Tony hadn’t been standing there long before the area gradually began to fill with more people.
As he heard voices, Tony turned around and noticed that each person’s face was covered in a layer of mist, which allowed only slight distinctions but made it impossible to see through or remember any distinctive features.
“Cough cough, friend, where did you buy that armor you’re wearing?” a muscular guy approached Tony, sizing him up before asking.
Tony turned without changing his expression and observed the newcomer. By his looks, he didn’t seem to be an engineer, perhaps another profession.
“Why do you ask? Thinking of buying?” Tony inquired.
Aje nodded with a naïve smile, “Yes, it looks very imposing.”
Tony thought for a moment. Aje’s remark gave him an idea: perhaps he could expand Stark Industries here?
“Well, I won’t let you just talk for nothing,” Aje continued. “You look like you’re new here. I can introduce you to the Main God Space. The information fee is half-price, just 100 points.”
Hearing this, Tony suddenly looked up. Was this simple guy a seasoned player?
“No need for the fee. Ensure your introduction is good, and I’ll custom-make a suit for you. How about that?” Tony proposed.
“No problem…”
Indeed, Aje was not recruited by Qiyun; instead, he was a dependent created by Qiyun using energy points.
There weren’t many such beings because, although entities like Aje started with high combat abilities as Qiyun’s dependents, they couldn’t stabilize worlds like Tony and other suitable candidates could.
The more dependents there were, the slower Qiyun’s development would be.
After a good tour of some significant buildings, Tony had temporarily accepted this person before him.
From their brief interaction, this person was straightforward, someone who spoke directly and to the point.
“Thanks for the long introduction,” Tony said to Aje, grateful for the hours saved in familiarizing himself with the Main God Space.
“What functions do you need in your armor? I’ll try to accommodate them all,” Tony continued.
“Functions?” Aje scratched his head, puzzled.
“No special functions needed. Just make it look like this. I plan to use it as a display model in my room.”
“What?!” Tony was utterly taken aback.
“Ha ha ha, you misunderstood,” Aje laughed. “A functional armor is worth over a hundred points, and I don’t need that.”
Aje then thumped his chest, making a sound like a drum. “Muscle is my strongest weapon!”
Tony gave an awkward smile and said nothing but decided internally that the armor for Aje had to be made from the best materials and technology, impressive enough to drop jaws.
In the Marvel world, Qiyun sat in his home, curtains drawn back, sunlight shining directly on him.
Suddenly, Qiyun’s eyes opened, sensing the first suitable candidate returning to the Marvel world.
At Tony’s house, The Ancient One almost simultaneously sensed the emergence of an anomaly.
However, The Ancient One didn’t act as Qiyun might have expected by inviting a suitable candidate for tea.
She merely sat still as if she hadn’t noticed anything. If it weren’t for Qiyun sensing The Ancient One’s power fluctuations around the suitable candidate, he might have been fooled.
Qiyun’s Main God Space has a rule: a suitable candidate cannot stay in space for more than three days between two missions.
Other suitable candidates also gradually returned. Tony was the first to complete his mission but was among the last to leave.
When Tony left the Main God Space, Qiyun had already prepared for a potential confrontation with The Ancient One.
However, when Tony returns, The Ancient One does not make a move.
She stood up, her hands glowing with magical symbols, layers of space blocking Qiyun’s view, and then The Ancient One disappeared.
During this time, Tony had stayed in his home, not moving an inch.
This outcome puzzled Qiyun, but he decided not to dwell on it anymore, as too much time had already been wasted in a standoff with The Ancient One.
As long as The Ancient One did not actively target the suitable candidates, Qiyun had no intention of focusing his thoughts on this Supreme Sorcerer anymore.
Qiyun headed to his dependents’ headquarters in the Main God Space.
“Aje, how was your interaction with Tony Stark?” Qiyun asked the sweaty, musclebound creature.
“Huh?” Aje blinked, “Tony Stark? Who’s that?”
Smack! Qiqi, with her petite figure, smacked Aje’s head with her fan, “Dummy! You should address him respectfully!”
“Oh…” Aje looked slightly wrong, “Who is this, Mr. Tony Stark?”
Smack, smack, smack! Qiqi jumped up and delivered a triple smack, “Not that person; you should address our leader respectfully!”
“Huh?” Aje stood still, a question mark over his head, “Our leader should address whom respectfully?”
“Ah! You’re making me dizzy,” Qiqi kicked Aje frustratedly.
Then she bowed to Qiyun, “Lord, it’s not Aje’s fault. When you transformed him, his brain got mixed up with muscle.”
Qiyun chuckled as he watched the interaction between the two, enjoying the lively atmosphere they created; it kept the home from feeling too dull.
“That’s alright, no need to be so formal,” Qiyun waved his hand.
“Tony Stark is the one known as Iron Man,” Qiyun continued, “Having interacted with him for so long, did you notice anything?”
“Nope,” Aje rubbed his head.
“Not exactly,” Qiqi jumped in to clarify, “Lord, what Aje meant was there were no issues.”
“I’ve just reviewed their entire conversation,” Qiqi said, straightening her clothes seriously before continuing.
“It seems due to changes in the timeline, and because Ethan didn’t die, Tony Stark, although reluctant to sell weapons to others, wasn’t as exaggerated as in the original storyline.”
“The current Tony Stark is just a rich young man who barely escaped death and is slightly more mature, still far from the future Iron Man.”
Qiyun nodded, realizing that creating dependents still very much depended on luck.
Aje had consumed more than double the energy Qiqi did, yet in terms of intelligence, Qiqi was more than double his superior.
In the current situation, Qiyun couldn’t say he didn’t need high-combat dependents, but those with higher intelligence were relatively more useful.
