Hill continued driving toward the estate’s inner sanctum.
Passing through various gardens and woods, they finally arrived at the heart of the estate.
There, a massive castle-like structure loomed, its grandeur undeniable.
In the center of the castle was a vast lawn scattered with various sculptures and flowers, and uniquely designed fountains added to its elegance and solemnity.
The car slowly entered the underground parking garage of the castle.
The subterranean space was a revelation, resembling something from a futuristic world.
Hill took the opportunity to snap pictures with her smartwatch and then, following Lin Wusheng’s orders, led Lin Lie and Jiang Feicheng into the castle.
But the figure they encountered inside gave the trio a start.
“Yondu?”
Agent Hill stared at the SHUMAGIA resembling Yondu, her pupils contracting.
“No way! I’m not that guy Yondu!”
But the SHUMAGIA who looked very much like Yondu haughtily said:
“You must be the master’s guests, right? Welcome to Zemo Estate, I am the butler here, my name is Jarvis!”
While speaking, his SHUMAGIA module flashed with red light.
Hill looked closely, and noticed that his pupils and a few strands of hair were also red.
Hill quickly realized that this was not Yondu, but another SHUMAGIA.
A SHUMAGIA with a personality completely different from Yondu!
“Hello! I am…”
“I know who you are, just a useless assistant recruited by my incompetent sister!”
Jarvis glanced at Hill, his lips curling slightly, his demeanor somewhat disdainful.
“Ahem, saying that might be a bit rude!”
Lin Lie, seeing Hill being mocked, couldn’t help but speak up for her.
“I might be rude, but that’s better than being poor relatives from the countryside begging for food!”
Jarvis looked at Lin Lie, sarcastically saying:
“What, when my master was struggling, I didn’t see you recognizing him as family. As soon as he became world-famous, you emerged like worms after rain?”
“You! I’m not begging for anything!”
Lin Lie’s face turned red, unsure how to retort.
“What did she say? Why do you all look upset? Did she insult you?”
Jiang Feicheng quietly asked Lin Lie, as his English was poor and he couldn’t understand Jarvis’s words.
“Look! There’s an illiterate one here too!”
Jarvis chuckled, looking at Jiang Feicheng, and spoke in fluent Mandarin, his face showing disdain.
“I’m not illiterate!”
Jiang Feicheng clenched his teeth:
“I could make it to a top university!”
“How good are your grades? How much did you score in English?”
“I…”
In just two minutes, Hill, Lin Lie, and Jiang Feicheng were both embarrassed and annoyed, feeling extremely uncomfortable.
“Alright! No matter which countryside you come from, the master’s orders are absolute! He asked me to give you a tour of the estate, so follow me! Don’t wander off, be careful not to be mistaken for thieves or spies!”
After speaking, Jarvis walked off, not caring whether they followed.
The trio, holding back their anger, naturally didn’t want to put up with any more abuse.
They found a place to sit and waited for Lin Wusheng’s arrival.
They didn’t have to wait long.
Two hours later, Lin Wusheng and Skye arrived at the estate.
“Brother Saint!”
Lin Lie’s address had changed, now calling him brother.
Jiang Feicheng followed suit.
Lin Wusheng acknowledged them all, much to Lin Lie and Jiang Feicheng’s delight, indicating that Lin Wusheng had begun to accept them.
“Hey, you didn’t go on the tour with Jarvis?” Lin Wusheng asked, puzzled.
“Cough, she’s a bit too enthusiastic! We were too shy to say anything,” Lin Lie replied awkwardly, scratching his head without wanting to speak ill of Jarvis.
“Ah, that guy!” Lin Wusheng shook his head, seemingly resigned about Jarvis’s behavior. “Don’t take her words to heart, she can be quite sharp-tongued.”
Hearing this, Skye also grimaced. Jarvis indeed had a venomous tongue, targeting everyone except Lin Wusheng. Several times, Skye had even considered destroying Jarvis. But considering how well Jarvis managed the Zemo Estate, she let it go.
“It’s fine, those words don’t really matter!” Lin Lie was now very humble and a bit embarrassed.
He had come to recognize Lin Wusheng not for his wealth, but genuinely just wanted to reconnect with his relative. Whether poor or rich, he wouldn’t judge.
But Jarvis’s words had embarrassed him greatly, making it seem like he was there just for the money.
It was actually Jiang Feicheng who was there for the money!
Lin Lie shot a fierce glance at Jiang Feicheng.
Normally, Jiang was eloquent and had great social skills.
But in front of Lin Wusheng, he became extremely reserved.
“Let’s go to the restaurant! I see… it’s Restaurant Number Three. I’ve prepared a full Manchu Han Imperial Feast,” Lin Wusheng checked his phone.
After all, there were seven or eight restaurants here, and he needed to check to avoid confusion.
By the time Lin Lie and Hill arrived at the restaurant, they found that Lin Wusheng had indeed prepared a full Manchu Han Imperial Feast.
Silver platters with hundreds of dishes were laid out on a long dining table. Whatever they wanted to eat, the SHUMAGIA maid would bring it over.
Even some of the endangered animals they had seen earlier were now served on the dining table.
Lin Lie and Jiang Feicheng exchanged glances, both overwhelmed.
Eating endangered animals was unthinkable!
Just for this meal, they could be sentenced to life in their hometown.
“Xiaolie, are you planning to apply to Tsinghua University?” Lin Wusheng inevitably chatted with Lin Lie and Jiang Feicheng at the dining table.
“Yes! My grades should be fine,” Lin Lie nodded, adding, “I scored over 700 in the last mock exam.”
“That’s not bad!” Lin Wusheng nodded approvingly, then frowned slightly, as if calculating something.
Soon, he spoke up:
“Have you considered going to the U.S. for your undergraduate studies?”
“Studying in the U.S.? I have thought about it, but there are only three months left until the college entrance exam…”
“No problem! I’ll write you a recommendation letter, and you can pick any university in the U.S. But I won’t help with your degree certification; you’ll need to study hard at the university yourself. I don’t engage in academic dishonesty!”
“That’s fine! I can definitely do it!” Lin Lie’s eyes lit up, nodding vigorously.
Unlike his father and brother, Lin Lie was a science student, aspiring to top science institutions like Princeton and MIT.
This wasn’t because Lin Lie idealized foreign institutions, but because he wanted to “learn from the best to eventually surpass them.”
“Then it’s settled! I’ll transfer your student records from China to here, and you’ll study in a U.S. high school for three months. This way, moving directly from a U.S. high school to university, no one can criticize it!”
Lin Wusheng then turned to Jiang Feicheng:
“Ah Cheng, the same goes for you! You can choose any school in the U.S.!”
“Me? Thanks, brother! You’re now my real big brother!”
Jiang Feicheng was thrilled by the unexpected benefit.
“I’ll just follow Lin Lie, whichever university he chooses. Graduating from an Ivy League school might be tough for me, but I’ll study English hard and spread our family’s herbal medicine shop across America! Then I can drop out, and everyone will think it’s because I was too busy with my business to continue my studies!”
Jiang Feicheng was delighted by the thought.
“No problem! Young people should take on challenges!”
Lin Wusheng nodded.
“You talk as if you’re not young yourself!” Skye held Lin Wusheng’s hand, giving him a playful look.
“True!” Lin Wusheng belatedly realized. After all, his body was still in its early twenties, indeed very young.
“This world, will I conquer it in the future? Surely I will!” Lin Wusheng’s eyes blazed with ambition.
