In the dark of night, the kunai gleamed menacingly as it was aimed straight at Naruto’s back.
The Cloud leader’s grin grew even more sinister, envisioning the gruesome scene of Naruto’s blood splattering.
This brat must be closely related to the blond who hurt me, right?

In a split second, Naruto leaped forward, clutching Hinata, narrowly avoiding the kunai aimed at him.
Shielding Hinata behind him, Naruto pulled a device from his pocket and pointed it at the Cloud leader.
“Stay back!”
The Cloud leader momentarily squinted, staring at the device in Naruto’s hand before bursting into laughter.
“Kid! Do you think that thing is going to scare me? A mere pipe, and you think I’ll let you go?”
Without flinching, the Cloud leader even took a step closer.
He arrogantly pointed to his left chest.
“Shoot here! Let’s see how powerful your toy is!”
Hinata trembled behind Naruto, while Naruto’s hand shook as he gripped the railgun barrel.
He had owned the weapon for some time but had never used it against anyone.
He only knew from his uncle’s description that it was supposed to be powerful.
But he had no idea how powerful it indeed was.
“Kid, don’t even have the guts to use it? In that case, I’ll just take the girl behind you.”
The leader sneered, extending his right hand toward the trembling Hinata.
“Don’t hurt her!”
Summoning strength from somewhere deep inside, Naruto closed his eyes and pulled the trigger.
A sharp noise cut through the night!
The Cloud leader’s pupils trembled, his outstretched hand freezing in mid-air.
Hinata, hiding behind Naruto, covered her mouth in shock.
Even Naruto, who had pulled the trigger, was wide-eyed with disbelief.
The leader’s gaze slowly dropped to his left chest, where he had pointed earlier. It now featured a thumb-sized hole.
“Kid… I can’t believe…”
Before he could finish, his face drained of color, and he collapsed backward like a toppled brick.
“Boss!!!”
The other Cloud ninjas, witnessing this, turned red and furious.
Their boss was dead!
This kid killed him!
“You killed the boss, die!”
The Cloud ninjas who had surrounded Mirai immediately turned their rage toward Naruto!
Even the two Jonin-level Cloud ninjas rushed in his direction.
Realizing Mirai’s identity, they had given up hope of defeating him!
In the Third War, Mirai had once stopped a barrage of kunai with a single finger, a feat still marveled at by many ninjas today.
This blond kid was closely related to the Blue Flash.
If they could capture him, they might use him as leverage to take Hinata away!
A heavy force on their shoulders suddenly yanked them back, halting their charge.
Mirai had placed a hand on each of their shoulders, smiling warmly.

Sweat dripped from their foreheads, their Adam’s apples bobbing nervously as the two Jonin, held by Mirai, didn’t dare resist.
Their legs felt like they were filled with lead, heavy and immobile.
Mirai’s voice was gentle, devoid of any killing intent.
But that gentle voice filled them with a chilling fear, like being watched by a demon!
This man was the infamous Blue Flash of the Third War!
They could only swallow their fear, hoping the five comrades charging at Naruto would succeed.
Five experienced Chunin against a kid with a strange weapon seemed like a sure win, right?
Then why did Mirai look so relaxed, even expectant…

“What do we do?”
Hinata, panicking, clung to Naruto’s shoulder, her pale eyes filled with fear.
Today was her birthday, and she hadn’t even had time to change out of her ceremonial kimono, which was now dirty from the chase.
She looked both noble and pitiful.
Seeing Hinata like this, Naruto felt a surge of strength and stepped in front of her, gripping the railgun tightly.
“Don’t worry, I’ll protect you!”
Though Naruto wasn’t much more extensive than Hinata, he looked incredibly small compared to the five menacing adults.
But somehow, Hinata’s fear eased a little.
“Kid, die!”
The lead Cloud ninja charged, and Kunai aimed at Naruto.
Naruto closed his eyes, acting on instinct, and pulled the trigger.
A blue flash shot through the night.
The charging ninja fell with a thud, sliding several meters before collapsing beside Naruto.
His eyes were wide open!
Blood spurted from his mouth!
A hole identical to the one in the Cloud leader’s chest appeared in his own.
“It’s that move again!”
The other Cloud ninjas’ pupils shrank.
This was the same move that killed their boss!
What kind of ninja tool was this, an instant ninjutsu?
Naruto cautiously opened his eyes without feeling pain, glancing around to see the enemy on the ground. He let out a relieved sigh.
“That scared me!”
Pulling the trigger didn’t require much force, and the railgun had almost no recoil.
To Naruto, defeating the Cloud Ninja didn’t feel real.
He only saw it as using the weapon his uncle had given him to defeat the bad guys bullying Hinata!
“Attack from a distance!”
Seeing the power of Naruto’s railgun, the remaining Cloud ninjas hesitated to get close, instead throwing a flurry of kunai.
“What do we do?”
Hinata clutched Naruto’s shoulder, her face pale with fear.
Naruto was equally panicked.
Was he supposed to shoot the kunai out of the air?
But there were too many!
The kunai were almost upon them, and Naruto could feel the sharp wind cutting at his skin.
“Uncle!”
He closed his eyes tightly.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
There was no pain, no stabbing sensation, only the sound of metal clashing against metal.
Cautiously opening his eyes, Naruto’s mouth dropped open in shock.
Hinata, too, was stunned.
From Naruto’s shadow, a viscous silver fluid shot out, forming an arched metal shield that blocked all the kunai!
The remaining Cloud ninjas were equally stunned.
What the hell!
So many of them couldn’t even take down a kid?
