Marvel Princess Chapter 98

Alessa's Past

A combination of continuous gunfire, a Javelin anti-tank missile, Bella’s ice rapier, and two lightning rapiers, with a final psychic shock, was needed to deliver a fatal blow to Pyramid Head. His resilience was truly formidable.

An ordinary person with a crowbar or pipe wrench would only have the option to flee when facing Pyramid Head.

“Is that monster dead?” 006 tentatively asked.

“For now,” Bella replied.

Her answer left him puzzled. “For now”? Does that mean it could come back in a few days?

They hurriedly regrouped with the pickup truck, reorganized their weapons and ammunition, and then faced a wave of small enemies.

These enemies were numerous, averaging about a meter in height, resembling children but with dark green, mucous-like skin, no facial features, and sharp knives in their hands. They cackled sinisterly.

There was no hesitation—just shoot!

These creatures were scary but not very strong or fast. With a truckload of ammunition backing them up, there was nothing to fear.

The sound of gunfire echoed in the schoolyard, mixed with the cackling of the small creatures and the cries of “Sharon—Rose—” from the pink megaphone.

006 wanted to turn off the megaphone; the serious monster fight contrasted sharply with the megaphone’s desperate shouts, making it hard to focus. But he worried that if he turned it off, they might miss his wife and child.

Endure it! Pretend to be deaf!

Bella, casually wielding a shotgun with one hand, fired at the enemies. 006 and Xiao formed a crossfire with her. The slow-moving, single-attack enemies were no match for them.

“Watch the left!” Bella shouted, bashing a small creature away with her shotgun butt.

“What are these things?! What are we fighting?” 006 couldn’t help but ask.

Bella explained while reloading, “You investigated Silent Hill and know about a girl named Alessa, right?”

“Yes, but that was thirty years ago.”

“Mr. Eric, remember, what we discuss has no relation to time. In the world of thoughts and the mind, what is time?”

Knowing he wouldn’t understand, Bella continued, “These creatures are the classmates who bullied Alessa. In simple terms, it’s school violence: mocking, insulting, humiliating, and beating. Alessa twisted them into these forms in her mental world because she saw them as bad people.

“They’re ugly, disgusting, but that’s it. Alessa doesn’t really hate them.”

006 drew his pistol and shot a creature trying to sneak up from behind.

They look like this, and she doesn’t hate them?

Xiao also showed confusion, “Send me home?”

Bella pointed to a corner, “Look there. Someone Alessa truly hates is coming.”

006 and Xiao both looked curiously.

A man with his lower body twisted and legs bent backward over his head, resembling a giant shrimp, crawled out of the corner. His eyes were gouged out, the sockets filled with black sludge, and he hissed like a snake, sticking out his tongue. Iron wires pierced through his body, causing extensive rot.

The man crawled mainly with his hands, but since his arms were bound to his back by wires, he could barely move, inching forward slowly.

Xiao, with her limited vocabulary, couldn’t help but exclaim, “Send me home!”

006, a seasoned agent, had seen many dark things. Realizing Bella focused on Alessa, and piecing together limited information, he deduced a rough idea.

“Is this another of Alessa’s enemies? Looks like a—”

“Yes, classmates mocking, insulting, and bullying might be endurable. But when the school janitor also bullied Alessa, it led to her tragedy. His vile actions pushed a young girl into the abyss.”

Though a man, 006 despised such bullies. They deserved to go to hell!

Bella picked up her rifle, aiming with interest, and shot the shrimp-like man’s left hand.

He howled in pain, moving even slower.

“This guy is like a punching bag. Alessa didn’t kill him to torture him. The more we hurt him, the happier Alessa gets. Gentlemen, ladies, let’s begin.”

Taking her lead, the three switched to rifles, turning the shrimp-like man into target practice. Every visible part of his body was riddled with bullets.

Bella aimed to dissolve Alessa’s resentment, avoiding lethal shots. 006 and Xiao understood the gist, firing conservatively.

The knife-wielding small creatures were all dealt with, and the shrimp-like man was brutally toyed with. Xiao eventually circled around and blew up his “important tool” for moving forward.

The inner world lasted nearly an hour before finally ending.

The walls returned to normal, the rusty fans stopped spinning, and the environment reverted to its original state as if nothing had changed.

They resumed searching the school, finally finding footprints at the west gate.

“They likely went out the west gate. There are only a few possible places they could go,” 006 said, studying the map of Silent Hill. The three got in the truck and followed the tracks deeper into town.

An hour later, they encountered another challenge.

In the center of Silent Hill, at a hotel filled with debris and scorch marks, they found traces of Sharon and Rose.

The scene was chaotic, with two bullet casings indicating a fight. The footprints split—one set, likely Rose’s, with several rain boot prints, headed east. Another, clearly a child’s, was dragged west by numerous other prints.

Rose was important, but Sharon was even more critical. They had no choice but to split up.
