“James, we should calm down. Lawrence is dead. What kind of force can so easily claim the life of a vampire? This power is truly bizarre,” the female vampire pleaded with her lover to give up. They had long lives ahead of them, and there was no need to fight to the death here stubbornly. Losing their lives for no reason was utterly pointless.
The random death of the black vampire instilled real fear in her.
What good was their strong regenerative ability if some peculiar force could suppress a vampire’s healing powers? The black vampire had become a complete corpse, showing no signs of revival.
James grabbed the female vampire by the neck, “You want to give up? Don’t you see his attacks are getting weaker?”
Has he weakened, or have we become more assertive? The female vampire looked at the body of the black vampire and remained silent, her silence a clear expression of her stance.
“I admit, this guy’s abilities are strong, but it’s just the same few moves back and forth. Once we figure out the pattern, he’s not that hard to handle. His connection was close with that woman before, but now it has shifted to us. Don’t you see what this means?”
James lowered his voice, “I always feel that if we could control this ability, the power we could wield would be immense! Think about it! If we could unravel the secrets of this power, the vampire elders would have no choice but to kneel and kiss our feet!”
Through bribery, threats, gentle persuasion, and harsh warnings, the two vampires reached a difficult consensus—they would continue fighting this strange entity! And take out that sassy woman as well!
Killing the black vampire had been a release for Death, whose existence was hard to interpret from a human perspective. He had once existed, then fallen, and now resurged, many things no longer the same as before.
For the entire world, he was still in a phase of reacquainting himself, like a newborn child, except unlike a typical infant, he possessed tremendous energy.
The fight with the vampires and the female ghost’s defeat made him realize the differences between ordinary people and the supernatural. He took this experience and began accumulating energy, preparing for the right moment to launch a new round of attacks.
At this moment, Bella had parked her truck on the roadside, curiously observing the nearly scrapped but still pursuing ghost truck.
The truck’s tires were destroyed, and its engine and transmission were either gone or broken. The vehicle looked pitiful but still moved towards Bella’s location at a snail’s pace, powered by the vengeful spirit within.
At this speed, who could you kill?
“Racism never ends well, huh!” Bella picked up a stone from the roadside and threw it, hitting the left door of the ghost truck with a dull thud, causing another dent.
This truck is done for! And the ghost inside it, too!
She quickly came to this conclusion.
If Bella were an ordinary person, she might have screamed her lungs out and run as far away as possible, like the typical female character in horror movies. But clearly, she was not.
She approached the ghost truck with a bit of excitement. The closer she got, the more enraged the truck seemed, roaring and shouting, trying to run over any bystander.
“Still trying to be tough?” Bella grabbed the severely damaged door of the truck and yanked it off.
The truck was still moving forward, albeit plodding, allowing Bella to enter the cab quickly.
“Huh?” Sitting before the steering wheel, she noticed a misty, ghostly figure trying to form within the white fog, from which she could faintly hear the screams of innocent victims crushed under the truck’s wheels.
“Ha! Good thing I came to take a look!”
At first glance, she recognized that the misty figure was likely the soul of the truck’s driver, previously too damaged to materialize fully.
It seemed he was preparing to absorb the negative emotions accumulated in the truck to heal his wounds.
Once the truck driver’s soul was restored, he would likely continue his pursuit of Bella.
“Your luck is terrible!” Using her primary skill, the psychic shield, she smashed it toward the passenger’s seat as a weapon.
The misty figure, sandwiched by the psychic shield, was squeezed in the middle.
It lasted less than two seconds before the collective negative emotions, existing as supplements, exploded from the inside out, and the truck driver’s soul was on the brink of collapse.
Just as Bella was about to finish him off, a white light suddenly appeared outside the truck door.
Tall, with black hair covering her face, she wore a white dress and was barefoot.
“Take me home.”
Bella couldn’t control her emotional fluctuation, reacting as if seeing a family member, “What the hell! Big sis, you’re still alive?!”
For Bella, anyone who sincerely praised her beauty was a good person. A
Family member!
“Take me home.” The female ghost pointed to Bella’s pickup.
The exact words, but with a significantly different meaning.
Bella carefully considered, furrowing her brows as she deciphered the information she sensed from her psychic abilities. After a while, she tentatively asked, “Are you saying you’ve merged with my truck?”
This answer was unexpected yet reasonable.
The pickup had been used by an Indian tribe for nearly thirty years, picking up a bit of the tribe’s spirit in the process. Afterward, Bella drove the truck multiple times to evade Death’s attacks, which, in a way, gave the vehicle an undead attribute.
When the female ghost was beautifully killed, by chance, her remaining soul essence merged with the pickup.
She escaped her fate of seducing passing male drivers, and the pickup also became different from before.
The female ghost nodded, then pointed to the other ghost truck, “Take me home.”
Bella scratched her head, then thought, “Do you want the parts from this truck to modify the pickup you’re now residing in?”
“Take me home.”
“But the pickup is my truck! What? It’s mine during the day and yours at night? Are we switching shifts or something? That’s as weird as driving a taxi.”
“Take me home.”
“Let’s negotiate two conditions then. As long as you don’t randomly kill people and praise me every seven days, I’ll agree. How does that sound?”
After some negotiation, Bella and the female ghost amicably reached an agreement.
