“Alright, I understand. I’ll be there to observe,” Hawking said, hanging up the phone in the school’s combat simulation room.
Since the school year started, with the full support of the Xavier family, the Hero Alliance International Company had fully settled into its operations. Thanks to his cooperation with Nick Fury, everything was smooth on the government side, without any interference.
So, he assigned many tasks to his shadow clones, handling only the more critical matters himself and spending most of his time at the school to enhance his abilities.
Magic, ninjutsu, physical training, and now the new powers from Ichigo Kurosaki—all required time to convert into his strength.
The phone call he had just received was from Victor Von Doom. Poor Doom had informed him that, according to Reed’s calculations, they would be heading to space for the solar storm experiment in a few days. He invited Hawking to observe the spaceship’s launch beforehand.
With the Hero Alliance’s rapid growth and worldwide fame, it was destined to become a behemoth. Hawking, as the world-saving superhero, naturally gained Doom’s attention. Doom likely wanted to use this opportunity to strengthen ties with Hawking, hoping for future collaboration.
Hawking didn’t refuse. He needed to keep an eye on Reed and ensure he returned to help develop the gravity equipment after this experiment.
He had considered going to space and exposing himself to the solar storm, hoping to awaken some new power. But ultimately, he decided against it. The potential risks were too high, given the mix of bloodlines in his body. A mishap could be disastrous. It was better to develop his existing powers, each with immense potential.
In this world, many things were destined. It wasn’t as simple as it seemed on the surface, with many underlying connections. For instance, Peter Parker became Spider-Man from a spider bite, but if someone else had been bitten, they might have just died from the venom. The Fantastic Four and Doom gained powers from the solar storm, but others might have disintegrated.
It’s best not to touch powers he couldn’t control.
“Hawking, what are you going to observe?” Wanda, who had been eavesdropping on his call, asked curiously after he hung up.
Hawking smiled, “Observing the spaceship launch and a space experiment.”
“I’ve never seen a spaceship. Can you take me with you, Hawking?” Wanda asked, eyes gleaming with excitement.
It seemed so romantic to imagine them together at sunset, watching the spaceship launch, the wind blowing through their clothes. Wasn’t this like a date?
Hawking shook his head, “No, it’s on a Wednesday, and you have classes. I’ll take you another time during a break.”
He believed schooling was important and shouldn’t be interrupted casually. That’s why he refused Wanda’s requests to join the Hero Alliance as a superhero after Christmas. He felt Wanda and Pietro should at least graduate before pursuing superhero activities.
Additionally, he needed to prepare for them. For Pietro, a robust suit was essential. He didn’t want Pietro getting hurt like in the movies.
“Please, brother! There’s no academic class that day, just training our abilities. I’ve been training with you daily, and my control is excellent now,” Wanda pleaded, clutching Hawking’s arm and swaying it.
“You also promised to take me shopping for keeping your secret, but we haven’t gone yet,” she added.
Seeing Wanda’s determined look, Hawking sighed. Wanda indeed had good control over her powers now. Training or not wouldn’t make much difference. So, he finally nodded, “Alright, I’ll take you.”
Having Wanda use her chaos magic for his training, taking her out for a day seemed fair.
“Should we take Pi—” Hawking began, but Wanda cut him off, “No need. He fell using his powers last time and needs to focus on his classes.”
A good two-person outing shouldn’t be spoiled by Pietro.
“Alright, just us then. It’s Sunday, and my gravity training is done. Go have fun,” Hawking said, nodding.
Though he had considered pairing Pietro with Susan Storm, she wasn’t interested in a fourteen-year-old.
“Great, see you later,” Wanda said, happy, and left the training room.
Usually, she trained with Hawking at night on weekdays and during the day on weekends.
“It’s about time,” Hawking noted, checking the clock in the training room, and loaded the Naruto template.
With no significant events these days, he dedicated an hour each day to visiting Konoha, familiarizing himself with the environment, and building goodwill.
To prevent issues from Kurama’s sudden absence during battles, he arranged with Naruto in advance. Today was the agreed time.
Using reverse summoning to Mount Myoboku, Naruto then summoned him to Konoha.
“Hey, Naruto, training again?” Hawking greeted, seeing the many shadow clones training chakra nature transformation.
“Afternoon, Kakashi, Yamato,” he waved to the lounging Kakashi and the exhausted Yamato.
After failing to bring Sasuke back, Naruto sought to increase his power, and Kakashi devised a training plan utilizing shadow clones to shorten the training time drastically.
“Hawking, you’re finally here. I can take a break,” Yamato said, relieved to see Hawking.
