Lan Xingyu and Thor, along with their companions, arrived at the palace, chatting and laughing along the way. Suddenly, a sound resonated throughout the palace, signaling that the Allfather had an important announcement. Everyone began to gather at the palace, and Thor said, “Father is about to start, let’s go inside!”
“No worries, we can get there faster! Gate,” said Lan Xingyu, and a portal appeared in front of them.
“Do you know? I’m not sure if there’s anything you’re not capable of,” Sif exclaimed, and the others nodded in agreement.
“Hehe, it’s nothing. Anyway, let’s go,” Lan Xingyu replied, diverting the topic. It’s really tough being so capable, he thought.
They entered the grand hall, where they saw Odin seated on his throne. They all bowed and then stood aside. After a while, seeing that everyone had arrived, Odin struck the floor with his spear again, sending a wave of energy throughout the hall, marking the official start of the meeting.
“Today, I have two announcements to make. First, my son Thor, leading his team, has successfully quelled the rebellion in Alfheim, bringing peace and honor to Asgard. Thor, the Warriors Three, and Sif, step forward to receive my blessing.”
Thor and his companions approached Odin and knelt on one knee. Odin released a divine light, imbuing them with his power.
“Your achievements will forever be recorded in Asgard’s history,” Odin said as another divine light shone upon the ceiling mural, depicting their heroic actions in Alfheim.
“You may step back,” Odin said after bestowing his blessing.
“The second announcement concerns Lan Xingyu, disciple of the Sorcerer Supreme. Step forward to receive your title,” Odin declared, much to the surprise of everyone present, including Lan Xingyu himself.
Everyone was shocked to see such a young boy being honored by the Allfather.
“I, Odin, Allfather of Asgard, hereby declare that from today onwards, Lan Xingyu will be the first non-Asgardian prince of Asgard, with all the rights and privileges of a prince, including the unrestricted use of the Bifrost and the authority to bring others to Asgard.”
This announcement stunned everyone, including Lan Xingyu. The privileges granted to him were immense, even greater than those held by Thor.
An epiphany struck Lan Xingyu’s mind. Could Odin be trying to bind me to Asgard, ensuring my help during Ragnarok? Regardless, the gift was too significant to refuse. Fine, it’s just Hela. If she dares to come out, I’ll just put her back. With great power truly comes great freedom.
Under the witness of everyone, Lan Xingyu knelt on one knee and said, “Thank you, Allfather.” This signified his acceptance of the responsibility to protect Asgard in the future.
Odin nodded in satisfaction. “You may rise. As a prince, you no longer need to kneel before me or any other Asgardian king. Step back.”
Lan Xingyu rose and walked over to Thor. Thor nudged him with his leg and gave him a thumbs up when Lan Xingyu looked over. Lan Xingyu, seeing Thor’s playful side, smiled and made a funny face back before standing aside.
“The following celebration honors Thor’s victory and welcomes our new prince. Enjoy yourselves,” Odin announced, and with another strike of his spear, the palace courtyard transformed into a grand banquet hall filled with delicious food and numerous chefs ready to serve. The feast began with the sound of horns.
Lan Xingyu saw Thor boasting to his friends and wondered where Loki was but decided not to ask. Noticing his teacher wasn’t there, he became curious. Just then, Frigga approached him.
“How is it? Are you enjoying the food?”
“Yes, it’s delicious. By the way, Frigga, have you seen my teacher? I haven’t seen her.”
“She had to leave for an urgent matter. She told me to tell you to play as much as you want and return when you’re tired. She also mentioned that you should use the Bifrost to return, as it might give you some insights.”
“Oh, I see. Okay then, Frigga, I’m going to play with Thor and the others.”
“Alright, go have fun!” Frigga said, giving Lan Xingyu’s cheek a pinch. Ah, so cute and fun to pinch, she thought.
“Alright, I’m going.” Lan Xingyu, with a hint of frustration from being pinched again, ran off as a flash of light to find Thor and the others. Given his cuteness and now his title as Asgard’s prince, he quickly became the center of attention at the feast.
The next morning, Lan Xingyu woke up in his grand palace, marveling at its splendor. Compared to the apartment he had in his previous life, this was incomparable. Now, Lan Xingyu’s name had spread throughout the universe. Asgard’s stature was such that even the Collector had to bow before its warriors. Asgard had sent out a message to the major powers in the universe, introducing Lan Xingyu as their new prince, making headlines across the universe.
After breakfast, Lan Xingyu decided to bid farewell to Odin and headed to the Allfather’s hall. Upon notifying the guards, he was allowed entry. Seeing Odin, he approached and bowed slightly.
“Good morning, Allfather. Thank you for the hospitality these past two days, but I must return now,” Lan Xingyu said.
“No need for such formalities. From now on, consider Asgard your home. Remember, you are now a prince,” Odin replied kindly.
“Thank you, Allfather. I will take my leave. Goodbye!” Lan Xingyu waved his hand cutely under the sunlight.
“Goodbye, child. Remember to visit often.”
“Will do!” Lan Xingyu replied before opening a portal to find Thor and the others. Unfortunately, they were all asleep, except for Sif, who was practicing her swordsmanship. After bidding farewell to Sif, Lan Xingyu made his way to the Bifrost. Upon seeing the iconic structure, he was filled with curiosity. There, he met Heimdall, the guardian of the Bifrost.
“Heimdall greets Prince Lan. How may I assist you?” Heimdall asked.
“No need to be so formal. I’m just here to take the Bifrost back. Thank you, Uncle Heimdall.”
“It is my honor. Please follow me.”
Heimdall led Lan Xingyu to the entrance of the Bifrost. He inserted his sword into the center of the platform and said, “I’ll start now. Please be careful, Prince Lan.”
“Understood,” Lan Xingyu nodded. As Heimdall rotated his sword, Lan Xingyu was enveloped in a beam of light and transported into the Bifrost. Watching the colorful light walls around him, Lan Xingyu couldn’t resist touching them. As soon as he did, immense spatial energy began to pour into his body.
Back in Asgard, Heimdall noticed something was wrong and was about to close the Bifrost when Odin’s hand stopped him. The hand’s owner was none other than the Allfather himself, Odin.
