The trio looked on in horror as a barely alive terrorist on the ground managed to fire a shot at them before dying with a sinister smile.
The lizard, an undead creature, was alerted and noticed the three trying to escape.
“Roar!”
A deep, angry roar emanated from the lizard’s undead creature. Although it was a lower-level undead and couldn’t speak, it possessed a certain level of intelligence.
It leaped into action, rapidly chasing after the trio.
“Quick, get up! Climb up!”
In a frantic scramble, the three quickly climbed up the sandpit.
First, they pulled Tennoji up, and then Tennoji pulled Dr. Ethan up. Just as Tony was pulled up, a sharp claw swiped dangerously close, grazing his shoe and striking the sand wall violently. Bang! The impact created a huge crack in the sand wall, a testament to the undead creature’s formidable strength.
After climbing up, the three didn’t look back and started running.
“Get in the car, let’s go!”
They jumped into a vehicle left by the Ten Commandments gang members, pressed the accelerator, and sped away.
But the lizard, an undead creature, leaped after them, stubbornly pursuing the trio and seemingly unwilling to let them go.
“F*ck, why has it stopped?”
However, it wasn’t long before Tony and Dr. Ethan felt the SUV slowing down.
“We’re out of gas! Damn it!”
In frustration, Tennoji slammed his hands on the steering wheel and immediately jumped out of the vehicle.
“What are we waiting for? Run!”
Tennoji roared.
“F*ck, I swear this is the worst day of my life!”
Tony and Dr. Ethan, feeling utterly helpless, could only start running as well.
The lizard undead creature made several large bounds and quickly caught up!
And just then—
Swoosh!
A missile streaked in, striking right beside the lizard undead creature.
The massive blast wave sent the lizard undead creature flying.
A U.S. Apache attack helicopter quickly approached from the horizon.
“It’s the military, and I knew they wouldn’t abandon me. Who else but Tony Stark?”
Tony burst into laughter, thrilled:
“See? The weapons on this helicopter are all made by Stark Industries!”
“Yeah, your weapons killed millions in the Middle East, and members of the Ten Commandments gang stole these weapons, so they almost killed you too!”
Dr. Ethan remarked somberly from the side.
“I…”
Tony was momentarily speechless, thinking over Dr. Ethan’s words, which indeed had some truth to them. His company’s weapons had indeed become accessories to some people’s crimes.
“Mr. Tony Stark! I’m glad you’re alive, but what is that creature? Why did it survive a direct hit from a Stinger missile?”
The Apache helicopter hovered above, its rotors whipping up the sand around the trio, who squinted and scowled at the undead lizard creature not far from them.
The creature seemed unharmed and even more enraged despite being hit by a missile. “It’s a long story, but you only need to know that this thing can’t be killed. Use the Gatling gun to counter it!” Tony said, his eyes filled with both seriousness and excitement.
He was undeniably fascinated by the undead creature, eager to discover its structure—whether it couldn’t be killed or if a unique method was required to defeat it.
“Can we capture it?” Tony mused as the 30mm caliber Gatling gun forced the undead lizard to retreat continually. “It’s tough with just one helicopter; we need more support! But I’ve already called for backup; maybe we can try to capture it!”
“Alright, do your best to capture it! You won’t regret it!” he shouted.
In the blink of an eye, the roles of hunter and hunted had switched. Under the heavy firepower of the Apache, even the formidable undead lizard could only dodge the relentless barrage of bullets and missiles.
However, it simply could not be killed! Sometimes, the creature would enter a stasis, its body faintly glowing white as it seemingly weakened—a significant vulnerability!
But no matter how much it was attacked during this period, it wouldn’t die.
After half a minute, the undead lizard would quickly regenerate, lively as ever on the desert sands.
The sight stunned the group, and Tony was even more determined to capture it.
Soon, five more Apache helicopters arrived to support them. Under their fierce gunfire, the undead lizard was confined to a small area.
“Try to capture it. Use adamantium ropes!” Tony commanded.
As the helicopters landed and the creature entered its stasis state, several soldiers rushed forward, binding the undead lizard with metallic ropes, ensuring its bladed tail and claws were restrained.
After carefully examining it to ensure the creature couldn’t escape, they loaded it onto a helicopter.
“Wait, there’s something else. Bring it along!” Tony said, leading the group to a hole near a pyramid to retrieve the Seal of Binding.
The vast pyramid caught the attention of the American soldiers, who eagerly reported it to their superiors.
However, the Seal of Binding and the details of the undead lizard were kept under wraps due to Tony’s influence.
“Finally, we can go back!” the trio sighed with relief as they sat in the helicopter, watching the desert grow distant. They would always remember the events of these past days.
…
The scene shifts back to New York.
Inside the Jerome Intelligence Building.
Lin Wusheng and Skye share a tender moment, which is hard to part.
Izzy, the secretary, watched them, lost in thought.
Bang bang!
Suddenly, the office door was knocked on.
Lin Wusheng quickly withdrew his hand from Skye’s collar, and Skye removed her hand from Lin’s pants.
“Come in!” Lin Wusheng said softly.
“Mr. Jerome, someone is looking for you!” Agent Hill entered swiftly, her demeanor tense as if she had encountered something urgent.
“Who’s looking for me?” Lin Wusheng was surprised; he had no appointments today other than planning to spend the afternoon with Skye.
“He says… he might be your cousin!” Hill said with a peculiar expression.
“Cousin?” Lin Wusheng and Skye exchanged a look, seeing the surprise in each other’s eyes.
