Thanos’ message was clear: he was ready for a confrontation, challenging Qi Yun to accept the fight.
Satisfied, Qi Yun retracted his hand. He had no intention of interfering with the Battle of New York, as the battle would strengthen the connection between the Marvel world and the Main God Space.
With a flash, Qi Yun teleported to Thanos’ asteroid.
The asteroid was barren, with dirt as its primary substance. It did not have an atmosphere, a feature only planets could sustain.
This was Qi Yun’s first encounter with Marvel’s ultimate villain.
Thanos differed from his expectations, especially compared to the movies.
However, it made sense. A character who could go toe-to-toe with Rogers wouldn’t be someone Ancient One and Odin would fear so much.
As Qi Yun observed Thanos, Thanos scrutinized this Asian man.
Earth’s fortune was remarkable. Not only did it produce Ancient One, a Sorcerer Supreme who could intimidate multiple dimensions, but also Qi Yun, a figure not inferior to Ancient One.
Without much to discuss, they began to fight.
Qi Yun knew he wasn’t skilled in diplomacy and wouldn’t be able to convince Thanos to abandon his grand plan with mere words. A direct confrontation was the best solution.
Flames of the Eight Gates Released Formation emanated from Qi Yun. In the Main God Space, Qi Yun could use all skills, including those of Guy and Lee.
However, this Taijutsu had little effect at their level.
Even with the Eight Gates open, Qi Yun was pummeled by Thanos, unable to find his bearings. The power disparity was immense.

Seeing Thanos getting serious, Qi Yun shed his playful demeanor. Being treated like a ping-pong ball was not fun.
A strange wave emanated from Qi Yun, infiltrating Thanos’ body, and activating some of his cells.
Under Qi Yun’s command, these cells started attacking others.
“Such petty tricks are meaningless!” Thanos trembled, instantly killing the rebellious cells, and new ones filled the void.
“I said, don’t rush,” Qi Yun replied.
The link to the Ice World in the Main God Space was unlocked, and a torrent of ice burst forth.
The asteroid’s temperature plummeted by over fifty degrees, the icy chill carrying a decaying essence.
As the ice spread around Thanos, a tangible force exploded from him, creating a clear path through the ice. In an instant, Thanos was before Qi Yun, his right fist crashing down.
Though it was just a probe, Thanos would be pleased if it ended Qi Yun here.
As Qi Yun retreated, he slapped Thanos’ arm, sending another virus into Thanos’ body.
Having mastered the Resident Evil world, any opponent of Qi Yun first had to withstand this potent virus.
The virus was strong, but Thanos’ immune system was formidable. His immune system identified and eradicated the virus after raising his temperature by thirty to forty degrees.
Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique.
Qi Yun pointed forward, a fireball over a hundred meters in diameter shooting from his fingertip.
Thanos’ response was simple—a powerful uppercut dispersing the fire’s elements.
At the moment of contact, the mutated virus reentered Thanos’ body.
On Earth, Ancient One and Odin stood side by side, watching the battle from afar.
It wasn’t that they didn’t want to eliminate Thanos; any move would prompt Thanos to vanish.
“Who do you think will win?” Ancient One asked.
“Neither,” Odin replied.
“Qi Yun is skilled with diverse abilities but lacks a decisive move. It’s all flashy techniques.
“Thanos has mastered the power law, but without restraining abilities, his strength means nothing.”
“Well said,” Ancient One nodded. “But I can never understand Qi Yun’s source of power. Is the world beyond really that intriguing?”
“Interesting or not, you can see for yourself,” Odin said coldly. “I hate fighters like you, so unsatisfying in battle.”
Ancient One smiled, saying nothing. Their fights were similar to Qi Yun’s, and Odin probably recalled unpleasant memories of seeing Thanos.
As Odin noted, neither Qi Yun nor Thanos could decisively end the battle. They knew it would ultimately become a test of endurance.
So, the fight wouldn’t last long.
Thanos needed his strength to execute his plans and maintain control.
Qi Yun needed his energy to ensure the growth of the Main God Space and avoid a return to square one.
