With another snap of his fingers, the alternate space that had just enveloped the eyeless man instantly expanded, including the entire space station, and continued to expand rapidly. It only stopped once all of Qi Jun’s energy was depleted, maintaining a size of approximately one hundred standard football fields.
“Ten thousand points of energy for a hundred football fields? So, a hundred points of energy per football field?” Qi Jun squinted his eyes. “This size seems to be somewhat different from Kamar-Taj’s Mirror Dimension.”
Kamar-Taj’s Mirror Dimension is a subspace magic centered around the caster, always moving. This magical space isn’t large, but it can move, meaning that even if it’s kept open while traveling around the Earth, no one will notice.
In contrast, Qi Jun’s alternate space, while also making it impossible for those outside to observe or touch it, is relatively fixed. This is a slight flaw. However, Qi Jun didn’t mind; the space was large enough for combat. Moreover, the alternate space magic adjusts with the caster’s strength—the stronger the caster, the larger and more stable the space, able to withstand greater destruction.
“Taibai, can you hear me?”
Although Qi Jun was confident, he still tested it. As expected, Taibai, who would usually respond immediately, did not reply this time. Even though Taibai’s server was in the corner of the space station within the alternate space, it couldn’t communicate with Qi Jun.
With a thought, ten thousand points of stored energy from the Reality Stone quickly vanished, and Qi Jun’s body was once again filled with energy.
“Heh, this is better than Iron Man’s Thor’s Hammer power source—faster, safer, and more potent!”
“Alright, activate heat vision!”
Qi Jun’s eyes turned red, and two laser beams shot from his eyes, striking the edge of the alternate space. However, aside from a slight tremor, there was no change.
Qi Jun didn’t stop; he increased the energy output and began rotating rapidly, his heat vision sweeping across the entire alternate space. Despite consuming all his energy, the space remained stable.
“Good! Let’s continue!”
Satisfied, Qi Jun restored his energy and used his super breath to test it—still stable! He then tried a super hurricane—still stable! Even with his super strength—still stable!
After multiple tests, consuming his energy down to the last ten thousand points, the alternate space, though slightly weakened, remained stable.
“Haha!”
“It’s perfect! This strength can definitely withstand Skye’s unconscious and even conscious outbursts!”
“Now, let’s test the last one—space power against space power!”
“Space Burst Magic Ball, ready!”
“Launch!”
Boom! A massive azure light flashed, and the alternate space shattered like a mirror, quickly disintegrating. A shockwave passed, and the entire alternate space completely collapsed.
“Uh…”
“So this is what ‘fighting fire with fire’ means.”
Scratching his head, Qi Jun didn’t expect the alternate space to shatter like that. But seeing the space station intact, he was relieved. The shattering of the alternate space had nullified the power of the ‘Space Burst Magic Ball,’ which was good.
“Tsk, you’re still alive.”
Looking at the eyeless man reappearing in the space station due to the collapse of the alternate space, Qi Jun was somewhat speechless. “Didn’t I strip you of your powers? How are you still unharmed after all those violent tests?”
In fact, Qi Jun forgot that the eyeless man was behind him. All the impacts that could harm him were absorbed by the Reality Stone on Qi Jun.
“Taibai, recharge me, daddy needs power!”
Shaking his head, Qi Jun ignored how the now-ordinary eyeless man survived and headed back to his favorite spot—the lounge chair—feeling the emptiness in both his body and the Reality Stone.
…
“Indeed, the energy consumption when teleporting someone depends on the person’s abilities.”
After recharging and returning to Earth with the now-powerless eyeless man, Qi Jun noted that this time, the energy consumed was minimal—about ten times that of the rabbit, which was still insignificant for him.
With a teleport, Qi Jun appeared in ‘Afterlife,’ dropped off the eyeless man in his room, and then teleported back to the observation deck of the company’s tower. With the location data of the Inhumans copied, Qi Jun could now easily enter and leave ‘Afterlife.’
As for the Inhumans, Qi Jun wasn’t particularly concerned, just as he told Skye. It didn’t matter if they existed or not. His actions were merely to deter Jiaying, whose traumatic experiences had completely blackened her, making any reconciliation with ordinary people impossible. Qi Jun didn’t care; as long as she didn’t cause trouble, it was fine. How to handle it afterward was Skye’s concern, not his.
…
“Wow, the mist is all gone? Looks like I came just in time.”
Back at the observation deck, Qi Jun noticed that the Terrigen Mist in the glass container had completely dissipated. Skye was encased in a dark, unknown substance, forming a round ‘cocoon.’ He quickly waved his hand, pulling the entire glass container into the alternate space.
“Hello!”
“Powerful and mysterious sorcerer!”
Qi Jun did not enter the alternate space with Skye. Instead, he seemed to be waiting for the bald woman who appeared from a portal—Ancient One!
