel directly to Bulma’s phone in West City.
Like Bulma, she was a true genius, her IQ was no less than Bulma’s, and even surpassed her in some areas.
She did this with the future in mind. Sooner or later, she’d have to interact with them.
After all, Bulma was Lin Chuan’s official partner, and then there was Android 18…
By helping now and engaging in scientific collaboration, 21 hoped to build a relationship, starting as friends.
West City.
As the discussion deepened,
Bulma, who couldn’t get a word in, suddenly heard a message alert on her phone.
Already stressed by Earth’s chaos and Lin Chuan’s absence, she opened it, only to be shocked beyond words.
“Everyone, quiet! Look at this!” Bulma commanded, making everyone fall silent.
When she placed the smartphone in front of everyone, what they saw left them dumbfounded.
It wasn’t just the precise coordinates of Babidi’s spaceship that stunned them, it was the identity of the sender.
Whoever it was knew exactly what was going on, as if they were watching everything.
And with just a few brief words and a location map, they demonstrated an almost supernatural knowledge.
“…What’s going on? Who sent this?” Raditz was the first to speak after snapping out of it.
Bulma took a deep breath and shook her head. “No sender shown. No phone number either… Even the latest security firewall I developed was easily bypassed. Whoever this is, they know everything about us, and their tech is incredible.”
With no clear answer, everyone grew uneasy.
This was too bizarre, a very bad sign.
“Someone smarter than Bulma? That’s hard to believe,” said Krillin, half joking, half in awe of the unknown sender’s skill.
Bulma wasn’t amused.
She immediately tried to trace the source using basic tracking equipment.
But with just a phone and a few tools, she had no way to run a reverse trace.
After a long silence, Goku finally spoke up, “If they don’t want to be found, we probably won’t find them. But since they knew we were struggling to locate Babidi’s spaceship, it means… they’ve been watching us.”
“You mean to say… everything we’re doing is under surveillance?” Supreme Kai asked, frowning.
Goku nodded and looked up, “I don’t know who you are, or where you are. But since you provided the location of Babidi’s ship, I’m guessing you’re not an enemy.”
That’s when Kibito suddenly had a realization and said, “Wait a moment! Don’t you think this is suspicious? What if this is a trap? What if Babidi, knowing we were searching for him, used his magic to lure us into a setup?”
For once, Kibito’s brain was sharp.
But far away in East City, Android 21 nearly burst into tears of frustration.
This was next-level paranoia.
“Hmph! If it’s a trap, even better!” Raditz was completely unafraid, and found it amusing.
To him, it didn’t matter who was behind it, as long as he wasn’t being manipulated.
“I don’t think it’s Babidi. If he were really that bold, why not just reveal himself from the start?” added Gohan, who had remained quiet until now.
“Gohan’s right. There’s no need for that kind of theatrics. Whoever gave us this info isn’t simple. Let’s just hope they’re not an enemy,” said Tien, picking up the thread.
The group launched into deeper discussion again.
They couldn’t uncover the identity, nor determine their intentions.
Maybe others could let it go, but Bulma and 18 absolutely couldn’t.
This was their home.
And now someone had apparently installed surveillance equipment in their house?!
For Bulma, who always considered herself the smartest, this was a huge slap in the face.
Knowing that everything she did was being monitored, she felt an enormous pressure bearing down on her.
If she ever found out that even her most intimate moments with Lin Chuan were recorded, and that Android 21 had harvested Lin Chuan’s genetic essence from it, she might never recover.
As time passed, the group finally reached a decision.
They would go together to Babidi’s spaceship, aiming to wipe out the threat in one strike.
However, someone needed to stay behind, as a mysterious presence still lingered on Earth.
So, Androids 16, 17, 18, and Magetta would remain behind.
The Z-Fighters mobilized, led by Goku and Raditz, with Supreme Kai and Kibito tagging along.
Meanwhile, hidden in the shadows,
Fu watched the entire event unfold and was utterly astonished.
He never expected things to play out like this.
In all the alternate timelines he’d visited, nothing had gone this way.
Fascinating.
Fueled by interest, Fu’s playful curiosity surged.
“Let’s see why this timeline is so different. Who knows, maybe it’ll surprise me.”
With that, his voice vanished into the wind, and Fu’s figure disappeared into the sky.
Universe 6.
God of Destruction Realm.
At this moment, Lin Chuan was still meditating.
So were Vegeta and Piccolo, both at a crucial point in stabilizing their new powers.
They were supposed to return to Earth a month ago, but they had remained here, stuck at critical stages of their breakthroughs.
Upon learning a month ago that Goku and Raditz had become gods, Lin Chuan planned to delay just a few days, giving them time to enter the Time Chamber.
That delay turned into a full month, as Vegeta and Piccolo reached key breakthroughs.
Now, though, Lin Chuan was the one stuck, unable to pass his bottleneck.
Today, he gave himself a deadline.
If he still couldn’t break through to Ultra Instinct, he would pause all training temporarily.
As Vados had warned, forcing breakthroughs could form mental blocks. Even if he believed he was training with balance, his body might stay overexcited and cause missed opportunities, just a tiny bit short of grasping that feeling.
Over-obsession leads to diminishing returns.
Time ticked by.
When Vegeta and Piccolo opened their eyes, their power had fully stabilized.
Following Vados’s gaze, they saw Lin Chuan still seated motionless in meditation.
They said nothing, quietly observing.
Interrupting someone at a crucial moment of training was taboo.
“Looks like in the end… he still couldn’t break through,” Vados said softly, shaking her head with a hint of helplessness.
Though she had promised not to directly teach Lin Chuan, she had still given him hints, which he should’ve grasped by now.
“You won’t let go, too cautious, too guarded, so in the end, you’ve chained yourself down.”
“Ah, Little Lin Chuan… you’re a genius, but too much of one. That’s what limits your growth.”
She couldn’t say it aloud, only sigh in her heart.
Hearing this, Vegeta and Piccolo perked up.
Lin Chuan’s lack of progress was good news for them.
Put simply, he had always been far ahead of them. No matter how strong they became, the gap only widened.
They were desperately chasing.
So, if Lin Chuan paused, it gave them a chance to catch up.
Otherwise, they had no idea how to ever reach his level.
Piccolo had largely let go of such obsessions.
But Vegeta was different, as a Saiyan prince, he would never admit defeat.
Still, they remained quiet, until Lin Chuan finally opened his eyes.
“There wasn’t even the slightest sign of a breakthrough… as expected, you can’t rush these things,” he sighed, slowly rising to his feet.
Even without Ultra Instinct, Lin Chuan wasn’t discouraged.
Not breaking through didn’t mean his training had been for nothing.
He had continued accumulating insight, refining his understanding.
Now, his base form’s power had reached 100 S (秭 – 10²⁴).
That might not sound like much, but once one reached the Eighth Dimensional-class (S-unit), power scaling changed entirely.
Trying to gain large jumps in numbers wasn’t impossible, he just didn’t want to rush it.
Lin Chuan could feel that his level couldn’t yet match his strength.
Once his understanding transformed, he wouldn’t need to hold back anymore.
If he achieved Ultra Instinct, he’d likely reach the late pinnacle of the Eighth Dimension, perhaps even step into the Ninth Dimension in base form.
As always, he only pursued breakthroughs that led to the peak.
Returning to the present, Lin Chuan looked at Vados, then at Vegeta and Piccolo.
He didn’t need to speak, he already knew the situation.
With a mere thought, he sensed that both Vegeta and Piccolo had reached the pinnacle of the Sixth Dimension.
Though they hadn’t yet broken into the Seventh Dimension, they were very close.
