“Dragon Ball: Xenoverse” is a fighting game released in 2015, which is irresistible for Dragon Ball fans.
In this game, you can create characters from five different races: Earthlings, Saiyans, Namekians, Majins, and Frieza’s race. Additionally, you can create multiple classes, though there are only five classes, Earthlings, Saiyans, and Majins are gender-divided, with different abilities for each gender. Namekians and Frieza’s race have no gender, as Namekians reproduce by spitting eggs from their mouths, and Frieza’s race reproduces asexually. Both races reproduce asexually.
A young man, over 1.8 meters tall with a slender build, was hurriedly walking forward. His name was Pica.
Pica is a 27-year-old physical education teacher, often called “Pikachu Teacher” by his students, much to his annoyance. He is also a loyal Dragon Ball fan. Fascinated by “Dragon Ball” since childhood, he believed that mastering martial arts would make him as powerful as Goku, capable of extraordinary feats. He joined Taekwondo in elementary school and later switched to Jeet Kune Do upon a friend’s suggestion. Pica is a diligent learner. The essence of Jeet Kune Do, “Using no way as way; having no limitation as limitation,” is akin to the martial art “Nine Swords of Dugu” in wuxia novels.
Due to his training from a young age, Pica’s body looks average in clothes but is packed with explosive muscles.
After graduating from university, Pica’s family pulled some strings to get him a job as a physical education teacher at a prestigious high school.

He pushed open the door to a plain room with posters of Goku transforming into Super Saiyan and Bruce Lee breaking five wooden boards with a kick, and nothing else.
“Tsk tsk… Finally, I can play it. I’ve been waiting so long; I should’ve bought a PS console earlier.” Pica muttered. He wanted a PS console, but his salary mostly went to his parents for his future marriage, leaving just enough for car fuel and living expenses. He saved up for a long time to buy a mid-range computer.
Watching the download speed on Baidu Cloud, at 2M per second, he figured he still had two hours to wait. “Might as well read a novel.”
He opened the Qidian app on his phone and logged in to continue reading his favorite novels. After a few minutes, he realized only a short time had passed. “Damn, why is time passing so slowly?” Pica anxiously watched the download speed.
“What should I do?” Pica restlessly shook his leg, lit a cigarette, and sat aimlessly on his computer chair, puffing away.
Finally, after two long hours, Pica opened the downloaded zip file. In about ten minutes, the 8GB game was extracted.
“Hehe…” Pica chuckled while looking at the extracted game, but his hands moved swiftly to find and open the game icon.
Familiar music filled Pica’s bedroom.
Two minutes later, Pica used Goku’s Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 3 forms to defeat Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu. He played the intro again.
But Pica didn’t notice that the previously dim sky had suddenly turned dark, with thunder and lightning. A lightning-like creature coiled among the dark clouds. People on the ground mistook it for lightning, unaware of a dragon circling in the sky.
The computer screen turned white, and a dialog box appeared. Shenron’s deep voice said:
“Someone has summoned you from a distant place…”
“Brave warrior! Come forward!”
After these words, it went to the character selection screen. Without looking at other character introductions, Pica chose a Saiyan. “You must choose a Saiyan to play this game; the other characters can wait.”
Next was character creation. He made his character look cool, with Vegito’s hairstyle (Note: Ignore the original hairstyle; imagine a modded version). The outfit was mostly blue, with a black vest underneath and shoes similar to Goku’s.
Pica named the character KAKASHI (pronounced “Kakashi” in Chinese; Kakashi’s true face revealed!). This part is just a joke; the character will still be Pica.
After confirming, a deep voice said: “Your wish has been granted.” Pica’s body transformed into a colorful light shooting towards the sky.
When Pica opened his eyes, he found himself in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by some Chinese ancient buildings and some sci-fi structures.
Pica looked around in confusion and turned his head, his mouth agape as if he had seen something terrifying.
‘Isn’t that Shenron? What’s going on?’ Pica thought.
“Goodbye…” Shenron glanced at the summoned warrior, frowned, and disappeared into the horizon.
“Tap, tap, tap…”
Pica heard footsteps behind him, turned, and saw a young man with purple hair, wearing a coat and carrying a sword.
The purple-haired youth said to Pica, “I imagine you’re quite surprised. I’ll explain later. For now…” He gripped his sword and slowly drew it, “Let me test your strength…”
“Hiyaaa!”
The purple-haired youth roared and charged at Pica with his sword.
“What, hey, what are you doing, stop!”
The purple-haired youth quickly slashed, tearing Pica’s coat. Pica looked at his clothes, ‘Is this…?’ Before he could react, the youth’s second strike came.
Pica instinctively jumped back, and the purple-haired youth re-sheathed his sword, readying another attack.
“Hey, why are you attacking me? Do you know that strike almost killed me?” Pica yelled.
The youth coldly looked at Pica, “I said, let me test your strength.”
He charged at Pica again, and before Pica could react, punched him in the face, sending him flying.
Pica rolled a few times on the ground, then stood up, wiping a trickle of blood from his mouth, ‘Testing my strength doesn’t mean being so ruthless!’
Pica realized he had transmigrated into Dragon Ball Xenoverse and seemed to have become his created character, except for a tail around his waist.
‘It looks like I became a Saiyan. I wanted to be a Saiyan, but I’d rather be with my family. Even if it’s just an ordinary life, I’d prefer it. Since Shenron brought me here, if I gather the Dragon Balls and make a wish, I should be able to return to my world!’ Pica thought, his resolve growing stronger.
“Alright, you want to see my strength, I’ll show you. Come on then…”
