As the spaceship entirely left the solar system, Lin Chuan began to guide Piccolo and Gohan in experimenting with gravity training. For them, the harsh training they were used to was now augmented by technological enhancements, making it clear that training here could significantly accelerate their strength development.
Particularly, Lin Chuan mentioned that the gravity on the original Planet Vegeta was ten times that of Earth, and the gravity on King Kai’s planet, where King Kai resides, is also ten times that of Earth.
Piccolo was confused by the mention of King Kai and his planet, realizing he was not part of the events at the Heavenly Palace, so he certainly wouldn’t know.
After some explanations, Piccolo’s excitement grew, knowing now that he could surpass Goku and Raditz with the gravity training room—a training marvel. What would the training under King Kai matter?
Piccolo and Gohan started their gravity training with ten times Earth’s gravity.
Lin Chuan was surprised that Chi-Chi didn’t mind Gohan training with Piccolo. He wondered how she had come around to the idea. It seemed not only his doing; Bulma must have influenced this change in some unknown way.
Meanwhile, in the highest divine realm of the entire Seventh Universe—not the realm of the Kais, but the realm of the Destruction God—a tall, slender figure dressed in angelic attire and wielding an exceptional staff was conversing with a strangely shaped fish. They were none other than the angel Whis and Lord Beerus’s pet Oracle Fish, who can foresee the future.
“Very good, very good, this new type of tea tree has been cultivated very successfully,” Whis commented as he sat with the Oracle Fish at a stone table, enjoying delicious snacks and tea. “The fragrance is compelling, the taste refreshing, and it carries a hint of purity without any impurities.”
As beings of their level, they had endless lifespans, and for Whis, each day seemed the same, yet he always found new ways to pass the long, dull hours. This time, it was by cultivating a top-tier tea tree.
“It is! After all, this tea is only for deities, and based on this batch’s quality, it’s at least twice as good as the last. Just one leaf contains such incredible energy; not only does it enhance strength and unlock potential and divine power, but it can also extend one’s life by hundreds of years,” the Oracle Fish added.
Whis, unfazed by the praise, merely smiled and sipped his tea.
Just then, a sudden disturbance occurred.
A thunderous boom echoed throughout the Realm of Destruction. Above Whis and the Oracle Fish, at the top of the Universe Tree where the chamber of the God of Destruction was located, intense flames spread wildly, indicating the terrifying power of the explosion.
This was the Realm of Destruction, where the durability was supremely high, and this tree was the Universe Tree—not something that could be damaged easily.
“Lord Beerus’s temper is becoming increasingly volatile; every so often, he causes such great disturbances. He used to be much calmer when he slept,” the Oracle Fish complained as it watched the fading flames.
“It’s unavoidable. The universe is continuously generating new negative energy. Lord Beerus had cleared much of the universe’s negative energy before his sleep, consuming much of his divine power and energy, so it’s normal for him to rest uneasily,” Whis explained perfectly.
After all, this lengthy sleep was necessary because of this.
“I think it’s not just that. Even if Lord Beerus was tired before, he didn’t have such poor sleeping habits. It’s been many years since this sleep began, and he seems to sneeze occasionally, almost like it’s become a habit,” the Oracle Fish continued to complain.
To this, Whis chuckled, having an insight, “You might be right about that… perhaps it has something to do with you.”
Whis smiled mysteriously, confusing the Oracle Fish.
“Related to me?” the Oracle Fish’s tiny eyes filled with great confusion.
“I remember you prophesied before Lord Beerus fell asleep, saying that when he wakes up, he will meet a formidable foe,” Whis reminded.
“A foe for Lord Beerus? Did I say that?” the Oracle Fish pondered, flipping and flopping in his tank, trying to recall.
After thinking it over and still unable to remember, Whis didn’t press further, only continued, “It seems you mentioned the Super Saiyan God.”
“Therefore, I’ve been watching the surviving Saiyans in the universe these past years.”
Thinking of this, Whis became intrigued.
He picked up his angelic staff and tapped into the void.
Using his unique abilities, he scanned the entire universe for Saiyans.
Soon, a projection appeared.
It showed a father and son hunting on a barren planet.
If Lin Chuan had been here, he would undoubtedly have recognized these.
Two.
The legendary Super Saiyan, Broly, and his father, Paragus!
“These are two Saiyan survivors living on Planet Vampa. One of them indeed contains notable strength, likely him. However, this planet is primitive; if it weren’t, they wouldn’t be living such primitive lives,” Whis mused aloud, waving his staff and changing the projection.
This time, the projection showed a small, slender Saiyan.
Vegeta’s brother, Tarble.
“The young prince of the Saiyan race, fortunate to have survived. Unfortunately, his potential isn’t outstanding, nor is he a warrior type.”
“Compared to him, his brother is quite decent, Vegeta…”
The scene shifted again to space.
Two spherical ships of the Frieza Force were navigating through the universe.
Inside one of these ships, two Saiyans were seen in hibernation.
If not Vegeta and Nappa, then who?
Whis glanced at Vegeta with interest, then swung his staff again.
The projection was on King Kai’s planet, showing Raditz and Goku training.
Raditz had not died as he was supposed to; instead, he and Goku had trained with King Kai.
Most crucially, those who were meant to be dead were alive.
