Marvel Princess Chapter 82

The Wedding

“You guys should take a break. There’s no rush. Bella said they won’t be back for at least two weeks.”

The exhausted Winchester father and son looked up, seeing Violet Harmon sitting on the windowsill, watching them.

Beauty comes in many forms. Some pursue extreme perfection, like Bella, who demands flawlessness. If you say she isn’t perfect, she might punch you! Others, like Natasha, exude an inherent charm, making it hard to resist their allure, even if you know there’s a trap beneath.

Violet Harmon’s beauty was different. It wasn’t aggressive or flashy. When the Winchesters noticed her, she gently smiled, her demeanor serene, like pine sap and honey.

Father and son exchanged glances, remaining silent.

The girl still bore traces of youthfulness. Originally meant to experience the best of her teenage years, she had walked a tragic path due to her disdain for life and her parents’ failing marriage.

Bella and Shao had decimated the other spirits but spared Violet’s ghost, showing hesitation, pity, and mostly sympathy.

Vengeful spirits didn’t kill Violet Harmon; she committed suicide, heavily influenced by her parents’ terrible marriage and her own hatred for the world.

In Violet, Bella saw a reflection of her former self. Bella’s previous incarnation held a similar mindset, rejecting a normal life and wanting to end it all.

Given the nature of the haunted house and the unique circumstances of these spirits, Bella decided to leave the girl behind to watch over the house.

These spirits could interact with the physical world inside the house. If someone tried to steal something, Violet could call the police.

The Winchesters had gone through the Harmon family’s records multiple times, instantly recognizing her.

They too, felt the girl’s death was senseless, uncoerced by spirits, who even tried to save her. Yet, she chose to end her life.

Who was to blame? The Harmon couple? The house? Or herself?

“Where’s your body? I can burn it too,” John said, more focused on getting the job done and less on the complex social issues involved.

Violet’s eyes glazed over for a few seconds before realizing John was speaking to her.

“No need. It’s already been taken care of by Shao.”

Dean Winchester, remembering Shao choking him, frowned. “Is that white-clad one here?”

“No, she’s in San Francisco. Bella is going to school there,” Violet replied.

The father and son chatted with Violet a bit more, hoping to gather information about Bella, but the girl’s answers were vague and often irrelevant.

It took three nights for the Winchesters to clean up the basement, pipes, front yard, and backyard, where bodies were buried.

It was hard to believe so many bodies were buried here!

Bella’s approach was undoubtedly correct. If Charlie and Samantha, as detectives, had unearthed all these bodies, it would bring them no praise, only covert criticism.

For the Winchesters, handling this privately posed no issue. They had channels to dispose of the remains in cemeteries, avoiding public scrutiny.

After dealing with Constance Langdon, listing her as a fugitive, the Winchesters left California.

John Winchester’s age showed; that the intensive labor aggravated his spinal disc problems, necessitating a visit to a chiropractor.

While the Winchesters departed California, Charlie and Samantha celebrated their wedding in Forks.

Charlie invited his ex-wife, Bella’s biological mother, to the wedding, making his intentions clear.

Natasha wore a beige long dress at the wedding, while Bella opted for a champagne-colored gown.

Both were understated, knowing today wasn’t their day to shine.

“Wow! So many handsome men and beautiful women in this town!” Natasha exclaimed upon arriving. The sight of several striking people caught her eye. “Is everyone here this good-looking?”

“Uh, haha… The Cullen family genes… They’re just really fair,” Bella explained, wiping away nonexistent sweat.

The Cullen family was present in full force. Even their distant relatives from Canada, who were visiting, were invited to the wedding.

Seven Cullens plus two distant relatives made for over ten vampires, significantly raising the average attractiveness at the venue.

“Hi, Bella. Long time no see. You’re getting more beautiful,” came a sincere compliment. Bella knew it was Jacob before turning around.

As Charlie’s old friend, the Quileute tribe was well-represented. The middle-aged man in a wheelchair brought almost half the tribe, including over ten young men and women who, in Bella’s perception, burned with a distinct energy, unmistakably werewolves.

“Wow! Are those all your friends? They’re in such good shape!” Natasha whispered after Jacob and his group left.

Just as men appreciate a woman’s figure, women do the same for men!

Werewolves, in human form, had superb physiques and well-defined muscles. Though their faces might not rival vampires, their bodies more than compensated. A 100-point body with an 80-point face averaged out to a solid 90.

The venue overflowed with striking individuals, including Charlie, Samantha, Bella, Bella’s mother, and a few attractive schoolmates.

Even Natasha, usually self-assured, felt a twinge of pressure, hoping she didn’t lower the town’s average attractiveness.

Bella took pride in this. Though she hadn’t lived in Forks long, it was her starting point, providing shelter during her weakest moments. The emotional bond was unique.

With its clear waters and scenic views, Forks had a natural charm unmatched by the grim Prosperity Town.
