What was once a terrifying paranormal scene had now been forcibly turned into an anti-terrorism site by Bella.
In an attempt to show off her knowledge, Bella occasionally explained the words written on the school walls, ceilings, and doors.
She read the ceiling text aloud in a dramatic tone. The words were as black as ink, sharply carved as if etched with a knife.
“Do you not know that we are to judge angels? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? This should be from 1 Corinthians, Mr. Eric, don’t you think?” Bella asked.
Agent 006 nodded perfunctorily, “Oh, yes, you really know a lot.”
Bella took this praise to heart, feeling satisfied.
She quickly pointed to the wall, where there were words written in what looked like blood: “Evil shall slay the wicked; those who hate the righteous will be condemned. This is from the Old Testament, Psalms. Why would they use this here?”
006 furrowed his brows, his knowledge of the Bible long forgotten. Seeing Bella seriously studying the words, he instinctively asked, “Why?”
Bella, eager for his praise, explained a few sentences.
As she continued to recite these phrases, the atmosphere in the school grew increasingly heavy.
Even without understanding magic, 006 could sense something was off.
“Is there something evil around us? This place feels too…” He couldn’t find the words.
“That’s your imagination. I assure you, there are no supernatural beings around us right now.”
“Then, what have you discovered from studying these biblical phrases?”
Bella combined her knowledge with clues from the scene and gave a brief explanation.
“This is a religious cult that committed evil deeds under the guise of divine will. They used righteousness as an excuse and God’s name to do the most evil and terrifying things. Eventually, they unleashed the mysterious forces dormant beneath this land, dragging themselves and the entire town into the abyss.”
006 used his limited religious knowledge to analyze, “You mean that thirty years ago, there were people here who blasphemed against God?”
Bella was uncertain, “Perhaps they still believed themselves to be righteous. They used a so-called grand goal to incite the fervent belief of the majority, imposing their will on the minority, even deciding life and death. They thought this was God’s will, putting all the blame on God.”
006 immediately understood, “Like how 007 sacrifices me for the mission and for the Queen of England?”
Bella shrugged, “Something like that.”
They searched the campus, wondering why Rose could run so far. Just as they finished searching a few classrooms on the first and second floors, a sharp and urgent air raid siren sounded outside.
“What’s that?” 006 was confused.
Bella didn’t hesitate, grabbing him and running outside. The time in the outer world was ending; the inner world was coming!
She also used her psychic power to call Xiao, summoning the pickup truck to meet them.
The pickup was crucial for their escape from Silent Hill, and it was loaded with weapons and ammunition—losing it was not an option.
In Silent Hill, the pickup had lost its ghost stealth ability, but its body was still extremely sturdy, crashing through the school gates and smashing a large hole in the office.
With Rose nowhere to be found, Bella activated the backup plan, deciding to hold their position at the school and withstand the inner world’s time.
The air raid siren blared incessantly, and 006, who had just calmed down, grew tense again.
The school walls began peeling in large patches, revealing not plaster but dark brown, moldy blood stains underneath. These stains started converging in patterns, then gravitated downward, leaving countless mold spots on the walls.
Chunks of cement fell away, exposing corroded, deformed steel bars inside.
The campus remained empty, but the dark sky and wind-blown rusted windmills made the environment increasingly eerie.
As they reached the first floor, still a hundred meters from the pickup, darkness fell!
006 felt as though he was suddenly in an extremely crowded space. He tried to see his surroundings, but the pitch-black environment robbed him of his sight. He couldn’t see his hand in front of his face; everything was dark.
“You have a plan for this, right?”
“Of course.”
The megaphone continued to loop the calls of “Sharon—Rose—” but the previously awkward voice now sounded distorted and raw, mixed with a lot of static, the tone completely different from before.
“Mr. Eric, don’t be nervous. This is normal,” Bella calmly explained beside him.
This terrifying change was normal?
006 struggled to stay calm, trying to use his scientific knowledge to explain the anomalies around him.
Bella ignored his anxiety and cleared her throat: “I say, let there be light!”
A sneer seemed to echo in the darkness, followed by heavy footsteps.
“You have to oversee an entire space, but I only need to break through one point. You’re not my match!”
Bella spoke confidently, using her psychic power to suppress the negative energy of the inner world, attempting to glimpse its entire framework.
Negative energy accumulated quickly, but like demonic cultivation, it had many impurities and hidden dangers. Bella’s progress was slow but steady, with pure, untainted energy that was entirely hers.
The first clash left Bella slightly ahead. Her energy only needed to break through a single point, while the opponent had to manage an entire interlayer space—a significant difference in difficulty.
A ray of light pierced through the darkness, followed by more light converging to form a glowing orb, illuminating a three-to-four-meter radius.
The inner world remained bloody, dark, and corrupted, but Bella’s light orb had a purifying effect in its small area.
006 was about to marvel at this incredible ability when Bella suddenly pushed him down.
“Get down!”
006 instinctively ducked, seeing a massive two-meter-long machete sweep over his head.
The heavy, sharp blade reeked of blood, with countless souls wailing in its blood groove. Such a massive weapon would surely kill him if it struck!
