After sealing the room, Qi Yun concentrated intensely, his thoughts spreading through the established network of vibrations.
Using the innate abilities of the Main God, Qi Yun searched the Earth for suitable candidates.
The first candidate had to be rigorously selected. Qi Yun didn’t have abundant resources, so he was cautious about ordinary people.
He was now relying on the first worker to be efficient enough to allow some recovery of his depleted resource pool.
Since discovering which world he was in, Qi Yun had a rough idea of whom to choose as the first candidate.
First, Captain America, whose character is just and firm abilities, can handle most tasks well. However, choosing Captain America meant slower initial progress, as he was merely a soldier.
Second, Spider-Man is kind-hearted, has decent scientific abilities, is physically strong, is quick to react, and has a specific resistance to harsh environments.
The drawback? He’s too childish, which could lead to mission failure due to distractions.
Peter’s death wouldn’t be a big problem for Qi Yun, but a mission failure would be, as recruiting another person to develop his operations would take much longer.
Third, Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D., with extensive experience in espionage, is approachable and a proverbial ‘village chief’ for newcomers, possessing strong reciprocal capabilities, especially with a large organization backing him.
The downsides are numerous, starting with his abilities. It’s not that Qi Yun was mocking him, but with Coulson’s skills, most missions would be challenging to complete, and the initial failure rate was alarmingly high.
Choosing him also meant a higher risk of exposing the Main God, which, while not a significant concern for Qi Yun, would be troublesome with many eyes on the matter during the early stages.
Fourth, Tony Stark is an ideal choice with solid personal abilities. Even with rudimentary equipment and a single missile, he could handcraft a suit of armor. His high intelligence meant a high probability of mission success.
The downside was his safety. Once chosen, Qi Yun couldn’t just rescue him directly. If Tony died at the hands of terrorists, Qi Yun would be devastated. However, after receiving a gift, with Tony’s capabilities, such an event seemed incredibly unlikely.
The other issue was his complex personality. Who knew what he might do during a mission?
Qi Yun wasn’t an omnipotent Main God who could ignore their antics. He had to avoid the Ancient One lest he negotiate terms like Dormammu.
Similarly, Thor wasn’t on Qi Yun’s list either. Odin was still too much to handle at this point.
After much deliberation, his thoughts floated between several candidates, and Qi Yun finally settled on Tony Stark in the Middle East.
This choice balanced risk and reward, making him a suitable opening character.
Once decided, Qi Yun didn’t dwell on the alternatives. Once he made up his mind, it was set. Changing his mind now would be pointless.
Focusing on the vibrations, Qi Yun successfully connected with Tony Stark.
Tony was frantically working on his armor, trying to escape.
“Eligible candidate… Main God space is now open to you…”
Hearing this voice, Tony touched the wires on his chest. Was this thing affecting his brain?
“Eligible candidate… severe physical damage… relatively stable vitals…”
“Scanning complete… intelligence level surpasses 99% of subjects…”
Tony paused his activities as the continuous voices made hallucinations unlikely, given their logical consistency.
Dr. Yinsen approached Tony, worried. “Tony, are you feeling alright? Is the battery dying?” he asked anxiously.
Tony raised his hand, signaling Yinsen to be quiet, feeling that his chance to escape had arrived.
“Initial selection benefits expanding…”
“Expansion complete, Tony Stark. Will you join the Main God space?”
Qi Yun anxiously awaited Tony’s decision. If he chose no, it would be the worst possible start.
Thinking this, Qi Yun wished he didn’t have to give candidates a choice. Couldn’t he get them on board first and sort out the details later?
Tony pondered briefly before speaking softly, “What does joining the Main God space entail? What will I gain, and what must I give up?”
Yinsen, beside Tony, only saw his lips moving without hearing any sound, making him wonder if shrapnel had reached his brain.
“Joining the Main God space, you will traverse worlds for a set period to complete assigned missions, with rewards determined by your success…”
“Moreover, the Main God space is omnipotent!”
Reading the information Qi Yun sent to his mind, Tony began to believe in the Main God space. Transmitting such detailed text into a human brain and maintaining it wasn’t simple.
“Omnipotent? Can it revive the dead?”
Images of his father, Howard, and his mother flashed through Tony’s mind as he spoke.
“The Main God space has several methods to revive the deceased, with success dependent on the method.
, the revival item, and the subject.”
Hearing this, Tony felt an impulse, but his thoughts became clearer at this crucial moment.
“Can you get me out of here?” he asked, needing confirmation on a few things.
“Query limit reached. Please choose, join or not join.”
Qi Yun set a limit of one question per person, as information was valuable and not to be squandered.
Tony felt that joining might mean going from boss to worker, but being a worker was better than being dead, especially if the information from the Main God space was accurate, giving him a chance to bring back his deceased loved ones.
“I, join!” Tony declared decisively.
At that moment, the information in Tony’s mind exploded into light, entering his body.
“Tony! Tony! Are you alright?” Yinsen shouted, ready to call for help if Tony didn’t respond soon.
“I’m fine.” Tony smiled at Yinsen, “Trust me, we’ll be able to leave here soon.”
“I know, but you still need to take care of yourself. If you go down, we’ll only be able to leave as corpses,” Yinsen said with concern.
