“Son Goku, our battle officially starts now…”
A gust of wind swept between them, scattering dry leaves. At that moment, both moved simultaneously.
“Death Piercing Cannon!” Pica thrust his hands forward, launching a spherical shockwave.
“Roar!” Goku retaliated with a Kamehameha, but this Kamehameha was black.
The two energy waves collided in the middle, creating a massive energy sphere. As they poured more power into their attacks, sometimes the Death Piercing Cannon would overpower the Kamehameha, pushing towards Goku, and other times the Kamehameha would suppress the Death Piercing Cannon, heading towards Pica.
Goku’s black aura intensified, and he increased the output of his energy, causing his Kamehameha to gradually overpower Pica’s Death Piercing Cannon, slowly pushing it back towards Pica.
“Damn it, even the Nineteen-fold Kaioken isn’t enough?” Pica’s anger was tinged with despair. If his Nineteen-fold Kaioken Death Piercing Cannon couldn’t defeat Goku, what would happen?
“Damn it! I will never give up!!” Pica shouted, increasing the power output in his hands, making his energy wave larger.
“Ah!!”
Pica’s Death Piercing Cannon surged towards Goku, directly overpowering his Kamehameha and reflecting it back at him.
Goku braced himself against Pica’s Death Piercing Cannon, his feet digging into the ground, leaving deep trails as he was pushed backward.
Suddenly, Goku thrust his hands upwards. At the apex in front of Goku, the Death Piercing Cannon shot into the sky, gradually dissipating.
“Huff huff…” Pica panted, his face covered in sweat. He was nearing his physical limits, and Goku wasn’t much better off. His gloves were torn, his palms blackened, and his hands trembled uncontrollably.
“Ah!!” Both charged at each other, exchanging lightning-fast blows, each landing over a hundred strikes in an instant.
Pica moved to the left, stepped forward with his right foot into a right bow stance, crossing his hands in front of his chest and pushing them out to the right. With his power gathering, he struck Goku, sending him staggering backward.
This punch was a variant of the Cannon Punch from Xingyiquan, incredibly powerful.
Goku halted his retreat by digging in his right foot, pivoting on it, and launched himself back at Pica.
Pica positioned his legs shoulder-width apart, held his right palm horizontally, and clenched his left fist at his waist. His right palm shot towards Goku’s chin, pushing it upwards, making Goku tilt his head back.
Retracting his right hand, he placed it at his waist and struck Goku’s abdomen with his left palm, causing Goku to hunch over and spit out bile, his eyes bulging.
Pica swept his right foot to the side, making Goku lose his balance and start to fall left. But would Pica let him? No!
Pica lunged forward, throwing three rapid punches into Goku’s stomach, each punch like a hammer driving Goku further into the ground.
Goku tumbled across the ground, finally stopping after several rolls, his body shaking uncontrollably. He struggled to stand, his legs wobbly, barely able to stay upright.
Why was Goku unsteady? Because Pica’s punches had struck critical points on his body. Hits to these areas could easily lead to severe injury or death.
This showed just how tough Goku’s body was. Pica’s full-strength punches, if landed on someone like Fei Li, would be fatal in one blow.
“It’s over!!” Pica charged at Goku, leaping into the air as he neared him.
Pica kicked Goku with his left foot, spinning mid-air, and landed another kick with his right foot. Using the force from these kicks, he spun again and struck Goku’s chest with the toe of his left foot, followed by his right.
“Ah, da!” Landing, Pica wiped his thumb across his nose, his left hand on his abdomen, and his right hand in front of his mouth.
Goku lay flat on the ground, his black armor shattering piece by piece into powder. A black shadow emerged from his body.
“Takarus, last time you ambushed me for no reason. This time I destroy your shadow. Next time we meet, I’ll defeat you.” Pica growled at the shadow, firing a Ki blast that obliterated it.
With the shadow destroyed, Goku returned to normal, his energy still somewhat weak.
Suddenly, Pica was wracked with pain, collapsing to his knees and trembling uncontrollably.
“Vroom vroom—”
A roaring sound approached from a distance. A chubby man in a sports car kicked up dust as he sped towards them.
Screeech—
The car drifted to a stop in front of Pica, raising a cloud of dust.
“Cough cough.” Pica tried to wave the dust away but found he couldn’t move without intense pain.
“Who is Pica? Cough cough, who the hell kicks up this much dust? Damn it!”
The chubby man jumped out, fanning the dust away, then saw the wounded Pica. He ran over and fed him a Senzu Bean. With his injuries healed, Pica looked at the chubby man.
The man wore a striped kimono, wooden sandals, and a samurai sword at his waist, holding a small bag. It was obvious this was Yajirobe.
“I am Pica, thanks for the help.” Pica stood and gratefully addressed the short, stout man before him.
“So you’re the guy. Here, Korin sent these Senzu Beans for you. There aren’t many, but they should be enough.” Yajirobe tossed a bag of Senzu Beans, then crossed his arms, looking at Pica with a mix of anger and fear.
Pica smiled as he looked at the bag. These Senzu Beans were crucial now, as they could heal Lucia and Fei Li.
“Thanks a lot, this means a lot to me.” Pica said, flying towards Lucia and Fei Li.
After Pica flew off, Yajirobe patted his chest, exhaling. “Scary guy, this must be the one Korin mentioned who fought the two great demons. The pressure he gives off is terrifying. Wait, isn’t that Goku?”
Yajirobe saw Goku lying on the ground, badly injured, and ran over to feed him a Senzu Bean. Goku’s injuries healed, but he didn’t wake up.
Pica knelt beside Lucia, supporting her neck with his left arm and gently placing a Senzu Bean at her mouth. “Here, open your mouth. This Senzu Bean will heal your wounds.”
Lucia, seemingly hearing Pica’s voice despite being unconscious, opened her mouth and chewed the bean.
“Mm!” Lucia’s eyes opened, and seeing her healed body and herself in Pica’s arms, she blushed. “Is this… a Senzu Bean?”
“Yes, it’s a Senzu Bean. Let’s go help Fei Li now.” Pica said, carrying Lucia as he flew towards Fei Li.
Landing, Lucia lightly slapped Pica, her face red. “Put me down, this looks so improper…”
“Oh, right.” Pica set her down, kneeling to feed Fei Li a Senzu Bean.
“Did we win?” Fei Li asked coldly as he stood up.
“Who do you think I am? How could I lose?” Pica boasted.
“Hmm.”
“This place is in ruins. What about history? Trunks said not to alter it. How can Goku and Piccolo have their match now?” Pica wondered, looking around at the destroyed area.
“Don’t worry. Trunks prepared for this.” Lucia said, throwing out two capsules, revealing a machine and a small box.
Lucia opened the box, took out some seeds, and scattered them. The seeds quickly grew into towering trees.
Fei Li operated the machine, which extended an instrument several meters high. Two lasers shot from it, encompassing the destroyed area.
After several rotations, the stones and newly grown trees disintegrated into particles, which rapidly reformed into the World Martial Arts Tournament arena and surrounding buildings, as if copied and pasted.
“Wow, that’s amazing.” Pica was awestruck. Even Yajirobe gaped at the buildings that had appeared out of nowhere.
“Time to go.” Fei Li said, packing up the machine and box.
“Yeah, let’s go.” Lucia nodded at Pica, pulling him along.
Pica looked at Piccolo, lying in a pool of blood, and said to Fei Li and Lucia, “Wait!”
Pica threw a Senzu Bean into Piccolo’s mouth. Piccolo’s injuries healed, but he didn’t wake up.
“Let’s go.” Pica said to Lucia and Fei Li, and the three flew into the sky, disappearing.
As he flew, Pica laughed, “Yajirobe, next time I’ll treat you to a big meal, haha.”
“Sure, I’ll be waiting.” Yajirobe waved excitedly, then muttered, “Wait, I didn’t tell him my name. How did he know I’m Yajirobe?”
In the distance, a suited man with a microphone, the tournament announcer, ran over, fuming. “Where is he? I’ll kill that guy who threw me into the sea, unforgivable!”
He looked around but didn’t see Pica. Running over to Yajirobe, he grabbed Yajirobe by the collar and angrily said, “Where is that guy?”
“He left!”
“He left? Damn it!!”
